    • My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location is excellent and close to many attractions and services. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely stay here again.
    • Staff were so incredibly helpful and friendly, room was comfortable, hallways a little narrow and the Hamman should have the scrubs, etc. but I had the best massage! The Albert 1er was the best dinner I had in all of France. I really enjoyed my stay there.
    • Wonderful staff and location was great! Room was very cozy and once we closed the shutters it was like sleeping in a cocoon

    Cons -

    • Nothing much.
    • Slight smell from the bathroom /plumbing.

Family run feel, welcoming, beautiful setting, homely and cosy, love the vegetable patch and gardens as well as wooden cabins.

Slight smell from the bathroom /plumbing.

Great room, restaurant and spa facilities.

Difficult acces to the ski lifts, there are only 2 shuttles for the hotel and this can cause long waiting time to depart.

    9VictoriaPosted on: 3-6-2025

The room has lovely views of the mountain. The mini bus transfers from the hotel to the gondolas were a great bonus as well as the ability to purchase a ski pass at the hotel and have boots and skis delivered and collected at the end by the ski hire shop next door.

Their service makes you feel that your outside of Europe! Super helpful and friendly. Staff had helped me with Chamonix and even Megeve reservations

    9JormePosted on: 2-11-2025

It was very nice and super convenient, the car service to the skii lifts back and forth was the best and the hotel arrangements to pick up the skii equipment from the skii rental was amazing everything was taken care of.

Well, our room 212 had bathroom leaks, water from the shower was leaking from outside the shower and we were concerned about falling and there was a leak coming from the sink faucet, those leaks were not fixed so we lived 5 days like that, the hotel didn’t offer to change to another room, it is 5 stars hotel and no other accommodation was offered.

Staff were truly fantastic, super helpful and friendly. The free transfer to the different lifts was amazing, and the lockers for checkout downstairs are super useful.

The options at the breakfast buffet could be slightly improved, and the sheets didn’t smell super fresh but relatively minor points.

Property was amazing. Great location & a wonderful small campus of beautiful old buildings & cabins.

Good location with nice spa facilities The room was nicely decorated & had a warm & authentic atmosphere.

Staff were rude and not helpful. They failed to mention that breakfast was not included. & were unapologetic when we were shocked to have found hat we were charged daily for breakfast as we had thought it was included in the prepaid price. Furthermore, on arrival, they did not offer to help us with our bags and parking (as expected of a 5-star hotel). We unloaded our bags ourselves, made our way to the reception only to find that our rooms on in another building. Terrible experience

It was a dream come true but turned into a very bad experience because of mismanagement of lost&found

I have in stayed Le Hameau Albert 1er Hotel for a beautiful experience at Mont Blanc in Chamonix. The hotel, the staff, everything was perfect the day we arrived.Unfortunately, the first the i Went to be hiking on the mountains, i fell and terrible injured both of my feet. We have not left, we decided to stay for the 2 nights booked, even though I was in and out of the hospital. Until our check out, the staff went the extra mile to take care of me and my husband, from breakfast to the room to be firing up the fire place and bringing wine to our room before we sleep - everything and everyone was mindblowingly beautiful and caring. Why did it turned into a bad experience? The day I left I forgot a Prada box (with medicine) as well as a very valuable diamond gold ring on it in the bathroom when I washed my hand. Only after very little hours after we left, I called and send them emails. Reception said they would check but didn’t return positive feedback. At first I only mentioned the diamond ring, only later I mentioned the Prada box as I realized I have also left it there. Believe it or Not, when I mentioned the box, they said (original Message via email: “the chambermaids confirm that they have Seen the box but threw it away because they thought it wasnt important or what was inside would have been recognized to be important enough to perhaps contact the Client or at least the manager. Does not all hotels in Europe, particularly 5 star luxury hotels have “lost&found” policies? Where does it begin and where does it end, when the chambermaids can just decide, whether a forgotten item is important enough to report or to throw away. What really triggers me to be even more disappointed, frustrated even - after back and forth with the hotel manager, I just got a rude email from their insurance agent saying it wouldn’t be their fault. After that and even after my response to this email (which I attach below), I have never heard a thing.

Perfect location looking directly at Mont Blanc and the massive. Easy walk into town. Exceptional on site dinning

    9LisaPosted on: 9-16-2024

Lovely room, great location. Gastronomic resturant was first class

Building work going on which meant the spa treatments were moved and provided in the gym and there was drilling which meant that the spa wasn’t very relaxing. We were warned in advance and it can’t be helped. I am sure the spa is fabulous when the building works are complete

Style, comfort, service, location. Shuttle to gondola, great bikes

Low pressure shower. Temporary fitness area

    8LaurenPosted on: 9-5-2024

Location was great, the staff were very helpful and the facilities were good.

    Rooms were a bit dated

    10VanessaPosted on: 9-5-2024

Excellent location and close proximity to centre of town, yet nice and quiet. Great views of Aiguille du Midi, beautiful grounds. Staff were extremely attentive, polite and friendly. Wonderful spa facilities. Air con in the room was an added bonus as this is hard to find in Chamonix, from our previous experience!

Poor insulation to the sewage stack in our cupboard so we could hear each time the room upstairs flushed their loo.
