Great breakfast, great view and location

The staff entered the room on 2 occasions. They even inspected the tower and didnt say anything and left. On telling this at the reception desk they told us they would internally investigate, without any compensation, sorry or follow-up.

This place is gorgeous! Love the combination of elegance but also quirky decor. The food is beyond fresh (as in just picked out of the garden a few hours earlier) and the staff is uniformly welcoming, friendly and helpful.

There is no air conditioning- but we didn’t need it either. The rooms have lots of windows and the hotel is on the water so lots of nice breeze.

Staff was very helpful. Loved gardens, particularly our "private garden". Restaurant terrace was very attractive.

Room amenities could use updating. But we were comfortable.

Delightful waterfront unit, amazing breakfast, good value meals with fresh food from garden highlight of stay. Fresh produce wonderful. Near national park for kayaking.Parking was included; premium price but for a premium property highlighted by kitchen. This was a memorable stop on our trip - we went to Dordrecht only to visit this property and plan to do so again in the future. A unique experience highly recommend.Waterfront was largely quiet in evening and beautiful. Bed very nice. More spacious than anticipated.

Water unit does not have AC and not screened so dependent on weather. Warned by other reviews about heat we shortened to one day stay and wish we could have stayed longer.Would be nice to have way to secure windows open and screen for insects.

Quiet. The different gardens were nice to walk around and sit. The breakfast buffet was very good

This whole property is very unique.The most special is of course The Lantern Room.But they also have a variety of unique room types scattered across a large garden.And this estate is right next to the river.So the view is always beautiful.The hotel's own restaurant was also very good.

A unique and amazing place to stay. We were in the water tower. Large, comfortable bed. Excellent food in restaurant. Parking on site.

The property is different. We stayed in the water tower. There was not a lot of hanging or drawer space to unpack. Riveted floor uncomfortable under foot. Take slippers!!!Great view from room overlooking restaurant. Fantastic afternoon scones and cake selection.Staff are very friendly. Market garden shop stocked with amazing products. Lovely setting for relaxing. Bus stop just along from hotel to Dordrecht station. Trains accessible from Rotterdam to many cities. Lovely stay.

Perfectly situated for completing the waterliniepad. Very comfortable bedroom on the 6th floor. Nice ambience in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Helpful and welcoming staff.

Lift was due to be serviced between 8-10am so it was a long way down from the 6th floor via the fire escape. Fortunately weather was lovely…

Really interesting historic building. Lots of parking. Great staff. Nice, large room with good style. Great restaurant on site. Bit of a walk from historic centre but possible.

I enjoyed the vibe very much. The old tower, the gardens, and the restaurant make a perfect historic ensemble.

Tea, bath, bed size

Excellent hotel with a character. Lovely staff, rooms that are great to stay in. We stayed in the tower for the third time and as always it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was amazing.

Exceptional location, really pretty. Nice atmosphere, great bed, nice shower and really nicely decorated, as well as the room as the entire place. The building for the breakfast (same location as the restaurant) is really marvelous, the walk through the garden to get there as well. Really impressive. Proper breakfast. Lovely coffee (which you have to order, otherwise it's coffee from a large pot which is not that good). The restaurant btw, where we ate during our stay, is really excellent also. Would certainly go back!

The carpeting in the room; it is clean but it looks smudged which makes it not as nice for the feel of it, walking barefoot and all. But that's it :-)

Nothing to not like

The hotel and garden are just wonderful to experience. The staff were friendly and there is free parking. Breakfast has a good variety (even for vegetarians) and the market+restaurant serve tasty food.

Given the summer temperatures the room was a bit warm, but keeping the shutters closed and the fan were adequate for 2n. Not sure if the same would be true for 30+ degree weather.

Breakfast was very poor with limited selection and expensive Staff were not service orientatedWe had a floating room which was very hot and the only way to ventilate effectively was to leave the doors open which was a safety concern

Amazing room with unique character. Wonderful grounds and restaurant. The whole experience of the Villa is a must experience.
