    Pros +

    • Beautiful grounds, wonderful staff, and a fantastic restaurant. We also had a private spa experience which was so relaxing alongside massages. The staff were all very attentive and the breakfast was fab, they even provided a takeaway breakfast as we left very early.
    • Beautiful location - wish we had time for hiking. The restaurant was amazing. Both breakfast and dinner were so delicious and the serving staff was exceptional.
    • The property is over a 1000 years old and carriers so much history on a beautiful location - you can see the city and the sea on the distance. Restaurant is amazing, worth having dinner and breakfast. Room as big and comfortable.

    Cons -

    • The road there was a little long - make sure you follow their instructions as we didn’t at first and ended up going on a horribly bumpy road. The restaurant was great but if you stay here for a few days it can feel repetitive.
    • Very bumpy dirt road leading to the hotel. Unfortunately a massage was not available in the night we stayed.
    • It could be a bit more clean - the very dark wood floor makes it harder to see but there were many many other guests hairs on the floor. The rest was good!

The hotel seems very remote and yet still offers a distant sea view. It is also close to nearby beaches and botanical gardens.

Sant Pere del Bosc Hotel & Spa is a beautiful property operating far under its full potential, at least during our visit. The wooded, dusty drive up to this hotel was lovely as we gratefully left the loud and crowded Lloret de Mar behind. We had high hopes arising from the online photos and remote location of the hotel. Alas, those expectations were not to be met by this property or its staff. After a short drive up the rutted dirt track, we came upon the impressive structure revealing itself above the trees and looming over a small vineyard. It is hard to describe why we both sensed an odd heaviness laying over the stunning beauty of the property as passed through the metal gates. The receptionist was friendly enough. Although, as he explained the services and policies to us, he flipped from a couple seconds of slow english to large spans of very fast catalan, which left us not fully understanding a whole lot. The deluxe double room was smaller and less well appointed than the ones in the online photos. It was warm and had no real place for two to sit and relax. The window sill was high enough so that we could only enjoy the view while standing. The pool was lovely, but we found the sculptures at the pool and on the property a little artificial and unsettling. In addition, there seemed to be a strange disconnect between the kitchen and reception as if they were two totally separate entities. The main kitchen person was somewhat unreceptive to our questions, curt and kept referring us back to reception. Reception was very upbeat, but somehow spoke in a way that always left us slightly under-informed, if not confused. In the end, this hotel left us perplexed. With all its impressive component parts, it has so very much potential, but from our perspective, it is dramatically falling short of its promise.

The location is truly exceptional, offering breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions. The architecture of the hotel is impressive, blending traditional charm with modern elegance. The food was absolutely delightful, showcasing the best of Spanish cuisine with a variety of dishes that left me looking forward to every meal. What made the experience even more special was the incredible service, particularly from Mercé, a wonderful waitress. Her warmth, attentiveness, and friendly nature added a personal touch to our stay. Mercé went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a combination of great location, fantastic food, stunning design, and outstanding service. A truly unforgettable experience!"

Beautiful setting and grounds. Very peaceful and relaxing. Friendly helpful staff who went the extra mile. Also quite quirky, which added to the charm of the place. It's in the hills above Lloret so you need a decent car and be confident driving on unmade roads. This all adds to the experience!

Looked pretty in pictures and the pool was nice. Breakfast was great & staff was fine.

The decor in the rooms was very odd and bare. The pool was nice but strange. The 15 minute dirt road up to the property was not worth it. No lobby or lounge area and the wifi was terrible. Way too isolated from everything and lacking in ammenties to make up for the isolation.

The hotel is beautiful from the outside with its well maintained pool and green spaces. Towels are provided for the pool and water temperature is good. The breakfast tastes good. The staff is kind and helpful. The bed is comfortable. A phone is provided at check-in which can be used to send any request. The room is big. They accepted to delay the check-out until 12 pm.

The air conditionner system is very loud in the room, I woke up to it several times at night. The garbage bin is too small we had to put another bag of our own in the room for garbage. There is no box of tissues in the room, while this is provided in other hotels with lower stars. When we asked for one, the staff was kind to provide some tissues but still not a box.The toilet paper is rough and cheap, I had to use my own toilet paper. The breakfast is not a buffet, it is served for 2 people at once, so it is not possible to eat at different times, but the staff agreed to take the remaining part to the other person in the room. There is no tea variety, they only have ginger lemon tisane, even when I ordered green tea they said yes and brought that same tisane. All of the above is unexpected in a 5-star hotel. On top of that, hungry cats are all over the place, they don't let you eat peacefully, and one of them even took one of our pastries during breakfast and ran away with it.Finalyl, in order to reach the hotel, there is a rough dirt/gravel road of around 3 km which we were suprised about.

The room was a good size. The pool area was excellent and the staff helpful. The restaurant was very good and the food excellent. Nice setting earring outside. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Our room was in the eaves and I had problems moving around the room without banging my head on the low ceilings. The shower was a stand-alone and leaked onto the floor. The shower itself was good. The wifi was a challenge. Although the location is peaceful the road to the hotel was a gravel road.

Room was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent.

The dirt road was difficult, leading up to the property, but I understand the Hotel Spa management and owners are not allowed to maintain that surrounding property where the dirt road to the Hotel is located.

Nice looking place and great dinner

Breakfast was horrible, service in the morning terrible. Our poached eggs looked like barely heated. The “SPA” did not have any towels and at the reception we were told that white towels can’t be used at the pool.

Absolutely stunning property! The hospitality was great, we were greeted really warmly at the reception and our needs were promptly answered whenever required. It really is a very charming space that was quietly tucked away. The accompanying breakfast was a feast. We also had a delightful dinner one of the nights. The staff were all polite and friendly.

None! The curtains was fixed wrongly but were rectified once we requested. Some might find the drive on the dirt road up challenging.

Characterful luxurious and spacious. Really interesting architecture. Superb atmospheric dining experience. Both dinner and breakfast were awesome and quite unexpected.

The bumpy "off road " drive to hotel over protected land was very much part of the experience.
