Nordsee Apartments

Pros +

• We did not use the breakfast facilities, which would have entailed pre-booking and a short car journey. We were coming from a funeral service 400kms away, so arrived after 9pm, so at least collections of keys at a hotel desk was a good way of accessing the property as we did not know actual time of arrival.

Cons -

• Not having any particular directions or parking information at the hotel desk and not being informed of which apartment we were booked into meant we had to travel up 6 floors (no lift) and try the keys in every door on the way up, was not helpful. Also getting a family bag of luggage up the stairs was not for the faint hearted! No particular parking was allocated so we parked on the streets. More information was only available within the apartment, so earlier access to information would have been helpful. Location was on a busy road but the window glazing was good enough for noise protection. Not much available on this street for breakfast or other options and no indication that I could see about sorting out any laundry requirements. I think this had been oversold on the website. The shower was excellent. The size of accommodation was also very good. It was also very clean and felt reasonably new. There was mention of additional cleaning charges for the number of people staying, which was not apparent on the pre-booking information and I do not know whether we have been charged for this as I pre-paid for the accommodation.
