    • The Perfect Base Camp for UTMB and a Chamonix StayAfter an extensive search for the right place to stay for my UTMB race, I chose the Aiguille du Midi hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We got in late without having eaten, and the staff kindly prepared a simple but delicious plate of ham, cheese, and vegetables for us—a gesture we truly appreciated. The highlight was waking up on our first morning, drawing the curtains, and being greeted by a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Mont Blanc massif. We booked a superior room, and it was worth it for the extra space and that unforgettable vista. The breakfast buffet is incredible value and a must-have. For nearly the same price as a coffee and pastry in town, you get a vast spread including coffee, cereals, yogurt, fresh crepes, juices, bread, cheeses, eggs, and cold cuts. We started every day fully fueled. The hotel grounds are fantastic, featuring a large swimming pool, a tennis court, and plenty of green space to relax or wander. It’s a great environment for both families and pets.Location-wise, it's very convenient. The hotel is just 120-150from two bus stops and 150m from the Les Bossons train station. A major perk is the free train pass to Chamonix provided by the hotel, though the scenic 3km walk into town is also a great option for exercise.Although we didn't eat lunch/dinner at the hotel, it's great to know they're available. Note that while there's no water in the room, complimentary water is provided in the restaurant downstairs. Also laundry services are available for about 10euros (washing and drying) but I saw I sign in the laundry room that reads 8euros. Maybe they increased the price?I wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend the Aiguille du Midi to anyone visiting the area. * During the UTMB event every hotel tend to be more expensive. Make sure you book in advance.
    • The hotel staff was amazingly friendly. The room and balcony was great with a great view of Mont Blanc. We also enjoyed dinner service, drinks and the pool.
    • Great scenic location, friendly staff, features for kids (pool, tennis / basketball court/ ping pong / billiards) excellent restaurant !

    Cons -

    • It was all great
    • Breakfast options were too limited. Can include more items and hot breakfast.
    • Paper cups in the room. Would be nice to have a proper glasses. It is the only things that can be improved :)

Family run hotel. Extremely helpful staff. The food is fantastic. The views is at Auguille de Midi and the glacier. The train station and bus stop is only 2 minutes walk. Easy to get around without using a car. Strongly recommend.

Paper cups in the room. Would be nice to have a proper glasses. It is the only things that can be improved :)

What a beautiful hotel, grounds and views! Run by the same family for a number of generations. The staff and the family are lovely. The food delicious! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location was perfect. A (free) train ride to Chamonix using the pass we got from the hotel. Breakfast was great for the price. We had an amazing view from the top floor. We loved the pool, the tennis court and the table tennis. The pool was always quiet after breakfast so we had an early breakfast, a swim then spent the day out and about. The staff were excellent- going the extra mile every day.

    Everything was great.

The hotel is located in a peaceful town near Chamonix, just by the train station, which is free. The views from the hotel are spectacular and majestic. The staff was amazing and helped us with many questions, and gave us extra amenities for free! The spa is nice and is prebooked so it's private although small. The hotel itself is cosy and the rooms are comfortable with a renovated bathroom. The restaurant was great and had a relatively cheap menu dinner which was delicious.Pool was great fun.

Very attentive and friendly staff.Excellent service.Good food, comfortable rooms.

Lack of air conditioning in summer.

    9ChristinaPosted on: 4-30-2024

The staff has been very friendly and helpful. We have been upgraded to a family connecting rooms without asking which was great as we had a lot of space and two bathrooms. We loved our balcony, nice views having a drink. Easy parking, close to ski slopes and Chamonix village.

We missed a small fridge to keep mainly milk and generally a kitchenette as we have kids and we can't make it to the breakfast. Or sometimes the kids want a snack or some fruits...

We love the Hotel Aiguille du Midi, the family who runs this quaint and authentically French ski hotel welcome every guest into their family atmosphere. When one stays at the Hotel Aiguille du Midi they can imagine Chamonix fifty years ago, such a cool experience. The restaurant had a wonderful breakfast spread every morning. The dinners were fantastic with the family staffing the floor and making sure every aspect was excellent for their guests, including gluten free preparations. If you want to stay at a hotel that you will feel like a member of an extended family when you leave this is the one for you.

The accommodation is great. Convenient of the motorway with allocated parking spaces. The room was fabulous in terms of size, comfort of the mattress, view, etc.

Perfect location, good food, friendly staff, beautiful views,

    8FrancescaPosted on: 1-5-2024

Convenient location, away from the more touristy areas but 5 minutes from downtown and the area's most beautiful ski slopes. Whenever we took advantage of the bar we were always served complimentary complementary desserts. There are pool tables downstairs!

The spa is not a real spa but rather a room in the basement with jacuzzi and sauna.

Great location stunning views. Helpful staff
