    Pros +

    • We liked the views from our room and the wonderful balcony on our royal suite. The suite was spacious and had chairs to lounge outside. The bedrooms each had a bathroom and big bed. The breakfast was ok. The coffee was quite good and the restaurant had good views of the beach.
    • Breakfast is great, many options and nice ambiance. View is ok
    • It has a pool.

    Cons -

    • The property needs an update. For the price, we should have had conditioner and hand soap in the bathrooms. The staff didn’t acknowledge us when we came and went. The hotel looks to be under large renovation. One showerhead in my bedroom didn’t have any hot water and it clearly hadn’t been used in a while (it had a bad odor when the water first came out). The hairdryer in the second bedroom didn’t work and smelled like it was about to catch fire. Very limited parking and tight spots.
    • The "walk" to the beach. Very hard not suitable for older people. I woudn't sale the property as beachfront
    • It’s huge like a maze. Not easy to get around. Confusing. The balcony door didn’t lock. The bed was very uncomfortable.

The safe did not work in the room so we opted out of cleaning service. I asked for towels at the front desk, the woman was very rude then housekeeping came with the towels and yelled at us for opting out of cleaning service. The bar staff managers also accused us of not paying our bill when the bill was not ours.

This hotel has exceptional charm of classical villa, every corner of the hotel is filled with so much vibe and charm. Lots of antique and beautiful interior decoration elements. Lots of greenery everywhere! Pleasant music plays in the corridors and terraces. Outside is just as amazing too, with nice location high up above Illoret de mar, you can really feel yourself separated from the noisy streets and crowds below. The food was good, as is the service! Anyone scared to be having troubles walking down to the beach of Illoret de mar - you shouldn't be, because there is an option to go to the nearby hotel (which is also owned by the same owner) and use their elevator, which takes you down to the streets level! We have been in many hotels across the world, but this one definitely gets its place in our top 5 list for sure!

We wish to have a bit more electric sockets in the room, but considering that this is old classical villa - it is not expected.

The view from our balcony and the pool area was lovely.

The room was not as pictured on the website and smelled of sewage. I complained when we were first allowed to see the room, but no rooms were available until the third day after multiple complaints, and the room was much smaller with no discount offered. Other than one staff person, the employees were rude and not helpful.

breakfast was exceptional, grounds were amazing with views

room was alittle less than expected though very clean

Good location over looking the sea and the ambience of the garden and the bar is great! We love the flamenco performance. The rustique designs of the decorations are amazing.

The pillow so hard and cant sleep well with its structure. Had a bad neck after.

The hotel has great and very green territory, the main building looks gorgeous; the pool area is nice and has great sea views

The furniture in the rooms is quite old and I can't say my room was super clean; balcony furniture is not convenient at all.

Everytjing was great apart from the bed was so uncomfortable I got a very bad neck. Also the hot tub and plunge pool were out of action and the massage chairs were no where to be seen.

Hotel is beautifully located - you can expect amazing views. To get there you have to use stairs or go up the road since it's on higher level. However they came up with solution - you can go to their partner hotel just next to and use their elevator to get to level 0 or 6 without much effort (although I would't recommend for people with walking disabilities if you don't have a car with you). The building is very nice, including the pool area. I really enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Plenty ways to sit outside at the hotel and enjoy yourself. The staff is very nice however be careful they do not speak English - the best is if you use spanish. Very enjoyable breakfast (we did not have other meals). Rooms were clean. We also loved that you can book a transfer from Girona airport using a company that hotel cooperates with (you can find it on their website).

The building is a bit loud (we could hear noises from other rooms), uncomfy beds and pillows. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom every day. Wifi is bad so if you need to use it during your stay don't count on this hotel. A minus is also already mentioned lack of English speakers in staff.

Big choice of tasty food, entertainment most evenings, spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, large balcony, interesting decor.

Room outdated and damaged furnishings, unfriendly staff, especially head waiter in restaurant, very expensive car park, we needed urgent assistance from reception in the night and found that room phone doesn't even work to call reception.

    7DarynaPosted on: 3-19-2025

The views are absolutely stunning, and the location is perfect—right in the city center, close to the sea. The breakfasts were delicious, offering a wide variety of options.

We checked in on March 15th and encountered several issues during our stay. There were no slippers or bathrobes in the room, so we went to the reception to request them. The receptionist with curly hair was rather rude and informed us that slippers were only provided for guests in suites. When we offered to pay for them, our request was still refused, forcing us to find the nearest shop to buy slippers, as the room was quite cold.Additionally, the room and bathroom had no ventilation, resulting in an unpleasant sewage smell. The housekeeper took our towels but didn’t replace them, so we had to visit the reception again since the phone in our room wasn’t working. We also didn’t receive new toiletries throughout our four-day stay.On the positive side, the views were amazing, and most of the staff were very friendly. However, these issues made our stay far less pleasant than it could have been.

Perfect views over the bay from an elegant old Spanish house transformed into a lovely hotel. Gardens, large pool and multiple terraces, bars and restaurants wrap around the hill top site. Breakfast is excellent, taken as the sun climbs over the castle

    Nada...

Spacious luxury rooms, well maintained. Very comfortable beds/pillows. Nice terrace with sea view. Breakfast and Dinner were exceptional. Great value for money. Private, secure large car park near reception. Beautiful views and high position on hill top.

    All was good. Highly recommended.

The location, the views, the decor, dining hall/restaurant with amazing views, cosy feel, huge room

    10GwenPosted on: 11-20-2024

Location was great, nice and quiet away from the beach/"strip" below. Rooms are lovely and comfy, the hotel itself is beautiful and feels homely. A great selection for breakfast too and very kind staff.

The only thing I can comment is that our bathroom smelled a bit musty. But each day we opened the window for a while and it was fine, nothing serious at all.

Comfortable, great art and views from terraces. Pool bar was great. Bed very comfortable, excellent breakfast. Sea view room with large balcony. Good air con. Booked for a week but stayed a further 5 days.

    Soundproofing not great.

Fabulous views over Lloret de Mar from the pool and bar area, set in lovely grounds.Friendly helpful staff and a tasty, varied breakfast.Large bedrooms with updated bathrooms.

There is quite a few steps down to the town from the hotel which are steep and would make it difficult to access for those with mobility issues.
