B&B Hotel Girona 2

On the second day the hotel closed our rooms cause they booked our reservation to B&B Madrid but I paid the bill at the reception �n Girona. Was not any information about the cancel of the rooms. At the reception they solved the problem but was strange.

Great hotel for the price. Everything one would need, with little extras like unlimited coffee and treats to greet you. Will definitely consider this line off hotels in the future. Perfect for what I needed.

Location was not the best, but also not far from where I wanted to go.

The staff were great, clean and rooms well equipped.

The noise overnight was horrendous. Unfortunately the aircon doesn't work over winter so had to have the window open. I rang reception about the noises outside and they even rang the police. There was loud banging and it made our little dog upset and he barked. Very disturbed sleep which has made our onward journey very challenging.

Comfy beds..nice powerful waterfall shower in a refurbished bathroom. Nice breakfast. Good location on a bus route to girona Town

I have to stay and...

Although the hotel was okay, I had to leave a few hours after checking in due to safety reasons. Upon checking into this hotel, I parked my car at the outdoor parking lot. When I went to grab my bags from the car I noticed a man on a bike riding around and looking into different car windows at first I thought he may be working at the parking lot. But when I was unloading things from the trunk he was right behind me trying to make conversation. It the occurred to me that he may be casing out vehicles to steal from. I reported this to the front desk to which I was told not to worry and that they have security cameras. When I returned to my room I saw him and another man in the lot by my car looking up at the hotel and trying to see which room I was in. With the reception being of no help I decided to pack my bags and leave immediately to a different hotel outside the city center. I would not recommend staying here if you are travelling with a car that you need to park at the lot as it seems the staff does not care about loiterers on their property. Few months ago I was rob on the hwy near Girona and police did not do anything. If you carry not Spanish licence plate do not stay in this hotel.

It's outside of the centre, only good if you have a car.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The coffee machine was an added bonus so we could top-up our caffeine levels for the road trip. The B&B rooms are small but very clean and adequate. Everything is kept minimalistic to fit in with the company's eco-friendly reputation. This hotel is one of the cheaper options available in this area, so it fits into the Value For Money category.

All good for this 3-star level of stay.

Good 1-night stay for our trip home

Small (bath)room. Staff at breakfast asked us 4 times our room number Towels were not in the bathroom but in a bag on the coat hanger!! Took us a while to find them

location is good, lots of public car parking spaces available.Friendly staff

Noise from outside, could hear cars driving past

The window would not fully open. They have it set up to hit a shelf so you can't open it more than 10cm. They said all rooms are like that. They switched their AC to heat only (November), but the room was hot and stuffy and we couldn't ventilate it because of the issue with the window. Also - the mini refrigerator was extremely slow in producing any cold. It pretty much took a whole night to cool a few items.

Walking distance to a large supermarket.

Unpleasant odor in the lobby at all times. Lack of ventilation/stuffy. Noisy construction nearby. My worst hotel experience during my 10 day trip.

Value for room

The reason for the low score is based on AC that didn't work. And I couldn't switch rooms because the issue was hotel wide. I had already unpacked as well. The windows don't open fully, you can just open a little bit. My Garmin device had the temperature at over 80 degrees at 10pm! Needless to say, sleep was difficult. Reception did offer a very minor refund of a few dollars but it wasn't a good experience overall. I also got the impression that the hotel knew the AC situation way before I checked in so not really acceptable from an ethics perspective.

The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. They suggested places to eat nearby, offered complementary hot drinks and just positive service overall.

Loud construction work outside which started at 8am. The room felt like it was vibrating. Harassed on multiple occasions for money by the homeless people who sadly live outside of the hotel in the car park - it didn’t feel like a safe area and made us feel on edge when leaving the property or getting in/out of the car.

Free coffee and croissants, place to store bicycles, very comfortable room with fridge.

Bathroom was tiny and you have to open the door just to sit on the toilet.

Property is in good conditions

Too much light coming from outside. Pillows were very soft.

We had a lovely short stay at the hotel. The staff were so welcoming. Comfortable and clean rooms. Well connected to the city center (2 min walk to the bus stop), and easy to reach from the highway. It's a great option if you're travelling by car
