Pros +
- Great hotel and great view
- Location
- Nice hotel, friendly staff, standard room was bigger than other standard rooms in other hotels. Good for skying, you have many facilities such as locker rooms, ski rentals etc. Close to the city center.
Cons -
- Parking at the hotel was not available.
- A bit far from the slopes although you had free bus connections. Not the hotel fault as the location was clearly advertised.
- We were disappointed by the service we received from the staff and the spa. There was a noisy radiator in our room, which we called and asked them to check out one of the first nights of our stay. They said they would send someone and never did. The following night, we called again. Again, they said they would send someone and didn't. Only when we called a third time and were more insistent with the staff, did they finally send someone to address the issue. When the staff member came, they said that they already knew about the issue but thought they had fixed it before and said there was nothing they could do but turn the radiator off (which slightly reduced the sound). They offered to change the room as well, but as it was almost midnight, and that would have meant moving all of our stuff, so we opted not to. Additionally, they don't offer room service, which we found odd for a hotel of this calibre. The spa is also underwhelming. Both of the jacuzzis are only lukewarm at best, not hot at all. The pool is too cold to swim in. The sauna is quite small and more like a steam room. The hammam room was good.

The hotel is centrally located, newly renovated with beautiful Scandinavian design, and has a great breakfast with a wide selection of food (from meat/eggs to yogurt, pastries, etc.).

Great location. Easy walking distance to the centre of town and restaurants.
The hotel is spread over 2 separate buildings. Sadly the room we were given wasn't facing Mt.Blanc but was facing a separate mountain and other buildings.
The hotel is fine, but I would have chosen a different one
It's far from the lift, some members of the staff are very rude and underprepared, the spa facilities were not what I expected from their description
Spa area and breakfast were great, the staff was friendly and the hotel as such is beautiful and in good shape.
Walls are very very thin so the noise level from inside the hotel is high.
Location
Rooms were noisy, ground floor with less privacy from outsider walkers especially has no light curtains, just the blackout curtains , not feeling secured at night, sometimes doubts whether the nocks I hear it from upper floor or from the veranda.
The room was beautiful, the location was excellent & quiet.
I wish there was a fridge in the room & I wish I knew that the parking was an extra $30 a day before I booked it. I chose this hotel because parking was an option.
The hotel is excellent overall. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The hotel is quiet and very well located, close to the train station and attractions. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.I spent my vacation with my family and children, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The view was more than wonderful, and it was a very pleasant stay overall.
The hotel is very well located. The room and the hotel were clean. They have water fountains on every floor and a good ski room. The bed was comfy.
I booked in December 2024 for a stay in December 2025 for a special occasion and, at the time of booking, specifically requested a room with a view of Mont Blanc, as well as one away from the lift and main entrance. While the latter requests were respected, although we were placed on the “Mont Blanc” side of the hotel, there was no actual view unless you leaned out over the balcony. The room itself was pleasant but quite dark (we never got the sun), and it overlooked the train tracks, which was not what we had expected at all. We asked to change rooms, but this could not be accommodated. Given the price and the fact that we had planned this stay so far in advance with very modest requests, I was disappointed with the overall experience.
Kids friendly Clean Great location
The location is wonderful with easy access and parking, near also from Mer de Glace train station, the facilities are wonderful with steam spa, friendly and cooperative staff.
The Lykke was a short on block walk to the center of town and a short stroll to the Mt Blanc Gondola and CogWheel Train to the glacier. The staff was terrific, the room was large and designed for a skiers holiday. My wife and I loved it.
The parking in the hotel is limited and expensive.
I really liked the mountains, but I don't quite understand how you can sell a hotel with a spa included and only when you check in say that the spa doesn't work, we'll refund 20%. Let's be honest, I would take another hotel, I was interested in a spa after climbing the mountain. And I think everyone was nice, but I didn't get what I was going to this hotel for.
Excellent family room with great foliage view in the patio; great location to restaurants, train station and lifts; above our expectations for 4-star hotel
Clean facility friendly staff and delicious breakfast.
Considerable waiting time for check in.
We have previously stayed here when it was a Mercure property. We appreciate the location- so convenient to the rail station, Chamonix and its attractions. We tend to be apprehensive when there is new ownership and were pleasantly surprised Lykke offers many improvements. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the new rooms across the street adjacent to the spa. Our room was spacious with lots of storage and a large private balcony. The decor is natural finishes and colors found in nature, most relaxing. The spa is new, beautiful and offers many services. The restaurant was good with an excellent variety, however even in the shoulder season reservations are a must (it was completely filled and they had to turn away people.) But not to worry- it is within walking distance of Elevation 1904- not fancy but the absolutely best bacon cheeseburger at a reasonable price!
No negatives
A fantastic stay! The spa was relaxing and beautifully maintained, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing with plenty of delicious options. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience truly enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!
Nothing. Everything was above expectations.
Easy access to bus and trains. Very close to Chamonix city center. The place had a rustic feel to it and we appreciated the view from the balcony. Staff was also great.
