Free parking lot on site. The room was large and comfortable. We only stayed one night to see Mont Saint Michel (about 25 minutes away), but it was an easy and comfortable stay.

What a gorgeous hotel! Our beautiful room overlooked the French gardens. We had a picnic in the gazebo amongst the flowers. Each night we had delicious meal at different restaurants recommended by the staff. The morning breakfast was served in a glass sunroom. A dreamy stay!!

Beautiful boutique hotel with lovely decor and excellent beds . Host Natalie spoiled us with her attention to detail . Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner Just a lovely property and with well manicured grounds

Breakfast Location

Supper was dreadful. Very poor food and no veggie options at all . When I said I was vegan I was just expected to eat fish. My husband who does eat meat said it was inedible.

Perfect location for exploring Normandy … close to all of the sites we wanted to visit. We were warmly greeted by the owner on our arrival, who personally showed us around and made sure we were comfortable. We decided to eat dinner here and were treated to an excellent gastronomic meal. My only regret was having to leave the next day. The breakfast buffet was especially good – lots of home made dishes and good coffee. Our rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean and well-decorated. A real find!

There was no fridge in the room. There was no elevator to the first floor and the spiral stairs are a bit difficult for the 75+ year olds

A very upscale and professional place. The grounds were beautiful, breakfast and dinner were superb. An incredible experience. Very close to Mount St. Michel. Lots of parking!

For the price I think the continental breakfast should be included in the price of the stay.

This 4* hotel has rooms in two separate buildings. Ours was located across the lovely garden, with parking outside the door. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold buffet. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The garden was stunning with lots of different places to sit comfortably and sculptures to admire. The location was easy to find and perfect as we crossed Normandy to return home. Avranches is a very interesting town to explore but not easily accessible on foot from the hotel.

The small cups for making a hot drink were cracked and only 2 tea bags (no coffee) were provided.

It is a real treasure box! Amazing place, feels like home, super nice staff, beautiful garden, very comfortable room, delicious breakfast. I would highly recommend and would also love to get back.

An attractive hotel in lovely grounds, we received an excellent reception and service throughout our stay. Breakfast options are good and the optional dinner is a treat. We used this as a mid base for Normandy and it proved a good choice with easy route connections to all places.

Beautiful environment inside and out including gardens and unique rooms, welcoming friendly staff, really peaceful. Excellent parking, wi-fi 100% reliable for work meetings, comfortable and practical working environment.

The team at the hotel are so friendly and very helpful.The hotel is delightful with beautiful grounds and gardens. Very comfortable rooms and beds, excellent all round for amenties.

Breakfast was good quality but not much choice.

The location was great! The team on site were really lovely! The room was standard with minimal basic decor. Was hoping for a more premium experience based on the photos but maybe it was the room level we booked.

The breakfast wasn’t included although when you check in they ask what time you’d like your breakfast. I think when asking - maybe mention it’s not included as part of the room. The rate is 16 Euros which felt high for the breakfast provided.

The host & hostess was lovely. The house was clean and room was spacious and quaint. We spent a couple of days in Normandy and used this as an overnight stay before visiting Mont St. Michel in the morning. We went to dinner at a restaurant recommended by the hostess and were pleasantly surprised by how charming the town of Avranches was. We would love to come back to explore Normandy and will definitely keep Rate La Ramada in mind for future stays.
