Residenza Sole Amalfi

Location, breakfast and staff were grea!. Would stay here again.

Bathroom door wouldn't stay shut and did not lock.

We loved the old fashioned elegance in the bedroom, with curtains so you could open the doors to the shared patio but still have privacy. The bathroom was completely modern and looked very new. The host offered a service for luggage transfer but we walked up the steps, because steps are part of the Almafi experience! The breakfast featured WARM croissants they were the best we have had on this vacation. The room had a table and chairs so you could eat privately, but we chose to eat on the shared terrace and enjoy the December sunshine sheltered from the wind. Our host allowed us a late checkout (2pm) because we had a late afternoon ferry. We walked the "path of the gods" which was beautiful, we chose to walk down the steps from Nocelle instead of taking the bus, we were sore the next day and spent it reading on the lovely terrace in the sunshine. (We are over 65 years old)

Breakfast was great. Lots of typical Italian breakfast foods!

At times the steps were killers, esp. after a long day, but the place was very convenient.

54 steps, not 40 as listed; minibar empty; breakfast a joke; bruised fruit on a cpl days it was put out; one day canned fruit cocktail; hot food not covered. Twin beds connected, like king; bathroom shower spray holder broken; soap dish over 6' high, cdn't see contents; they didn't take credit card; very noisy from restaurant below every night; large lite in bathroom was a motion detector & went on when yu went by & off if yu were in there a few minutes; one very broken mirror; ceiling lite kept flickering on & off; one pillow felt like it held stiff small balls.

Family room is only suitable for two adults with two children age ~6-12, not suitable for 4 adults or with children older than ~12

The location was good

It was unclean, things were broken and faulty, the breakfast was not good and it felt very dirty and tired

Accommodating staff allowed early checkin for no extra cost and stored luggage after checkout.

The shower did not work properly. You could hear through the walls

No AC working all night. Freezing in room. In the morning I told girl at reception , she lift up the fuse, and she said now is working, 10 min before leaving.

No one to contaact for help at night when no heat in room. Parking is 45 euros, they should put price on booking.com

Excellent staff, very clean, excellent breakfast

It was advertised as having a view of the sea. That was false .There was no mention of the construction happening and the inability to access the front of the building to drop off the elderly family member we had there was also no mention of the numerous stairs necessary to access this property

Comfortable bed and bedding, all the supplies that were needed, lovely terrace area. The host was helpful and accommodating. Basic but everything worked well, would recommend to others!

Rudimentary breakfast. Some noise from the street/restaurant below - but that is to be expected in a place as dense as Amalfi.

Host and people working there

- they told us in the app that there where two separate beds, arrive and there was a king bed and a sofa telling us that the other bed is the sofa- fake free parking lot- lots of stairs that make difficult to take the bags and the luggage with you- coffe is insanely strong, care-full

It is just in the center. I liked the decoration. Breakfast was good.

Not enough sunshine in the room.

Breakfast was satisfactory. Location is good. Staff were attentive and helpful.

Exorbitant parking cost, but maybe normal for Amalfi. Still, they say depends on size of car and time of year. Having a small Fiat and out of the main season (October), I thought 50euro per night was a bit steep.

Breakfast was very good a great selection to choose from. Location very central and away from husstle and bussle, just a short walk to beach and restaurents excellent. and very quiet. Room was super decor was very fitting with Italian sourrounding buildings. It was great having access to balcony from our bedroom any time during the day if for lunch coffee or Breakfast or a glass of wine etc.

we found no faults. and would highly recommend to our friends.

Location is quite good, does have quite a few steps to get to the entrance. Beds were comfortable & the place was clean. Breakfast was a bonus as well

Communication was poor. Our phones couldn’t call the number provided so we had no way of letting the property know we’d arrived. The shower also needed a re-vamp, the doors didn’t open properly.
