City Hotel

Convenient location, it was clean, had everything I needed and the staff was helpful. A 24h parking lot is located near buy free of charge. The breakfast is a buffet downstairs and was good.

It was close to the rail station in a quiet place. Many restaurants nearby. Friendly personnel, helpful and kind. The room was clean and there was always available hot water.

the heating in my room was mainly turned off, so it was not that warm.

Minor inconvenience, but no onsite parking, so you’re at the mercy of the city parking hours. But, there is lots available close by.

The hotel is in the city center and very close to the station where you can reach easily. It is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and polite. You can have a nice breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. But it is not included in the price.

This is my third stay here, but the first time I was disturbed by the noise of really fast driving cars at night which I was surprised. This is not the hotel's issue of course. The police must control the city center at nights for these dangerous drivers.

Room was hot and couldn’t find a thermostat to cool it down. Bed was hard and not very comfortable.

The room is clean. The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of choices of bread, cheese, jam, and tea. The hotel is in the city center and very close to the train station, so transportation is very easy.

The view from the room looked to the hotel entrance side where there is an empty area in the front. The garbage truck came to that area to collect garbage at 6.30 AM. It was a bit noisy in the early morning.

Nice spacious room with small kitchen area. Very friendly staff in reception and at breakfast. Breakfast, as ever, was very good. Good central location next to car park with plenty of local restaurants.

Only down side was lack of hot water on last morning but this was down to a technical problem for all of the hotel.

The hotel is in the city center. The bus station is just behind the hotel and the train station is just 2-3 minutes walk away. The markets, shops and restaurants are very close. We stayed in a studio. The room is very clean and large. It has a kitchen with a mini refrigerator and kitchen utensils. There is a table in the kitchen for dining. We cooked during our stay which was very convenient. The bathroom is also big. İt has hand soap, shower gel, hair dryer and very clean towels. There is housekeeping everyday.The beds are comfortable. The quilts and pillow covers are very clean. The heating is on as it is October, so the room is very warm. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. The breakfast is perfect. You can find different types of bread, croissant, butter, different types of marmalade, honey, eggs cooked with different styles, ham, sausages, selamı, tomato, cucumber, pickles, yoghurt (plain and with fruits), various types of tea, coffee, fruit juice and salad, fresh fruits. I recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Geilenkirchen.

The hotel is located very close to the train station and also to the bus station. This is very convenient for travel to adjacent towns in Germany and across the border to the Netherlands too.The breakfast was very good, well presented and the staff were very nice people too.

I cannot think of a single negative.
