Staff were very helpful

If you are arriving by car understand that there is no front of the hotel to arrive at. You will drive around forever looking for it. The staff was great but the location was a disaster for us when we came in late at night.

Nice location, friendly staff at the reception.

They could pay more attention when cleaning the rooms (we found hair and some black material residue on the sheets, tiny but visible and we had to remove it by hands)You can't take anything from the hotel restaurant - there is a note places on every table. I didn't pay attention and brought two bananas with me to eat in the room, and I had to take them back. Honestly, this is the first time I'm seeing this rule and it doesn't sit right with me. I understand that we should not take entire plates of food out, but we're talking about fruit that we paid for. Soundproofing could definitely be improved. Our room was in the building with the reception, and we could clearly hear guests above us, particularly at night.On our last day, they decided to change the advertisement on the roof. A truck and lift were operating all day, so it was impossible to relax in or around the hotel due to the noise. I understand the work needed to be done, but the timing was unfortunate, especially with the busy season just starting.

This hotel is awesome! Really good quality for the price! The pool was super amazing, the breakfast was pretty good! And the staff were very friendly. It also in a good location!

Something you can hear stuff from outside but around 11pm it’s very quiet

The hotel is in a great location and is spotlessly clean.

We went all inclusive and based on our experience I would not recommend it. We were made to feel like we were freeloading and made us very uncomfortable. As an example we arrived around 10pm on our first night and had missed dinner but reception had let us know we could get snacks from the bar. All inclusive ended at 11pm so we dropped our bags off and went to the bar. We ordered 3 glasses of wine and a beer for 4 of us and asked what snacks were available. This was met by a lot of gesticulating from the server, tapping is watch etc and saying it was finished for the day. It was maybe 10.40 at this stage. Eventually he handed us what I can only describe as a thimble of nuts between 4 of us! We then went to order more drinks, totally aware it was after 11 and we needed to pay but the server was NOT happy! Later in our trip, bearing in mind we had been there 4 days and the bar servers were well aware we were a party of 4 2 of us went to the bar to get 4 bottles of water and were refused. They would only give us 2. Ridiculous! The disappointment I have for this trip is particularly based on 2 bar servers who were rude, bad tempered and made us feel like they were personally paying for our drinks! Exceptionally bad service eg you had to bring your glass back to the bar before they would serve you another. The rest of the staff were very nice and reception staff particularly helpful.

Position of the hotel, very comfortable room.

Food quality was very poor for a 4 star hotel. Hotel is now modern but the queueing up to go into the restaurant is antiquated. Coffee was like Tar. Other 4 star hotels better and cheaper.

The staff at the reception was really nice and accommodating. Also during breakfast and dinner. We loved them! The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location near the beach and the center. The reception, bar and pool area were clean, modern and cozy.

ROOMI didn't like the cleanliness of the room. The towels were dirty. I immediately went to the store to buy a new towel. You could see smudges on the furniture, as well as on the toilet seat. Crumbs on the ground, broken trash can in bathroom, bad shower drain... There is constant noise from the street and from the surrounding rooms. The balcony door is very poorly soundproofed. Air conditioner noises from other rooms could be heard during the night.(not recommended for insomniacs, trust me..) Our room had a transparent window from the bathroom to the room, which I consider totally illogical. With an open balcony, a person from the building opposite the hotel can watch you while you shower. Although I was traveling with a girlfriend, we lacked the privacy that everyone needs. I don't understand this idea with the window in the room. A classic wall would be much better.FOODBreakfast and dinner were fine, but I expected a little more from a 4-star hotel. Kudos to the nice, friendly and funny cooks. No drinks are served at dinners. You have to pay for water and other drinks. It's my fault, I didn't notice it when I booked, but it surprised me. I thought it only applied to alcoholic beverages.SERVICIESI was also surprised that there is a charge for using the safe. I will not pay extra money to keep my valuables safe in a four star hotel. What a joke...I carried valuables with me.BARWe decided to go for a drink in the hotel bar. The older bartender was quite unpleasant and sarcastic. He didn't speak english. Well at least he pretended not to. I'm sorry my spanish isn't perfect, but I would expect a hotel employee at a resort to speak english and be polite and friendly. We had a drink and didn't want another. At least not from this bartender.

The staff were unbelievable! Marie Carmen and her team in the restaurant especially Lidía & Rodrigo were fantastic! The chefs were all brilliant, food was lovely all week. Nice variety in the buffets. Location is great near the shops and the beaches.

The pool area is quite tight for space but the service makes it worth it!

Bathroom cleaning can be done better.

The staff is very friendly and there is always someone you can turn to if you need help (for example planning an excursion or buying tickets). Most of the staff there speaks Spanish and English, but also a little bit of French, Russian and German. The hotel provides parking spots underground if you come by car. There is also a bar and a canteen that offer a variety of drinks and food to any liking and you will most certainly love all of it. The location of the hotel is optimal: it is very well placed in close reach of the bus station, the beach, the main shopping street, the city centre, a hospital and a supermarket (Novavenda) just a few meters from the hotel. Apart from that, there are of course a number of restaurants, cafés, bars and everything you need practically just around the corner. When we had a medical emergency, the staff was quick to act and was very supportive in the recovery process. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bertran and would choose this hotel again.Thank you again to the whole staff of Hotel Bertran!

There is only one minor inconvenience we would like to point out and that is the noise isolation of the rooms. Of course, nobody can be safe from noisy neighbors but it is simply something one must be aware of when going to a tourist destination.

- Very small fitness center- The water in the shower sometimes became boiling hot unexpectedly- The safe in the room was not working- While the location is convenient, it can also be a disadvantage due to the noise, especially at night

Hotel looked as pictured. Reception staff were lovely. Room was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Bedding was clean. House keeping were friendly and helpful.

Some of the breakfast staff were quite miserable but helpful enough. There was one particular bar staff that was so rude to everyone, adults and children. He took a water gun from a child in the pool and was shouting at him. This child was just playing as you would expect on holiday, none of us guests were bothered by the child and no one had complained, but this bar man was angry about it for some reason. He tried to snap at me and tell me as an adult, that I must sit up straight in the sofa chair that I was relaxing on in the bar. So I snapped back at him and told him where to go and not to talk to me. He snapped at some females asking questions about the lunch menu. Unfortunately, I did not get his name but I will upload a picture of him. This man needs to be retrained in customer care and customer service or leave the job because he is a miserable old man.

The staff were really friendly, especially the reception.

The bed was really uncomfortable, and the sheets had bad smell. The room were not new nor clean, definitely not as what it shows in the Booking.

Close to city center, a lot of restaurants and the beach near by, nice pool and nice staff at the bar

The room has only one key. Double rooms has glass window, so if you are a couple, you will live in the room where you can see each other in the bathroom

Air con worked well, but couldn't change mode to heating.Parkimg good but exit ramp very steep not easy to managed.

The hotel is in a great location. The pool, the cocktails, the kindness of the staff are excellent.We were able to stay in the hotel on the day of departure and use the pool. The luggage locker also includes a shower, which we were very happy about.

The junior suit room is not enough for 3 adult.

Parking and location

It felt more like a 2-star hotel: small and extremely basic room (no desk), thin walls (giving the feeling you live with all your neighbours in the same room) , worn-out bed sheets ( I had the feeling that they were not changed after the last guest) and squeaky bed.

Was very clean close to the strip and local shops food was nice

Small pool not anuth sun loungers but I'd still go back
