    Pros +

    • Food excellent- grounds lovely. Everything else decent
    • The hotel is beautiful, situated close to tonw but in the midst of a nature- it was incredible to wake up to the beautiful trees. The property has varying rooms so depending on what you book it may look different but my room waws beautiful.
    • Location is great in so far it was relatively secluded & quiet & close to be where I had to be & it was great that I rented a bike so I could communicate on the bicycle & not have to use the car even though the rental rate was high. Further the breakfast buffet & opening times are both generous

    Cons -

    • No door in the bathroom
    • I was only there for one night so not the biggest deal, but one of the towels in my room had a stain on it. I didn't want to make a fuss since I was there for only one night.
    • Room & bed were small, I do like to sleep in a bigger bed...& the room isn't well insulated & heating was not on which meant I was cold going to bed.. not good. Also the door to bathroom is solid glass & I walked into it 2 times in 2 days.. I'm sure I won't be the only one this has happened too

Nice rooms, liked the thematized interior. Good beds and shower. High attention for sustainability. Good surroundings to take a walk in the morning or enjoy the sun during the day. Whole day free coffee. Good breakfast.

I had a bit unfortunate room as I was next to the main door of a corridor. Heard it in the morning more often.

    The bed was okay.

When I came back from a day trip to Amsterdam I found my room open. A towel was wrapped around the door handles. Luckily nothing was stolen during the 10ish hours the door was visibly open.Staff apologised verbally. The selection of photos is a bit deceptive. It’s showing some buildings on the complex only. The old and really ugly ones are not shown. Upon entering the Building my room was in I thought it smelled a bit mouldy. The compact rooms are also a waste of money. The shower/toilet combination works but doesn’t feel very nice. The room is uncomfortably small.Last but not least the coffee machine in the lobby of the building I stayed at never worked.

Beautiful rooms in an even more beautiful park. Peaceful fairy-tale environment, great staff and excellent breakfast. You won't want to leave.

    Rooms were good

It all felt somewhat.confused, is it a training campus, conference facility or hotel...Rooms were good but no glasses, water bottle, cups for the coffee, no hooks to hang wet towels, just not very thought through. Breakfast choice was good but quality of food was mediocre at best.

The beds are very comfortabele. Also the surroundings are great, you walk out your room and straight into the forest. The breakfast is very diverse and fresh! With croissants, fruit, sweets, eggs, pancakes, you name it.

The rooms are a little noisy compared to a normal hotel. There is an open toilet.. don't need to explain the inconvenience of that. Also, there was no air conditioning so on sunny days especially in the summer the room can get quite hot. Also the dinner menu is very small, but there are lots of nice places to eat closeby.

Our one-night stay at Landgoed de Horst was pleasant and relaxing. The property is beautifully surrounded by greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere, though we didn’t have much time to explore the surroundings. Parking wa convenient, located close to the rooms, which made unloading easy. The room building also housed the breakfast area, which was great for convenience. A standout feature was the free 24-hour coffee and tea station, along with refreshing drinks infused with ginger and lemon. The design of the space is minimalistic yet interesting, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options in a nicely arranged setting. The hotel is also conveniently located about a 20-minute drive from Utrecht, making it a good option for those visiting the area.

While the overall experience was positive, there were a few minor drawbacks. The shower in the room was quite small, but manageable for one person. Some of the room decor was a bit unusual - one of my colleagues had artwork in their room that felt odd and could potentially affect the mood of some guests. A more neutral decor might improve the experience. Otherwise, the early morning checkout went smoothly, and everything was in order.

Design of room and size of bed.

Speed control in the way to Doorn. ?

The location is great and the main building is very beautiful. Breakfast is good.

Having booked for 1 person, I was given a tiny room with a single bed. The building where the room was resembled more of a boarding school set up than the type of accommodation I expected, certainly not the old world charm you’d expect at a Landgoed.

We loved being able to walk in the beautiful forests on the property. The breakfast was excellent. Wonderful variety to choose from and all very tasty.

    10MarkPosted on: 10-30-2024

The room was spacy, very clean, bed was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. One point of note is the design of the bathroom and its proximity to the bed - in other words you could hear everything going on in the bathroom! But this should not detract from a superb stay and we will be back.

The design/soundproofing of the bathroom from the bedroom - this was not a big issue but worthy of comment.

Nature and modern room with lots of light

    Lack of wellness

Nature.. calm.. privacy.. the view.. the cleanliness of the place.. everything is fine. ???❤

    Area itself, buildings and people.

No separate toilet, meaning some lack of privacy.

Quiet, friendly staff, good restaurant, beautiful property.

There was a musty smell inside the entryway of a building. Possibly because of parked bikes. The rooms were fine though.

We had no expectations, it was welcoming, food was great, would be ideal with friends as a base for touring the region

    Doesn’t apply

Great beds, wonderful service and incredible breakfast...

The shower and toilet together in a cubicle with no way to keep any towels or anything dry. The towels are kept outside of the shower, which makes sense but then there is wet all over the floor to get it, or a moderately damp towel if you bring it into the cubicle. The shower itself was decent, the rain shower adds nothing, and the shower head is a little dingy... good water pressure and nice complimentary soap/shampoo
