    Pros +

    • Great location and a good price as the stay was in a low occupancy period. Very good breakfast. The beds were very comfortable but the bathroom is rather dated (white tiles etc.). But a having a bath after a winter's walk is always nice:)
    • Good location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
    • A charming facility that felt remote but was close to town. Welcoming staff and delightful restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Cons -

    • Even with a low occupancy one of the restaurants remained open. Bathroom rather dated but didn't affect our stay at all.
    • While the room and bathroom were clean, the bathroom had a light unpleasant odor, the source of which I did not manage to locate. The free Wifi did not work. Instructions said "connect, accept the conditions, done", but on my PC I never got a chance to accept anything, no matter what I tried. Being an IT guy, I used multiple browsers and also attempted multiple ways to trigger the request, but no luck. On my iphone, at first, I did get a request to accept, but the connection still did not work. After making my iphone forget the hotel network and trying again, nothing worked (as was to be expected - the network recognized my iphone as already having accepted the conditions). Wifi signal strength was good, even if the spectrum was quite crowded (I checked both using a dedicated Wifi inspection tool) but no usable connection ever resulted. I ended up using my iphone as a hotspot, having learned long ago that raising technical Wifi issues to general hotel staff is a waste of time.
    • no bathrobes for going to pool, no slippers in room

Lovely environment in the middle of the forests, beautiful and spatious room, great breakfast. Grateful for the upgrade we received: initially we had received a noisy room due to the fact that it was situated above the restaurant. The room we received was spatious, with a lovely terrace.

Our dinner in the restaurant upon arrival was mediocre, even though the restaurant is very pleasantly furbished with a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The vegetarian hamburger was chewy, the dish with fish mediocre....young people at work in the restaurant - also during breakfast somehow didn't seem very interested in doing their job. What a pity when you are able to work in such a nice environment. Overall, the hotel may enjoy a bit of make-up: it does reflect a glorious and luxury past but may need a bit of modernisation.

It turned out that on Sunday all facilities are closed so no bar, no restaurant not even some snacks/coffee in the seating area. No notice during the booking of this.

In the middle of the woods and beautiful design. We loved walking around in the nature.

Lovely gardens and staff were very nice

We ordered two main courses which came with fries and salad. We had to share one portion of fries and salad between us! I asked the waitress if this was correct and was told YES you have to share.I then noticed a single person eating the same meal on the next table with the same amount of fries and salad as we had been served and instructed to share. We both went to bed that night feeling hungry after such a small portion.

The garden was like a botanical garden

There was a cat around the smoking area and was constantly being chased away from the bench. Let the poor thing sleep on a pillow there are enough chairs and benches available

Very clean room. Great breakfast, including a lot of Vegan options.

    Hairdryer is weak

Excellent location in the forest, very quiet room. Good price.

Buffet Breakfast too expensive. Room not cleaned every day, only on request

    Nothing, terrible service by telephone.

The hotel took payment through booking. I paid for the room 1 day before check-in. But according to the message from booking service, the hotel refused to return the payment. In addition, the reason from the hotel was stated - they called me a fraudster for unknown reasons. It is a very cunning and impudent policy of the hotel to take money and not provide the service.

    Location

The room was very small and outdated and the shower head didn’t even screw on properly. Everything felt very old and stuffy which was surprising considering the price.

    Beautiful location

Room on the small side, the hotel could use an overall refresh

I like the surroundings and general hotel vibe

No safe in the room. I was there for work and needed a safe for my laptop. Staff were not helpful. Not coming back.

    7LeePosted on: 4-15-2025

The hotel is set in a quiet relaxing area away from the hustle and bustle

Sadly, walls and floors are thin, i have issues with sleeping, i dont want to seem like im binning off the property, so see other reviews, my sleep issue is mine, bonus points i would of given if i had great sleep

    10RichardPosted on: 4-7-2025

Traditional and slightly dated in some respects but that manifested itself in exceptional service that is rare these days. The staff could not have been more helpful and considerate. I rate this hotel very highly.

Some rooms could do with redecoration but equally that could see a loss of character.

Beautifully situated in a wider forest/park area, great for walking/cycling; reception staff friendly; restaurant staff very friendly and helpful; great food; terrace is wonderful; reception are is neat and spacy; rooms are a bit outdated but fine.

Great location. Ample parking and good F&B facilities

The rooms could do with a refreshing update, decor is old and tired
