    Pros +

    • The fact that they have a fine dining and amazing restaurant, and great spa makes it a great place for couples. Also I loved thet there was a gym open at anytime... makes it easy to do some cardio and some basic weight lifting.
    • The man at reception was very kind and respectful. He catered to all my requests. I would have liked a kettle in the room as well as some English breakfast tea bags. There was only a coffee machine
    • Central location - 20 minutes walk to town centre. Nice and friendly staff.

    Cons -

    • It's not much to dislike, actually... maybe I would place a water source on the hall of each floor to kinda get access to drinkable water at anytime (but one can also buy water from the minibar)
    • Room was very small and located towards street, so quite a lot of noise. Parking a bit difficult for people with difficulty walking.
    • Prices at the bar and restaurant. The menu is good but ate out as the prices were quite high.

Excellent breakfast! Amongst the better ones I've experienced. The room was comfy, with a very good shower and bed. Staff was very helpful and friendly

Staff super friendly and polite. The room was great, the bed is perfect. This was my second visit. Room facing the river and the main road was very quiet.

Prices at the bar and restaurant. The menu is good but ate out as the prices were quite high.

My husband and I had a great stay; we loved the room, the view from the room (river view), and having a bath was a great extra! The hotel boasts of a nice bar and exceptional restaurant (take the chef surprise courses!), as well as delicious breakfasts. The hotel is situated close to everything you want to see and visit, and the staff was all super friendly.

We loved it all, don't get us wrong! We did find the room a little cold, actually, and even though we had the "air conditioning" on full blast at 30⁰ did help, it is uncomfortable to sleep in a room with this temperature. I'm sure we could've asked for blankets, but it might help having some in the cupboard. On the second day we had breakfast, the bacon was all finished. We realised we probably could've asked for more.

Modern design, beautiful and very comfortable.

The only minor negative was the carpet that was not always spotless.

Very helpful staff. loved decoration of the common areas. Food quality was excellent.

The lights on the upper floors next to the lift turn off much too quickly before you can insert the room cards. Need adjustment.

Beautiful small hotel in Namur a côte de Meuse river.

The shower floor is very slippery, be careful.

Contemporary design. Male it known to your future guests that the closest train for walking is actually Jambes and not Namur.

Wall in shower needs replacing at bottom. Floor of shower very slippery and dangerous when stepping out.

nice breakfast , clean friendly staff

We travelled by motorbike and booked this hotel as it had secure parking for the bikes. Staff were nice. Everything was spotlessly clean. We didn't have any meals - so unable to comment. We had a great laugh in the tiny swimming pool, big enough for two people at most, which has a glass side, so that people in the bar area can see you swim. Different!

However, the decor was not good. Black walls and carpets in the corridor and three black walls in the room, which we found made it so very dark. This is the style of the hotel. Not enough adequate lighting in the room - too dark. During our two night stay, our friends were woken up by people in the bar area very late 3;00 am, on the first night, and on the second night I was kept awake by people in the bar area up to gone 4 a.m. This is not acceptable.

"The charming Snail is perfectly and quietly located by the Meuse River, ideal for exploring the picturesque Namur. The excellent and lovely breakfast in the courtyard with a pool, as well as the parking in front of the house, are particularly noteworthy.

The location is fantastic, and Namur is beautiful.

The shower had grime all over the back wall. An orange layer of water mould was all over it as though it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Other than this, the room was clean.

Great staff, very comfy bedroom, good breakfast

Bath/shower wasGood but small gap in the glass made the whole floor wet and slippery.

    9KatjaPosted on: 8-7-2024

We booked a superior room with garden view and had a room on the top floor with a cool terrace overlooking the pool and garden. The bed was comfortable, the room was a bit on the smaller side though. The staff was friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and sitting area by the pool.

The corridors are a bit dark and some areas could have been cleaner (but to be fair there were some reno works going on when we were there). The pool is quite small.

    Comfortable room with easy parking.

Restaurant and pool both tiny and food very expensive. Breakfast very expensive for what was on offer. Booked a room with a river view but given a ground floor room so river view obscured by wall!
