    Pros +

    • The room was spacious, very modern and nicely decorated. The place was very quiet, the restaurant pretty animated. Good value for money.
    • We stayed at Hôtel 1770 & Spa during a road trip to Spain and chose it for its convenient location outside Avignon. The hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. The rooms were extremely comfortable—spacious, with a beautiful bathroom, great lighting, and every detail thoughtfully designed. It was a relaxing space that exceeded our expectations for comfort. The hotel is also pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us as we traveled with our cat. They were very thoughtful and provided a food and water bowl, which we greatly appreciated. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the indoor pool looked fantastic, even though we arrived too late to use it.
    • Breakfast was lovely. The location is helpful in that it is close to Avignon and theoretically has easy parking. If you want to roll out of your hotel and see the sights, this isn't the place for you.

    Cons -

    • It can be applied to many hotels, but once again, instead of a welcome drink, when arriving, you are considered as a potential bad actor and they will make a copy of your ID card, which they don't have the right to according to official texts. As the stay was already paid, we are taken hostage. Furthermore, they requested a credit card, although the night was already paid for. You understand that they don't trust you, but it's the hotel that is breaking the law. (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/cnil-direct/question/un-hotelier-peut-il-faire-une-copie-de-ma-piece-didentite)
    • The restaurant was average, though we didn’t expect a fine dining experience for an overnight stay. We didn’t try breakfast as we had to leave early to continue our road trip, so we can’t comment on it.The main downside was the waiting time during check-out, which took longer than expected.
    • Parking was a big issue on the weekends. There's a restaurant and nightclub, so between 7pm and midnight, not enough parking is available. The staff were friendly did what they can, but I hope the hotel finds a better solution.

clean, comfortable room, modern facilities, a bus stops 100 meters from the hotel that gets you into town on a 30-minutes ride, thus sparing you the search for a parking lot.

If you expect a „spa hotel“, beware that there is no option to relax outside your room beside the single room sheltering the inner pool. The hotel is situated in a suburban business park without a garden or a quiet place, armchairs, or any such. The pool is located in a single room hardly bigger than the pool itself and was fully occupied by other guests each time we went there during our 3-nights-stay. As we were disappointed by the overall setting described above and considering that the prices for the massages were rather high compared to offers we had encountered in other top rated places in Germany and France, we did not go for a treatment. The breakfast was decent but also quite pricy - well, you have no choice to go anywhere else unless you drive into town first. After our first night‘s dinner, which was ok, we preferred to try out several options in Avignon mentioned in the Guide Michelin and always were glad about our choice.

Great swimming people and nicely decorated. Loved the coffee machine in the room too.

Breakfast was disappointing. Expensive for lack of choice and poor quality.

    Everything was exceptional

Friendly staff and decent price to stay the night.

Hotel is in an industrial area. The hotel looks to be recently renovated, however it leaves a bit to be desired. Beds are connected via jack-straps, the pool area had a strange sewage smell and there was some trash in our room when we checked in.

Very clean.Nice staff.Good restaurant on premises.

From picture you would think it is a mansion in the countryside. Actually in commercial zone on outskirts of Avignon.

Very friendly warm service, kept well updated on reservation, nice big room, good restaurant adjacent to hotel/on site, staff are great.

Beautiful building, exceptional renovation to high standard.Friendly staff, great restaurant on site Spacious well designed rooms , bathroom is excellent standard.Close to Avignon for the day and back. Le Pontet is a commercial area but we didn’t need to leave our hotel.

Lovely converted old building. Just outside Avignon with regular buses until late into centre. Fabulous buffet breakfast, in the evenings the restaurant served delicious dinner, but could walk to good choice of other places to eat if wished

spacious and clean room, very helpful staff

we had a visiting lizard one night that was difficult to trace…the hotel is located in the industrial area which is not attractive to walk in the neighbourhood.

Amazing stop! Great staff, lovely room, super comfortable bedding, clean, the indoor pool is great! it was very very good!

    Nice hotel, clean rooms

We eat at the hotel restaurant and pay the bill at the restaurant. But when we checked out they tried to charge us again for the restaurant bill. After i told that we paid for it they said it was ok. After two days they called my phone and told me that they checked the restaurant cameras and saw that I didn’t pay. It was completely nonsense and I sent them the cerdit card approval for the payment. They didn’t bother to apologize.

    10AnnaPosted on: 6-29-2023

Extremely clean, great swimming pool, perfect family room, delicious breakfast with lots of different choices of fruit, bread, cheese, juices, etc. Factory restaurant highly recommended for dinner.

    10RoyaPosted on: 5-11-2023

We were happily surprised with our room, the warm indoor pool environment, and more than that, by the quality of the brasserie restaurant attached. It got quite busy with locals on a weekday, with good reason. Good food and ambiance.

Family suite is great for 2 adults 2 kids under 5 and a baby. Dominique and Sandrine are exceptional and could not have been more helpful.

    10XiPosted on: 4-17-2023

very clean and the staff are extremely nice !!! make the whole difference of your stay.

the breakfast may have a bit more choice, maybe because we were very late ?

    8CarolPosted on: 3-16-2023

very comfortable hotel, excellent and friendly staff, room and shower very good all facilities you need in a room. there is an adjacent spa but we were only there for 1 night so did not get to use it, there is also an adjacent large restaurant called The Factory food was very good as was the service, breakfast was in a nice room off the hotel, good amount of food and choice available. The lady on reception was exceptional!

would have been nice if you could walk to a town, it was on a retail pk , which was not a major problem for us as we had our car and we are in the restaurant, it was quite at night so sleeping was not a problem.
