About
This chalet sits below the famous ski area of the Grands Montets and at the starting point for a range of hiking trails. Its spacious rooms (some with mezzanines for families) have a view of Mont-Blanc or the Glacier of Argentière. The chalet-style rooms and suites offer bright and cozy living spaces. They all have a balcony, individual heating, TV and private bathrooms with bath and shower. Les Grands Montets Hotel & Spa provides plenty of after-ski facilities including an indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot-tub, sauna, fitness room and steam room. Massages are also available upon request. In winter warm up in the bar with a drink next to the fireplace, or play a game of billiards. In summer, guests can enjoy the large terrace with sunbeds facing Mont Blanc. Wi-Fi internet access is available in the public areas of Les Grands Montets Hotel & Spa and free parking is available on site. Throughout the year, ski lockers, shoe-dryers and multi-passes are available at the hotel.

Can I answer EVERYTHING?!The hotel is perfect, super well decorated, feels like a cabin.Location, perfect! Really close to the slopes! The facilities is really nice and the best staff.Impossible not to comment, the breakfast… still missing that breakfast…Definitely we’ll be back ❤️
Wonderful, luxurious hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed an extra night!
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night during our TMB. I think this was our best hotel stay of the trip. The room was a good size and came with a balcony. The beds were comfortable and the toiletries provided were high quality. The hotel had a nice spa and a green space in the back, which was great to hang out in after a long day of hiking. We had an early start the next day and hence didnt have breakfast.
The facility is 10-15 min walk from the main street but completely doable.
Excellent staff, rooms and spa
The spa area was very clean. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.
The staff were very nice. The staff allowed us for a late check out which was greatly appreciated . The outdoor jacuzzi with the mountain backdrop was gorgeous
There’s no restaurant on the property but there are some within a 10 min walk
The spa was spot on after a long day walk from the TMB. The rooms were clean with a great view and the "snacks" at the bar were enough as a nice dinner so that we wouldn't have to leave the hotel and rest.
Amazing service from friendly staff at all times (check in, use of sauna in the morning, check out, luggage storage). One of them helped with luggage up to our rooms seeing as we were knackered from hiking on check in, even though he didn't have to.Pool, sauna and steam room were clean and very relaxing. Great view from the room as well. Cozy bar and lounge space with sofas and a view. Our room had all the amenities you would expect in perfect condition (mini fridge, kettle, clean bath robe & towels, TV with English channels, etc).
As it was summer the hotel is not as well located - 8 min walk from bus or train stations, including through a trailer park that was a bit hot. If arriving from the airport with luggage, I suggest booking a transfer that drops you off directly at the hotel.Would be great if there was a small convenience shop within the hotel or nearby for essentials or food so we wouldn't have to leave the premises. However I note the bar does at least serve some snacks and frozen pizza/ready-made pasta so there was at least an option.
A charming, upscale, rustic hotel with a beautiful spa area. Such a glorious sight after 9 days of hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc. Clean, well appointed, and a friendly staff.
Very nice building and views could be better if there wasn't a crane right in front of the building and damaging the views. This should be informed
As the other guest already stated , we are part of the genius programme and an " upgrade to a superior room and Mont Blanc views would be a nice touch if :The views are blocked by a crane The condition of the room was unacceptable for a hotel of that category :* Stains and dirtiness all over the carpet. It is literally discussing. I couldn't even walk barefoot on the room. Stains all over.* There were moulds and dampness in the wall and wood frame near the bed* There were a pair of coat hangers by the same wall. One of the hangers was there but the other one was gone.. And it was left behind 1 hole in the wall and a SCREW hanging loose.* Curtains were smelly and dirty.Upon departure, I communicated the situation to the receptionist, which was in disbelief. I told her to check herself. I assume that the manager will read this review, and I invite her/him to check room 302 or 312 ( I don't quite remember the correct number ) and witness the embarrassing state of that room.I say again that I got an invitation to an upgrade by being a Genius member, but I didn't ask for it.I don't want to believe that this is a bait to book this room, but seeing a similar review from other genius guests , I fear the trap is there.UNACCEPTABLE
My daughter and I came for four days for a late ski trip. The hotel was extremely comfortable, fabulous location and very well appointed. The spa was perfect and there is a nice deck to somebody on as the weather was beautiful. Maybe some extra comfy seats would be nice ?
Beautiful, rustic, convenient for slopes and fabulous spa!
Beautiful hotel! Clean and comfortable rooms and beds. The spa was excellent with everything you would need! The hotel staff were wonderful - really friendly and extremely helpful!
My stay at The Les Grands Montets was exceptional. The hotel is decor is in a quintessential Alpine style, which made it feel super warm and cozy. The view from my room was incredible! It felt more like I was coming home, instead of staying in a hotel! I was always warmly greeted by reception, and all of the staff I interacted with were extremely welcoming and kind. They were ready to help with any questions I had regarding buses to trains to walks and restaurants. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as perfect as could be. Highly recommend a stay here!
The mattress was too firm but mostly worked it out with an extra duvet. The hot tub gets crowded and it's very small, so get in there before people return from skiing! Wifi does not work very well when everyone is in their rooms at night. Adding ports to the rooms would be helpful.
Ideal charming rustic hotel chalet like with great location and lovely staff, very good breakfast and lovely indoor heat
Rooms, ambiente, staff
Ski-boots dryer only works during the night. So boots stay wet for a long time
Loved the spa area and bar lounge and dining area
