    Pros +

    • Beautiful exterior and fabulous gardens.
    • The breakfast was good as always as the room.
    • Beautiful chateau with very spacious rooms and bathrooms. We were very comfortable and the view from the hotel is also very beautiful. The garden in front of the hotel was also very nice for a stroll

    Cons -

    • Interior is vey dated with stained carpets in the hallway. Check in area bends a major refresh and pictures on the walls as well.
    • It would of been nice to be able to have something to eat when we arrived at 9.00pm apart from a apple. The room coffee facility was minimal.
    • The public transport connection to the hotel was limited - the cable-way is working until 6pm, the bus comes every hour and works until 7:15pm. The bikes are available for rental, but going uphill each evening is hard, also there are (almost) no dedicated bike paths in the area which makes it less safe.If you don't come by car - prepare to walk a lot.

The personnel is very polite and attentive. The hotel building and the neighborhood around was exceptional. It was quiet in the hotel and pleasantly cool inside the room.

beautiful castle in a wonderful setting. High above the city that's reachable by cable car. Staff were very helpful and available at all hours

Interior design a bit at odds with the traditional style of the castle.

Amazing historical building. Big and confortable room. Very nice onsite restaurant, albeit it took the staff a bit too long in between food servings.

Love this place and the lovely young trainee staff. Food excellent.Very helpful staff who helped resolve issue with our flat tyre

location, the restaurant was fabulous, we have a wonderful 3 course meal, the staff were excellent. Thank you guys.

shower in room a little awkward, that's all.

An excellent building transformed into a spacious and luxurious hotel. The gardens all around will be magnificent in a couple of months

Superb location, magnificient building, comfortable and quite spacious rooms, the feeling of staying in a castle. The prices of the minibar were surprisingly fair, around the prices you usually get at the train station. (Just 2-2,5 times more than normal price, unlike in most of the expensive hotels)

The room could be cleaner (there was some mould near the windows), The staff was friendly but it could have been better. There were no toiletries apart from a tank with soap and another one with shower/hair gel hanging on the wall. To get bathrobes and pantofels, we had to go back to reception and ask for it.

The staff, the views, the food and the ambience

Breakfast was expensive for what was on offer. After the fantastic dinner, breakfast was an expensive disappointmentThe shower was dangerously slippery- nothing to hold onto . Better to get rid of the bath and replace with stand alone shower

Lovely setting of the hotel on the hill of Namur. Reception staff on arrival was very friendly. The room was good and comfortable. Breakfast was very good in the morning and eggs were cooked fresh as required. Dinner was good but it took a long time to be served and the waiting staff (I know they are students) were not very organized. I would stay again and it would be nicer to stay at a different time of the year when the garden was open.

    Slow service at dinner time.

The hotel is largely staffed by trainee as the hotel is linked to a nearby college for tourism etc. The staff were brilliant. Attentive, polite, friendly. There are also some non-trainee staff. The food far exceeded my expectations. I intend to return.

Some of the staff could not speak English to a level I would expect in this standard of hotel.

Nice location on hilltop surrounded by open park space.

Could use an uplift, especially rooms.

    8AnzhelaPosted on: 11-9-2024

The hotel provides a beuterful view of city as it locates on top of the highest hill. There is very nice staff.Rooms are cozy, but decorated with kitsch elements. The hotel are close to city citadel.

Room lighterning reminds night club and quite difficult to deal with.

    8NapaphatPosted on: 10-26-2024

The room is amazing for the price, I get more than what I expected to get! The garden is beautiful, the roses smells really nice and the view is spectacular!

The bed was comfortable but the light switch above the bed is indeed cool but when you turn off all the lights it becomes too bright having to put a pillow above it. It was a little bit annoying that I was awake at 7am in the morning with someone hammering the wall somewhere in the building, it kind of ruins my experience because I was tired from work and my sleep was disturbed. I went to a restaurant, the food was nice, I believed the service was supposed to be great but a lot of the staff don’t speak English as I am not from Belgium. And because of that the staff didn’t really speak with me or explain about the food like what they did with the other table. So for me the restaurant experience was not that nice because it seems that they’re ignoring me almost (I know that they didn’t really want to). It would be much nicer if they know enough English at least to communicate with international guests. The location is difficult to get to without a car but it comes with an amazing view.

    9KeanPosted on: 10-23-2024

The chateau is a lovely building in a beautiful location. Although it is winter and so the gardens were not full of colour, it was still lovely. Very quiet resulting in a good night’s sleep. We chose to eat in the restaurant. The evening meal was superb and excellent value for money. Service was also excellent by our waiter Luka. Breakfast buffet also excellent. The shower was good, the room had a bath. The bed was large and comfortable. There was a fridge, mini bar. The hairdryer was an old fixed to the wall type. Luckily I took my own. Kettle and coffee machine provided.

We weren’t able to use the EV charger. We have an electric car that we drove from the UK so it was a great disappointment to not be able to charge the car during our stay. Hotel reception said the charger was not theirs even though it was in their car park and said it was up to us to know how to use it. It had no instructions or QR code. The only option was to plug in and scan a card. It wouldn’t take a payment card.

Grounds, view from room, quiet location, accommodating staff, breakfast, phenomenal dinner

Lighting options in the room, bathtub slippery and potential to fall (thankfully didn’t happen)

The hotel is largely staffed by trainee as the hotel is linked to a training school for hotel / tourism. They we excellent. The setting for the hotel is superb. The food was excellent with small extras added to improve the dining experience.

More road signs to the hotel through the maze of residential streets.
