Pros +
- We picked this hotel at the last minute. It was one of the cheaper choices aroundat only about 70 euro per night, and we needed to stay 5 nights to explore the area. It must have been a swanky resort at one point. Now it looks like it's almost abandoned.
- Location and View
- Pretty setting.
Cons -
- Looks run down and like it has seen better days. Rooms small, bathrooms smaller. Barely enough things like tissues. Shower dumped water everywhere, dangerous. 20 mins from Koblenz. Needs a makeover- only stay there if you're saving $.
- Carpet needs to be replaced
- No air conditioning. Wait staff in the restaurant were inattentive but better than the bar/lounge where they obviously would have preferred I not be there to disturb their conversation.

The hotel had a wonderful stretch of nature around it, and it wasn't too far from Koblenz or Lahnstein's centre. (I took the bus and it was no issue.) Staff was super nice and very helpful. Will come again!
Comfortable bed, nice staff, great view, good breakfast.
No air conditioning , understaffed, disorganised .
What a unique location. Transportation is needed to go anywhere but it is a wonderful location at the top of the hill just north of the Marksburg castle. Forested hills, and directly behind the hotel is a large park with fish ponds and fountains.
I love the location of the hotel my room had a great view of the river. Its quiet and relaxing. The prise was amazing, I think that's the cheapest I ever paid for a hotel in europe.
I love everything no comments
Beautiful balcony views. Staff was very helpful. Property is perfect for a retreat.
Further from the city than anticipated. Not a good choice without having a car.
Big and in a beautiful location
Dated furniture
Helpful staff, beautiful views, excellent breakfast. Surprised at the mountain top location.
Power outlet by the bed was faulty
Since the hotel perched on top of a hill, the view was amazing. Couple of hiking trails around so we enjoyed the walk. The rooms are ok - nothing to shout about. Hubby enjoyed the sauna room after long day out.
I didn't like the fact that I have to pay 3 Euro everyday for the parking and 14 Euro for the dog (everyday). I would appreciated if this information was stated upfront. The breakfast was good for those who stayed for 1 or 2 night but since we stayed for 4 nights /breakfast....the menus remained the same (except for 1 warm breakfast tray alternating between bacon/sausage/meatballs).
Great room, just the right size. Great breakfast. Perfect for me needs.
kind of far away up a hill
Breakfast, location
Dirty window, drapes, rusty toilet and blood stain rug also broken furniture and light switch broken and hanging loosely. The hotel is one of the worst we have stayed in very out dated. There was also lot silverfish insect coming out of the rug and mold with Crack cement on the balcony. Nothing like the websites pictures. We will not be recommending this place or coming back.
The quality of breakfast was very average
Washroom locks not working, kettle was very dirty.
ROOM WIT EXCELENT VIEWS OVER ROLLONG HILLS WITH MEADOWS AND FORESTS. EXTENSIVE BREAKFAST SELECTION.CHECK-IN WAS SMOOTH. RECEPTIONIST VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
WOULD HAVE LIKED AIRCONDITIONING, BUT PROPERTY HAS NO A/C. FRIENDLY RECEPTIONIST GAVE US A FAN WHICH HELPED ON THIS UNUSUALLY HOT DAY - 32 DEGREES.
Great breakfast options, excellent lobby, and overall facilities. Value for money!
Last day there was no hot water. So we had to leave without taking a bath !
I have stayed there twice now. The hotel has seen better days and now looks a little tired in places. Nevertheless the staff are very friendly, My room was warm, clean and comfortable and the included buffet-style breakfast was excellent. The location offered stunning views from my balcony. The prices of the rooms represent very good value for money. Also there are a choice of good restaurants nearby.
We arrived late at the evening, around 10 PM. The guy at the reception spoke almost no English. At the check-in, he required us to fill some paper forms that were already prefilled with our data. He claimed that we need to provide some missing information, but could not explain what exactly is missing. It came out that nothing is missing. On every question regarding the check-in procedure or even simple things like "when the breakfast begins tomorrow" his answer was "could not say, it is my first night here". Fortunately, in the morning a nice lady was working at the reception and we made everything clear thanks to her. Otherwise, very nice hotel, good breakfast with hot and cold meals.
Comfortable bed, large room, friendly staff. Location has great potential. Tower looks cool from a distance.
Very outdated and run down building in dire need of a serious refurbishment. Degrading concrete, worn bubbling carpets, broken furniture (repaired with medical tape!)
The area is very nice. The breakfast delicious.
The double room was very small for two people but we managed.
