Pros +
- Welcoming, friendly staff. The view from the balcony of the the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc and the glacier is breathtaking. The breakfast is massive and delicious. The dinner was an outstanding, incredible, once in a lifetime kind of meal made from local ingredients (some grown in the garden). Every single dish was delicious and smart--each one had a little surprise, a little kick, and was phenomenally beautiful. I did not know that it was possible to make a "quenelle" out of cheese. Every member of the wait staff went above and beyond. We loved the sommelier.
- The staff were very friendly and informative. They spoke perfect english and gave us many suggestions. They did try their best to make things right when we arrived. The views from the room were outstanding.
- Beautiful room and view.
Cons -
- It's a little bit out of the center of town and on a steep hill. We could not get an Uber back from town after eating a large pot of fondue, so that was a walk to remember. Plan accordingly.
- Outside not well taken care of. Weeds overgrown in garden by room, sauna not working, mold on shower tiles
- We arrived late in the afternoon and the room smelled like an open septic tank. Evidently they had just "cleaned the pipes", which is another way to say that the kitchen had clogged the drains and they needed to use the septic clean out to unplug it. They knew of this issue but neglected to air out our room before arrival. The first night was awful as it stunk badly. We were also directly below the kitchen in the restaurant which was busy until midnight. Every footstep and dropped fork can be heard very clearly. Then it started up again at 6 AM. Needless to say, we did not sleep for two days. The coffee machine was very finicky and we needed someone to show us how to unclog it. They did give us two mealy apples as a way of saying sorry for the problems. In retrospect we realized that this hotel is really a restaurant with some rooms above and below. The restaurant is their focus first and foremost.

Beautiful room and view.
No AC and no light blankets for the warmer nights.
Super friendly and helpful staff. AMAZING views, superb breakfast!
Nothing!! It was all amazing!
Excellent in every way: staff, food, mountain view. Special call out to the staff. Personally interested in us and our comfort, and ready to make every effort to be of service.
Minor. But it sits about the city, and is a bit of a steep but manageable climb up reach.
We loved our stay at Auberge du Bois Prin! The location is peaceful and just a short walk from the center of Chamonix—though the walk back is up a steep hill. That said, it’s worth it for the incredible views of Mont Blanc. The room was cozy, spotless, and well-equipped, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. The quiet surroundings made it feel like a true escape. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again for the comfort, views, and charm.
The walk from the town is short but steep uphill.
Room, view, staff, hot tub, restuarant
Great boutique hotel and staff, large rooms
Wi-Fi better in lobby than in rooms,
The rooms were very comfortable. The dining room was spectacular. The location was perfect and it had the best view of Mont Blanc in Chamonix!
Lovely hotelGreat location Exceptional staff
Rooms a little too hot at night
Mountains view from room. Free parking. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Cool sauna and hot tub but could be busy.
Old fashioned TV. Shower could be bigger. Entry to hotel is difficult and risky (because of glass door) if your hands are busy with luggage or skis.
An amazing hotel, the lady at reception was so so lovely (sorry we did not catch her name). The views were incredible and in a handy location for exploring (up a very steep hill but only 10 minutes away from the main town).
Great staff, quite location, delicious food
Everything about this facility was incredible. Super close to ski fields, catering staff, luxurious rooms. Yoy really felt you were in a special retreat. Mont blanc felt right at your finger tips!I also received a massage and it was 10/10
It was disappointing our safe didn't work and we had no TV the first night but the TV was fixed very quickly.
The view was incredible and the staff were so helpful and accommodating! The food (we had breakfast one day and dinner one night) were so impressive, I would go back just for this!!
The internet didn't work the last 2 days, which meant I couldn't work as I had planned.
Beautiful chalet style hotel, with amazing staff. Conveniently located for some of the slopes of Chamonix.
Quite a climb up to the hotel from the town centre - cabs often refused to come up to the property.
We stayed at the property for one week over Christmas in a suite. It was what you would want over that period - very warm and cozy with stunning views of Mont Blanc. The outdoor soaking tub and sauna offered majestic views if the snow covered trees and Alps. Given its a small property, we usually had the spa facilities to ourselves. The restaurant is proper fine dining with a great chef leading the kitchen. Very short walk to Brevant ski area of Chamonix (which is the largest and only connected ski area in Chamonix - Brevant/Flegere). The staff were incredible - very attentive, polite and resourceful. The housekeeping staff would even walk our small dog while we left for a few hours to ski.
The location is great in that it offers great views in a more secluded, peaceful hillside location. Its a short walk to the city center - if the weather permits. We had a near record snowfall for 48 hours leading up to Christmas eve. Bizarrely, the public snow removal in Chamonix is horrendous and they do not salt the streets. The roads froze over, which prevented cars, ubers, etc to get up the short but two steep hills. They would have to leave you at the bottom and were forced to walk up - often slipping/falling on the steep, icy surface. We are very athletic and in good physical shape but can imagine this would be awful for elders, children or those with disabilities. With that being said, we were also slipping (in proper snow boots) in Chamonix centre so it was throughout the city. This may have been a very rare occurrence given the significant amount of snow over a very short time period.
The view over Mount Blanc range was just breathtaking from the superior room and the dining room. The superior king bed room was very comfortable a generous size, great bed and pillows. The breakfast was delicious, especially the detox juice and the bread and croissants. Just a short 10 min walk down the hill to the town below. We also loved the hot tub outside looking up towards Mount Blanc. The staff were always friendly, smiling and willing to help with any questions.
There was nothing that we didn't like staying here.
Views, location, comfort, amnesties, outdoor thermal bath and sauna. The staff were also fantastic and extremely helpful.
