    • Beautiful as the pictures! The locally sourced dining experience was excellent, and the staff expertly guides you through the menu with local pride for sourcing and preparation. The staff care for the guests. The little beach and deck made easy access to the water and SUP’s and kayaks by the hour allow for coastal exploring. Easy walk to Opatija where we are one dinner.
    • I liked everything about the property. The view was amazing. The room was spacious and clean. The food was excellent and the staff was so friendly and helpfulThe only negative for me(and perhaps older travelers) was the bathtub. It was difficult to get in and out of safely. Perhaps a lower tub would help or additional grab bars
    • Navis is a boutique hotel with only 44-rooms. We stayed in a 1-bed suite on the 4th floor which is the top floor. The room is spacious, has a king-size bed, industrial modern style furnishings and an outstanding view of the sea. We had a bottle of Prosecco, water and a lovely bowl of assorted fruit awaiting for us in the room. I chose to include breakfast with our stay and it was incredible. In addition to the breakfast buffet options like bread, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, assorted juices, coffee/cappuccino fruit cups, prosecco, etc. Navis offers a separate menu with prepared to order options like omelettes, Eggs Benedict, avocado toast, sausage, etc. also included. See menu photos I included in my review. Breakfast is incredible and the chef/kitchen is very accommodating in creating options for dietary restricted guests. We had two vegans out of five people in our group and both were happy with the dinner meals that were prepared for them and the food available for them at breakfast. Lastly, which was pretty cool, our family in Croatia was able to pick us up in their boat from the Navis dock. What was truly impressive is a Navis staff person came down from the hotel to assist with guiding the boat to the dock and lend a hand getting us into the boat safely.

    Cons -

    • The bathroom tub. Too high to get in and out of safely
    • The ONLY thing was having a room key attached to a small block of wood. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owner’s sons, Filip, who explained the Navis = Ship concept and if a key were to drop in the water it would float because of the wood. Anyway, a key card or app based room key system is in the works.
    • Everything was perfect—beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere, and incredibly kind staff. I loved every moment.

Hotel Navis is a truly magical place—perched like a ship above the sea, with every room offering breathtaking views of the Adriatic and the soothing sound of waves echoing through the air. Waking up here feels like floating on water. The architecture blends effortlessly into the landscape, combining modern design with natural beauty. What makes it even more special is the incredibly kind and attentive staff who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. A peaceful, elegant escape I’ll never forget—and can’t wait to return to.

Everything was perfect—beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere, and incredibly kind staff. I loved every moment.

It is a beautiful hotel just above the sea with splendid views over the bay. The breakfast is delicious - you can order a variety of delicacies. The location is perfect if you'd like peace and tranquillity from the crowds. It is about 10 minutes on foot from the centre of Volosko, the closest village with bars and shops.

The room's lighting is very subtle, and I missed a good reading light. It is pretty impossible to read in the room when it gets dark outside.

View and proximity to the sea is great, although it depends a bit on the room you get (in my case, both rooms been on the first floor which also means direct view on the terrace which sacrifices your privacy on the balcony a bit). Staff generally very friendly. There is a privat jetty and beach access too, which seems the real gem of this hotel (next to the SPA)

It's not that I didn't like it, I just expected more. I stayed over NY eve and couldn't attend the gala dinner since it was already booked out. I thought not problem, I can at least have some drinks at the bar downstairs, but the lobby is rather small and doesn't really invite for staying there and having drinks. I also think the a la carte breakfast was ok, but would definitely profit from a chef which better plating skills.

Exceptional as always. A gem of the local coast. Friendly and helpful staff, beatiful view from the room, lovely breakfast and a tasty but not uptight fine dining restaurant, offering lovely cocktails and a wide selection of local wines and delicacies. The hotel is constantly developing new infrastructure for guests and has been taking care to maintain the facilities in good condition.

The only thing that bothered me was probably water pressure, not too strong for long hair, but it could be helped with multi mode or high pressure shower heads I guess. Also, as a non-smoker, I would prefer the terrace part of the restaurant to be a non-smoking area.

I loved it all! From the check in till the check out!! Clean and designed room with a personal touch- champagne and fresh fruits on arrival/nespresso/coffee/milk....The Spa was absolutely worth it! The lady who works there is so nice and very professional! Her aromatherapy massage was a dream!!?While there, don t miss out on their restaurant!! Delicious fish soup and homemade tagliatellas with shrimps made our evening!! Breakfast a la carte! What do you need more!! Greetings to the staff at the reception! You re all amazing!!

Nothing to dislike! Not a single thing!!!

The scenic view from the room was really fantastic. Great location right on the beach. Very friendly staff. Outstanding breakfast. Small but nice spa. Very comfortable bed.

The hotel has interesting design, but in the reality the surfaces and the colors are a little bit lower level compared to the photos. The corridor and the room are too dark.

Waiters were polite but not as well trained as in other restaurants of this category

The staff are exceptionally nice , the service is amazing. Rooms are clean, views are spectacular from the rooms. We wrote a comment after booking asking for a high floor room and our request was taken into consideration. The beach is really nice to swim in with plenty of space through a combination of beds and bean bags . Breakfast is also amazing with a combination of ordering from a breakfast menu along with an open buffet. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay and will definitely come back again!

The location is perfect - secluded, but an easy 15 min walk to Volosko, which has good restaurants and where the Lungo Mare walk starts. The hotel is small, but has all the amenities one could ask for. The views are incredible from the large balconies and the rooms are nicely appointed and very comfortable. The beach area is very inviting and thoughtfully designed. The water is crystal clear and is beautiful to swim in. One of the highlights was the great breakfast - from fresh fruit to home-made breads and pastries, everything was delicious! Probably the most outstanding thing about this hotel was the service - the staff went to great lengths to accommodate our requests and was always eager to help!

I liked everything about this place - it’s perfect!

We were going on the 4th floor with a magnificent view and private balcony, it was so relaxing and the staff were extremely helpful and personable. Had a very good dinner and a wonderful poached egg with truffles for breakfast. A short walk to the harbor next morning. A great stop between Slovenia and Istria.

The staff were excellent, location dramatic and beautiful sea swimming and the breakfast delightful

Hardly anything will be complete when the 5th floor gym is ready

The Navis is a family-run 5-star hotel in a beautiful seaside location with private access to the sea. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The cuisine, especially the breakfast, is excellent. As a vegan, I was met with the greatest understanding and accommodation.
