Great Southern Killarney

Everything, this is a great hotel. Location is fabulous, I stayed in teh Jackie kennedy Suite. The food was awesome. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Location was excellent

Windows are drafty in the rooms if the weather is bad.Selection of draught beer is the bar is not great with only 2 beers available.

Huge hotel room & en suite. Lovely atmosphere, beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Dinner service fine but didn't quite reach expectations. Food was average. Breakfast however fantastic. Would have been nice to have a bath but shower had fantastic water pressure.

Stunning decor, staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the food was so delicious!

Nothing maybe that the lift was broken whilst we stayed there but that’s only a small issue.

The hotel looked beautiful for Christmas and the staff were so friendly. Location and parking were excellent

Ours was a pre- Christmas stay. After breakfast there was a lovely Christmas atmosphere in reception with a piano player playing and everyone joing in the carol singing!Loved the open fire.... and cosy bar too!

Loved the hotel - historic but modern. One of the best breakfasts I had in Ireland.Stunning Christmas decoration.

Check in was a bit crowded as many people arrived at the same time and waited in line. No acknowledgment of my Bday which was actually the day we checked in. But no problem.

Hotel was really nice, room recently renovated and very comfortable.

Only flaw was had to walk through a wedding reception to get to the leisure Centre, there should be an alternative route.

Bathroom wasn’t as advertised.. and cold ..

Location, Irish breakfast and historical character. Aldo, walking distance from the train station.

Hot rooms. Inept staff - at check-in, our reservation was given to another party; restaurant orders were messed up, and, requests to lower the temperature of the room were disregarded, At one point we were advised to turn on the small fan as there are not temperature controls in the room.

Welcoming staff and a cozy and elegant hotel, the room was amazing and the breakfast was delicious!

The fact we could not check into our room until 5pm!!! Absolutely ridiculous we had to cancel our dinner reservations over it as we wouldn’t have been ready in time and they had no other times available.

We had the most incredible stay at the Great Southern Killarney. The staff went above and beyond at every turn — the service was truly exceptional. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever experienced. Antique teapots with GSH were a real authentic highlight. The team in Brownes Bar really made our trip feel special with fantastic cocktails. Concierge Sean was especially helpful and added so much to our stay. The hotel itself is the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. It has beautiful old‑world charm, luxurious bathrooms, and thoughtful touches throughout. We loved the late 12pm checkout, and the pool and steam room were perfect for unwinding.We were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary, and the Great Southern made it unforgettable. We can’t wait to return.

Some construction work taking place at the hotel was a bit loud at times. The fish and chip haddock lunch portion was extremely small we were disappointed.
