Hotel Jakob

Perfect location, good breakfast, friendly staff, with atmospheric historic building & neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Jakob very much. The location is perfect for exploring Rapperswil and surrounding towns. The staff is warm and welcoming, and Stephanie was particularly helpful and gracious.

The hotel is very well situated and, despite being very central, the room was quiet (no street noise or any other for that matter). The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, a decent selection. The coffee was excellent for hotel breakfast standards, much appreciated.

Given that the room was not huge and that we had a separate bathroom, the cost of the room was on the high side. But I guess this can be attributed to the location and the fact that everything else was fine.

The hotel Jakob is a good hotel but I reckon you need earplugs re the bell tower.

The opposite bell tower kept on going at night and kept us awake.

The location is fantastic, right in the center of the old town square, walking distance to the train station, lake and small shops. Big rooms!

The location of this hotel is brilliant, a 5min walk to the train station with direct services to Zurich and 5min away from all the restaurants and the lake. Everyone working at the hotel were very nice and helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great in the evenings.

The quality of the breakfast was good but with limited variety.

Amazing location, very close to the beautiful castle and in the old part of the city, very good Wifi and good breakfast...

Great setting in the main square of the Altstadt. Convenient for the harbour area, the train station and restaurants. The hotel is ideal for a short stay in the centre of Rapperswil. The staff are very polite and helpful.

You definitely pay a premium for location. The rooms are basic but clean. However, because of the convenient location, I'd stay again.

Spacious room, great location and the AC was helping us with the sleeping in the summer nights

The AC was leaking a little bit but the hotel is working on it. The price was higher because a local festival.

Breakfast was delicious. The staff really approachable and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. We needed three rooms for the size of our party. Two were next to each other which was fab!

We ended up with our third room on a different floor which made things a little tricky but not impossible.

Very nice, friendly, helpful reception ? Nice place in this small town! Near to the station! My room really good to my purpose!

For price and the fact we were only sleeping and leaving the next morning, we opted for the shared bathroom. Everything was perfectly clean and fine. However the price for a room with shared bathroom was not value for money.

Breakfast was typical Swiss, which may be disappointing for those who look for hot food, more fruit. Nice to have an egg boiler, but it was kept at low temperatures, and took time to hit boiling

Great location. We were here to take part in Ironman race. Hotel is close to train station and to the start/finish line of the event.

The location was perfect for my needs.

The air-conditioning in my room didn’t work and it was unbearably hot at night, so that I couldn’t sleep. Also the shared bathroom sometimes made life difficult and very inconvenient.
