Airport Plaza Hotel Hamburg

The hotel was clean and new. Some areas still under construction. The food was buffet style, and not bad.

The air conditioning in the room did not work. It was too hot and we had to leave the windows open all night and hear the airport and trucks going by. Not much sleep, had to catch an early flight to the United States. Coffee maker didn't work. Not happy

Hotel is nice enough, reception staff were very friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable.

I understand this is an airport hotel, but unlike my colleagues who stayed on 1st and 4th floor, I (on the 7th floor) was woken around 5.30 by planes taking off, which wasn't great, since I had client meetings all that day, so I didn't really sleep well. Breakfast was a bit odd, very few staff, all a bit disjointed.

Property was very good and the staff excellent, especially the staff in the kitchen and restaurant.

The walls in the room are very thin and we could even hear our neighbours sneezing

We asked for a high floor and a room overlooking the airport if possible. the girl behind the counter pulled a flanker and gave us the best view in the whole hotel. Awesome The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing

The waitress looking after the restaurant didnt speak any english but we managed to communicate our way through ordering. It was a little awkward and we dont expect eveyone to be able to speak all the languages but for a hotel next to the airport with a restaurant it might be handy having someone who can speak english. The food was out of this world.

Everything was fab

A very good sized room the only down side was some difficulty encountered with keeping the room at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was much better than we had expected. All staff we encountered were incredibly friendly. The bar was very good with exceptional staff.

Location and staff

I was on the third floor wanting a good nights rest before an early morning flight. The noise from the sky bar was so annoying that I went down to complain at middnight, others had already complained. Music went on to at least 0100. I would not reccomend this place. Resteraunt was closed due to a function. Fair enough but at least let people know so they can make other arrangements. Place was very clean, staff good and location was also good. No charge for parking also good.

Airconditioning wasn’t great in my first room. I was moved to a different room when I brought it to their attention.

Nice hotel before (or after) a long flight. The room was clean and comfortable. The shuttle was very convenient, as well as the gym. We enjoyed a drink at the Sky Bar for sunset which was really nice. Ordering take out food to the lobby was no problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would happily stay at this hotel again.

The check in process could have been a bit more informative about the hotel/ restaurant etc. We had to ask for everything but the lady was very friendly and helpful. The shower smelled a bit (maybe coming from the drain). The hours for the sauna didn't work well for us, maybe start an hour earlier.

The staff were welcoming and kind.The gym and sauna, a real plus. The room was spacious, clean and the bed and bedding was very comfortable. I loved the pillows and quilt. The restaurant was convenient and the breakfast was amazing! I would definitely come again!

Going from one building to the other was very slightly inconvenient but only because it was rainy and windy. That said, there is a roof covering and the walk was a short 25 feet so really not a big deal.

The receptionist was pleasant and efficient during the quick check-in.

I had an unpleasant stay this time. I couldn’t sleep because I could clearly hear the person in the room next to me snoring all night. When I mentioned it to the receptionist, the only response I got was “OK.” Also, the burger wasn’t good this time.

Shower handle broken,No cold water from the tap at the sink.

Had everything you need including sauna, fitness until 23.00, a bar overlooking the Landebahn and a shuttle service to and from the airport. Friendly and helpful v comfortable.
