Hotel Glinde

Just around 20 minutes away from Hamburg. Newly renovated hotel with clean rooms. Very good value for money especially for short stays.

The parking area of hotel is small. Breakfast options are limited. And there is unfortunately no elevator on the hotel. If you have a luggage, you will have to carry on by yourself to upper floors. Also during my stay, my neighbors were a little bit naughty and crazy as they loudly kept playing with each other.

Clean room, not a far walk from other amenities. Free mineralwasser and complimentary shampoo/body wash in the shower.

At this price point, other rooms I've booked here and abroad featured at least an electric kettle with some instant coffee, teabags and sugar. Hotel Glinde provided a small bottle of mineralwasser which I admit was very nice. However, on the Sunday, I quite naturally had no choice for snacks/food but to try the nearest petrol station, as everything else was closed and the hotel had no offerings on this day. If it had rained the whole day through, hungry visitors wouldn't be happy.

Location is in industrial area but since we only stayed one night it was ok

We received a friendly welcome upon arrival and, upon our enquiry of suitable places for an evening meal, received a suggestion for Restaurant Heimathafen which we would highly recommend, located approximately 1 mile away in the town centre.The hotel's rooms are spread over 3 upper floors, although there isn't a lift. On-site free car parking exists for approximately 12 vehicles, with ample additional space on the surrounding streets - with 11kw EV charging close by - of this light industrial area. The location meant that overnight it was quiet, even with the window open. (Having the window open was the only obvious way of adjusting the temperature as the room was otherwise quite warm). Our room was simply but adequately appointed, although there were not any tea & coffee making facilities. Our double bed was actually 2 single mattresses together, although this did not pose us any problem as it was very comfortable.The shower had great pressure and a good temperature range.Whilst the hotel did not have a separate secure storage area for a bike, the staff were happy for us to keep it in the room (even though it had to be carried up the stairs) - there was plenty of space. The room for breakfast is fairly small and this may cause a problem if all guests arrived for breakfast at the same time. There was a good range of items for the continental breakfast which was tasty.We will be happy to stay here again if travelling in this region.

Very close to public transportation, breakfast had lots of options and our room was comfortable.

There is not much to do directly near the property.

Good value for the money - clean, comfortable and served a good continental breakfast

There was no service room. There was hair in the bathroom. The parking spots were always full.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful as you could choose what you wanted from the selection available. Also you could come and go as you pleased as the room card also opened the main door.

The location was not great for exploring Hamburg as it was well outside the city and based in the middle of an industrial estate. So to get there meant a journey on the metro followed by a bus journey.

Friendly staff at a clean, safe and comfortable location. The breakfast is good and parking is available in a small lot or on the street. One of my favorite spots around Hamburg.

I could enter hotel at around 22 o’clock only by the help of accident,because noone of staff was there.

This seems to be a family run business therefore the people working there care about the level of service they provide. Everyone was super friendly. The rooms are decently sized and they were renovated not too long ago. Best shower water pressure I had in a very long time. The breakfast was small but very good and whenever we needed something they were very fast in replenish things. Considering that hotels in Hamburg are pricey this is a good option and the prices are very reasonable.

The location is a bit in the middle of the nowhere but we knew that in advance. There is not elevator and while that does not affect us it is good for other people to know about this.

The rooms were clean and tidy.

I wish there was an elevator as I was on the third floor
