Very nice Hotel, friendly staff, dinner and breakfast with great quality

The staff was wonderful. They were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The reception clerk helped us resolve an issue with our room. The kitchen staff helped us find fod to accomodate food allergies.

No complaints really. We had a wonderful stay at Waldhaus Jakob.

Great location near the thermal baths

We were not informed that the kitchen closes at 8pm and when we arrived at the dinning area at 8:15pm, we were told they were closed and that we could go to the local McDonald’s for dinner. After informing the waitress that we had not been told about dinner hours, we were able to place a quick order or soup and salad. But it was obvious that they wanted us to eat quickly so they could go home for the evening. I have never experienced this in any hotel in any other city.

The location was amazing and beautiful. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed exploring the lake side.

Very small bathroom space where you can't get your head over the sink. Limited parking opportunities if you don't reserve.

Great location for nature lovers insude a large park overlooking the lake.I stayed 3 nights in a front room with a wood view and one winderful day in an back room overlooking tge lake. Bith rooms are soacious and comfortabke.The restaurant is great and affirdabke.Servuce depends of who is in tge reception.every day there was a dufferent team.Sime are friendly and sime are nit. Nit all of tgem soeak English. That is the onky flaw of this very soecial hitel.Receotion ooen between 7am and 22:30, and tge restaurant ckoses at 11lm.I would recommend the hotel to add a ciffee and bevarage machins fir early rusers and night bird's.

After soending most of my stay within tge large oermises of the hitel, and eating mist if my meals in the restaurant, i accumulated a debt if about 70 eu in the restaurant which I could only oay on my third day ofdtsy.After I had ckered out my debt I was shocked to discover that I am no longer allowed to put thecrestsuraant's bills on the room and was requested to pay fir each beverage ir coffee immediately. That left ne with a bitter taste...

Perfect location in quiet wooded area perfect for me and my dog.

Very elegant hotel. Room was in an historic building. Staff was very helpful about gett to old town.

Hotel was a long bus ride from town center.

The room is comfy and up to date. The hotel is in the middle of the nature, perfect. The restaurant is very good too

The directions to our room in the other building weren’t very clear. Was not happy at copping at 19% service charge at the hotel restaurant.

Front desk wasn't very helpful; location wasn't great; no view of lake from our rooms and nothing was walkable.

Location was beautiful. Comfortable connection from main train station just one change, you have to consider that Germanpublic transportation is on time clean and comfortable.

Comfortable bed. Terrace. Location close to the lake.

Bathroom is a matt-glassed-in cubicle, not very private. The flooring is made of wall-to-wall woven PVC matting. After checking in for 2 nights, we found out that the WC cubicle reaked of urine. After my complaint that same night, the bathroom was cleaned next morning. But it soon enough smelled again. Very unpleasant, to say the least. I had very carefully chosen and booked this hotel - for a long-planned reunion with an old friend from abroad. I was very annoyed and ashamed about the smell. And when I think back of the whole trip, this unpleasant episode is now stuck in my memory.I suggested to staff that we would get breakfast for free as some gesture. They agreed. But we were not offered any reduction in room price. I will not return.

Beautiful scenery, peaceful area. Felt very safe and relaxed there. They left a complimentary pair of ear plugs and a sparkling mineral water which was lovely!

It does take a while to get there from the train station (near 40 minutes) and the nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk away at the bottom of a slight incline. Otherwise, it's not bad.

The family liked this place a lot. The bus stops is close, the location is great, the food was good! We would have stayed longer if we had the time.

The room in the modern block was amazing, with a view looking over the lake. The room is well laid out, with big windows with a good sized balcony. The open eating space was beautiful amongst the trees, and it's so close to the thermal spa.

Parking was a big issue when we arrived, which didn't start the stay well. Do make sure you check if you are driving.
