Hotel Fontana

Very convenient location less than 5 minute walk from the Amalfi bus stop & taxi stop. Gorgeous views of either the ocean or the square & church. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was super helpful in giving us directions and recommendations.

Access to the main lobby requires you walk up some steep stairs, it was not a problem for us but may be an issue for a traveler with a disability.

Location was perfect. Right on Duomo Piazza

Maintenance, staff and parking Maintenance: when we got to the room the floor was full of ants crawling. Staff was surprised which means the room wasn¿t cleaned for a while. The room looked poor. Parking was 60 euro and hard to find.

A nice old school hotel. The host was very accommodating. When we told here we would depart before breakfast was served she had breakfast sent to our room so it was available in the morning.

The view from the room, the location.

The bed linen, the breakfast - particularly the breakfast room, indoors. A friend of mine paid less. yes it was a smaller room, but had a breakfast terrace, and the staff were great. I'd recommend Residenza Luce, its not waterfront, but they are so helpful, with fabulous breakfast on an outdoor terrace with a view.

Location was excellent in the main square. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were large and both had good views from the balcony. Good breakfast selection and great coffee.

Everything! Especially- the location and the view from the balcony! The hotel is right in the main square in front of the Duomo! Very close to the ferry station, bus station, the beach, many shops and restaurants. Good value for money. Good breakfast, nice staff.

A bit small bathroom, but we didn't have any inconvenience.

Great location right on the central piazza in Amalfi. Easy walking access to the ferry landing, the beach and countless shops and restaurants.

Very small shower and our room was next to the kitchen where they make and serve breakfast, so there were clinking dishes pretty early. If you have issues with stairs, there are a few to navigate to meter the hotel with your luggage.

Very good location. Nice see view from the balcony. Good breakfast with big choice of food. Rooms cleaned daily with daily towels change. A bottle of water given to room every day.

I was reading in reviews about the small shower cabins but didn’t expect it to be that small. It’s really hard to have a shower.However, the positives outweigh this disadvantage.

Throughout the duration of our trip, this hotel was a comfortable experience. Breakfast featured a variety of baked goods, fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted breads, eggs, bacon, coffee, and juices. The guest room was spacious, thoughtfully furnished with couches and a desk, and offered an impressive view of the Amalfi coast. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and professionalism, and the hotel's location provided convenient access to ferries, buses, restaurants, and shopping venues.

Real nice room and the breakfast and Cappuccino were excellent. The staff are very welcoming

Stairs, lots of stairs with no one to help with suitecase . We found someone off the streets at 15€ a suite case! Hotel was of no assistance.

Proximity to everything

A bit noisy. Location beats noise.. bring ear plugs if facing piazza

The location was right in the center. Breakfast was inclusive with lots of options from cappuccino to cornetto to cereals to fruits. The room had a spectacular view of the center and the duomo.

I wish the bathroom had some body gel options but they only provided shampoo.
