Diverse and delicious food for breakfast and dinner, big nice room

no bathroom sets

Dinner was great with lots of variety.

Breakfast was similar every day but it was good.

The hospitality and kindness of the hotel staff was above average, the view and location are perfect.

The only thing I need to mention is that in the old wing of the hotel, the walls are not soundproof at all. We could hear our neighbors talking as if we were in the same room.

The hotel is new, the rooms are really clean. We love the food and the staff was super friendly. The indoor pool is amazing and you are literally front row to the sea. They gave us a room with a sea view even though we booked a cheaper one with a city view (thank you for that).

Unfortunately, the hotel does not have parking near the accommodation, only city parking is available which costs 34 euros for 17 hours... Almost more expensive than the accommodation. In the rooms there is some kind of detector that blinks green right above the bed which is not the best location for such a device.

It was presented on booking as something of high value and quite luxury but the reality was way different. The rooms were old, the windows could at times not even be closed, the balcony was dirty, there were some strange insects on the floor in the room (mind you, there was a rug instead of a wooden floor, which was filthy), the bathroom was probably 1m2 and you could not even move or open the door all the way. The hotel is way too expensive for the value you get, I would not come back here. You did not have any sort of parking guaranteed and we had to pay 26€ for each day of our stay. Not to mention, we had to pay 320€ extra after booking.com made a mistake with our reservation and the hotel was not kind enough to help us in any way. Huge disappointment

Close the Admiral Marina

Very third world feel. The hotel entrance on the promenade looked like a delivery area. Frankly could not believe that was the entrance off the “famed” promenade in Opatija. AC in room inadequate at best and then would shut down intermittently. We booked a sea view but the terrace off the room had several square planters all with with dead weeds. Couldn’t wait to leave. Very disappointing.

Everything was excellent. Alex and Borna on reception, were too polite and helpful with information and practical advice. The room was excellent with a sea view. The beach is in front of the hotel , very modern and easy to go to the sea. The food was delicious. Thanks to all the staff, HOTEL ISTRA is the best in OPATIJA. . We will come back.

The staff at the reception - amazing! We had an anniversary with my husband and a bottle of sparkling wine fruit and cheese were waiting in our room. It was such a nice surprise.

Breathtaking views and the delicious food

No hotel parking, but we’re fortunate to find paid parking right in front for the hotel. The hotel was helpful on guiding us on how to settle the payments.

Location, layout & position

We stayed in Superior Rooms previously which are nicer. I think the soundproofing between rooms is better in the Superior section

We liked the hotel very much. Room was very clean and comfortable. Amazing view. Staff is very kind and most helpful. Very nice breakfast.

No parking. Daily ticket of 15€ should be calculated.Swimming pool works till 19h only, which is good for tourists maybe.The room had the view on the street, not on the sea.

Amazing hotel with delicious food, a fantastic staff, and breathtaking views. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back!

3rd time visiting this hotel, everything was OK. My only remark was that the indoor pool was colder than on my previous visits.

The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and the hotel offered various types of food. The room was clean and the room view was perfect, especially in the morning when sun is up. The hotel crew were kind and friendly.

Cars parked in front of the hotel. ??Not sustainable effort of the management. They add only the green "no room Cleaning," which is more against staff shortage than "green." ???The problem is that cars were there every day all day and pedestrians couldn't get walking. ?‍♀️?‍♂️?

Very surprised by this hotel with a very good price for the location. We’ve been upgraded to a superior room which we really appreciated! The superiors rooms are very nice, with a perfect view and a balcony on the sea. It was very clean. Breakfast was perfectly fine. Swimming pool is also appreciable although they could open the shutters.

Nothing really. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room but this is just a detail.
