Pros +
- We were traveling by bicycle. The hotel has plenty of bike parking space in the back parking lot. About 10 of the spots are covered. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to get into our room early. The room was spacious. The air conditioner was strong. There was a large selection of food on the breakfast buffet. Gluten-free bread was available on request. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the center of town and was easy to access.
- Great location and close to a delightful Italian restaurant! The room was a good size and the bed was fine. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and was the perfect start that we needed before we got back on the road for another long drive.
- Bed comfortable. Luckily we were able to change room as in our allocated room the previous occupants had been smoking
Cons -
- Small room, poor breakfast, 176 euro per night at such unsafe location, it is cheating
- We got to the hotel around dinner time and all of their parking was already full for the day. That was a bummer and there was no sign on the hotel's parking gate that indicated this. I also didn't read that the room didn't have a refrigerator and was stuck with leftovers that I couldn't keep cool.
- I’d asked for plain unsweetened yoghurt at breakfast. On the first day the staff said there was none so I bought my own. I later raised this with a staff member who insisted that there was unsweetened yoghurt and even showed me, but when I said that this was refused when I’d ask said - oh well it was the weekend! I also mentioned that there were no soya yoghurts available and he said - well this is a budget hotel!! I pointed out that we’re living in 2025 and the addition of soya yoghurt is hardly going to result in bankruptcy

Good
Only one of fourth reseptionists was trully polite, one was really rude, at the night shift on 28 feb. The others were not smiling and very formal.
centrally located in walking distance to the centre Namur, free parking in the neighborhood, modern, standard Ibis hotel, excellent wifi, good breakfast for an Ibis, kind personal
no surprises
Basic service. Ok for a couple of nights.
The room lacked a water boiler and did not provide electrical adapters for devices incompatible with the European standard. Very small bathroom. The service was polite but lacked warmth and felt very basic.
I liked the location as well as the 24h reception. Room was more than decent, as well as the rest of the facilities. Early breakfast was also a plus!
I would have liked bacon with my breakfast eggs. Proper ventilation in the shower would have been great as well.
The room was comfortably heated and the breakfast was very good. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
Good location, close to the town centre (less than 10 minutes walk), large bedroom, comfortable beds.We received great advice from a very friendly staff member to find Belgian chocolate, good restaurants and craft beers pubs.
We had a room on the street side and we could hear street noises like cars or people partying, screaming, cheering. We could not book the car park, that was not an issue as there is a public car park opposite the road that offers the same price. There was no kettle in the bedroom, which would have been nice in the cold winter weather.
I did appreciate the staff, I remember I have been once to an other hotel close to yours because the staff treated badly I decided to never ever going back anymore. But yours staff are cool.
I had fever In the middle of night, I went to reception to ask if could have a pain killer, I was overwhelmed the hotel had no paracetamol. Ok, maybe it’s your politics that you don’t won’t to interfere to any health problems with customers , but I am wonders is this how to care of us…
Location was perfect.
The room was too hot. The AC wasn't working
The breakfast and room were very good
The parking charge of 15euro was excessive and the car park was not easy to find
The location, the comfortability..it was clean
Misunderstanding between me and receptionist, the cleaner speaking ? loudly on phone with her phone on loud speaker disturbing everyone in the corridor. The receptionist should be able to gives us valid information when customers called for informations..thanks have a great day.
That ir was value for the correct price. The room was renovated and therefore modern and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly and adressed us in Dutch which is our first language. I really appreciated that. Location was walking distance from the centre.
Location was good, 10 min by foot to the city centre. Underground parking was available for €15 per night which was a bit expensive but no other choice and better than leaving your car outside (Namur is full of criminality). Breakfast had limited options but it was fresh and tasty. The room is extremely basic - the bed is comfortable but if you lean on it just a bit, or sit on it, it moves a good half meter, so it felt unstable. The pillows are soft to the point of feeling like there is no pillow. There is no closet in the room, just an open shelf stand with a few hangers. The TV only had programs in French, or synchronised in French, not one channel in Flemish or let alone English. It's like Vallony is a French region and not Belgian - sad. There is no fridge in the room - a huge and unacceptable minus! The bathroom/toilet was bad - it looked like an airplane toilet cabin, installed in the room. It had absolutely no soundproofing so you felt like a person is in the toilet and in bed at the same time. The walls of the room were so thin that we heard people walking from the other side of the floor. Actually the accomodation is very basic and quite guest unfriendly, and price-wise not in line with its competitors in Flanders. Side note regarding location: my fiancé took a walk around the block at 23h - he got approached twice by people asking or offering drugs, and there were men in groups standing behind corners of buildings, just looking at people passing by (probably scouting?)... Definitely not a safe place to walk around in the evening, especially for a woman. We will not be returning no Ibis nor Namur, even though it's a beautiful city.
Excellent small Ibis hotel located in the heart of the city within walking distance of the station. Breakfast was good and better than wat I experienced in other Ibis hotels. Staff was friendly.
Rooms could use an update.
