Hotel Trovatore

We planned to use a hotel for a stopover in our trip through Italy, with an option to reach Venice from Punta Sabbioni. The hotel met this expectations, offering a comfortable stay, free parking (although not next to the hotel itself) and a very friendly and welcoming staff. Room and facilities, though rather basic and slightly dated, were clean and functional. Breakfast was very good. The hotel offers an access to the beach included in price, which is important with rather expensive beaches in Italy.

The hotel is located just next to a crowded street that turns to an equally crowded main promenade by night, so it may be noisy. It did not bother us, bu be aware that You may need to ask for a room that is a bit more to the back if You do not like noise. Also note that the street is closed for cars at night (between 8 pm and 6 am), so if You plan to arrive very late or very early You may need to carry your luggage further (parking is a block away so its not impacted).

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Roberto, the proprietor and Mario, his assistant were absolutely fabulous.! They helped us in every way from helping to park our car to giving us instructions on how to take the ferry and get to Venice city. Roberto was always there to Explain everything around the hotel and made us feel extremely welcome. I have never met nicer and more helpful Hotel staff. They were exceptional - they took such good care of us!

There was nothing about the property that we didn’t like.

Everything was great. Location is great. Room was super clean and maintained daily. Staff went above and beyond. Level of hospitality and frendlines of staff was something what impressed me most. Great pleace for vacation.

Fabulous location just a few minutes from the beach with sdraio-ombrelloni included in the price. Super-friendly staff.

Lack of shelves/hangers/overall room to put away things (even the wardrobe had no shelves, not very useful). Crib not included in the price.

the staff made me feel super welcome and special, felt like they liked there job. the room was 10 out of 10. (size, cleanliness, comfy, sound). breakfast was good. everything was close by Resturant, bar, shops and transport.

We spent a week in Hotel Trovatore in August 2024.The location is great – right on the street filled with small shops and restaurants, and just a short walk from the private beach. The owners and staff were very nice and friendly. Buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of food to choose from. The room was spacious and clean, the bed very comfortable.Highly recommended.

Fantastic location, clear and transparent about what was included. Nice clean room with new furniture and air con. It was great that the beach is so close and all the restaurants are close and we were given some recommendations too. Great that they include sun loungers and parasol on the beach. The managers and staff are so nice and friendly all the time, they even helped me when I left something behind to send it to me - I am very grateful. Breakfast was lovely, good choice and good times.

We liked the location a lot, few steps from the see/beach and next to very nice street with everything you need and I could just, drink coffe and watch the life around! We loved the italian amosphere there! Staff was so polite!

The room was cleaned every day, which we really did appreciate. The room was neither very big nor something extraordinary but had more or less everything you would expect. Furthermore, a parking lot nearby and deckchairs at the beach are included in the price - a big positive point for us. The buffet provided at breakfast is modest but nothing more than needed - food and drinks were good (the croissants might be homemade because they were delicious).The location is also excellent since it is almost right at the sea and there is a very long street full of restaurants, small markets and clothing stores.

The walls are a bit thin, some times we could hear the neighbouring guests to our left but it did not bother us.

Wonderful hosts, wonderful location. I could see the sea from the room balcony. Everything is clean. Breakfast is great, plenty to choose from. I did not park next to the hotel, but in a large parking lot 200 m away, which was free for us, and which I actually liked much better than next to the hotel, since it was so easy to get in and out anytime without having to bother any other driver.

It did not bother my stay at all, but something that could be improved is the general 'feel', especially of the public spaces (ex. reception area, curtains, carpets). Some things look a little old/outdated.

Property is in perfect location,on the main walk street…during night full of people and at the same time pretty quiet.

It is an older hotel, but still great and clean accommodation, everything you need in the room including a fridge, air conditioning and a balcony - the hotel is located on the main street, but approx. 100 m from the beach. Pay attention to the economy rooms, because they are smaller, but they are equipped the same, only there is less space - the owners warn about this in advance. The best are the staffs, always nice and smiling, the owners go around the guests in the morning during breakfast and ask how they slept or if they are missing something, the maids always greet you with a smile. Even if you don't have a parking lot at the hotel, the central parking lot is approx. 200 meters, you can get a parking card at the reception for free. The breakfast is delicious, constantly replenished, a completely sufficient selection. Parasols and sunbeds on the beach included in the price of accommodation. You will also receive discounts to nearby restaurants. We have nothing to complain about and if we go back to this wonderful place, it will be again to this family hotel of the owners Robert and Mark. Thank you for a very pleasant holiday.

We have not negative thing or experience.

The hotel staff was great and very helpful. They made us feel like at home. The location was very good, 2-3 minutes walk to beach. The hotel has own sun beds and umbrellas on the beach, which was great. They also gave us discount cards for a few restaurants near the hotel. The room was clean and the cleaning service was cleaning the room every day. Hope we will come back some day.

I needed an iron and electric kettle in the room.

Location, owner very kind, detailed explanations from the first minute of the hotel and facilities, parking in the private area, discounts received for the restaurants.

Maintenance of the rooms needs a little bit more attention.( floor to be replaced/repaired where it’s the case)

It’s a very cozy and nice family hotel. The conditions are apropiate for the category of the hotel. Excellent location, the owners are incredibly nice and there to help you. Very clean. Sun-beds on the beach included in the price, which is really helpful. The staff is all very nice and friendly.

We had to change the room during our stay as we booked a flexible one, so be aware on this when you make the booking. We didn’t pay attention when we made the booking of the room, so it was our fault.

Nightmare.

Let's start by saying that this is the worst hotel we have ever been in our lives. Every day was a nightmare from the first moment we came into this hotel. They are scammers, and every single staff member in that hotel hates them because they are horrible. They tried to scam us for money a few times while we were staying in that hotel, and they did that to a lot of people because that is the only way they can get money. They even said that if we post a bad review, they will post fake pictures that prove that we are "bad," but we are not scared of anything, so this is a real review. First of all, they tried to frame us by saying that we crashed a car in hotel parking and tried to take our money, but because restaurants near hotels have cameras and we told them that we would call the police, they couldn't scam us (they did that to a few people). Second, they tried to make us pay an extra 50 euros because we didn't finish our food, which was spoilt and bad, for breakfast, and we had already paid for that. Third, they scrached their own hotel room key (keys are staying in reception unprotected while you are out of your room and anyone can enter your room!) and tried to scam us for 50e more, and they took our 20e deposit for "free parking" as they do that to many guests. They write fake reviews so more people will come to scam them ( when you give them a bad review they will make 10 fake accounts, book the hotel and give it maximum score). The food is horrible, dirty, and in an in an old hotel with very rude managers. They entered our room while we were out and scared our small dog almost every day. If they see that you have money, they will do anything to scam you to get them more money. If we could give them a 0, we would. Shame on you. We are not scared to make a real comment, even if you told us that you would post fake pictures and stuff.

Breakfast was very good, location on main street and near the Beach. Room was clean and modern.
