La Chaumière Mountain Lodge

Excellent food offered at both meals. The dinner was especially good. I would return just based on the meal.

Arriving from another country it would be helpful if a tiny insert map describing your location in regards to train and bus locations. Also if taxis or car services could be called while a guest when it isn’t convenient to walk; my walk to the bus transfer was 35 minutes and it was raining; so I hitched a ride!

The charming antique quality and the magnificent view of Mont-Blanc and Aguile Du Midi. Very close to the train stop and bus service. Also an easy walk into downtown Chamonix. Good information from the staff about what to see and how to use the abundant transit.

The only thing I didn’t like was no free coffee.

Breakfast had a wonderful selection. The location was walking distance to town, restaurants, train and hiking trails. The front desk receptionist was extremely helpful in answering questions we had regarding the area.

Noisy street (windows so thin every car and train was disturbing during the night), mediocre breakfast, WiFi pretty much non-usable.

Lovely accommodation, good food, good location and staff were incredibly helpful. And all very good value for money.

A kettle in the room would be nice, to make a hot drink after skiing.

This hotel is a little way out of town, a walk of about five minutes from the bus station. There is not only a bus stop but a tiny train station almost right outside the hotel door. The room was quite small and there was neither television nor kettle. I did miss the kettle, but I had no need for the television. I signed up for dinner, and the meals were very enjoyable. What was particularly good was the friendliness of the staff. It is only a small place and so I got to know them very quickly. If I returned to Chamonix I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

The staff were lovely, the view from my room and the garden was so beautiful. The room was basic but had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable.

It’s about a 15 minute walk from the town but this didn’t bother me too much as I wasn’t in a rush

Very well managed hotel with responsive and flexible personnel. Nice bar and garden. Short walk to cable car to Aiguille du Midi and to city centre. Great breakfast.
