Hotel Luna Convento

Location, historic charm, friendly staff, swimming pool complete with platform for diving into the Mediterranean Sea!

Initially i was given a room where i could not even stand in the bathroom, hotel site should clearly mention that people above 6 Ft height will find it inconvinient or must allocate a different room.

Our view and our terrace were absolutely amazing. The bar tender was extremely nice. This hotel is in almost every single picture or painting of Amalfi. It is truly historic and in an incredible location.The Amalfi Lemon experience is within walking distance and is a must do experience. Revello is a short car ride and Positano is a short boat ferry away.

We just wish they had lotion in the bathroom.

Just an amazing experience, close to town and the staff went over and above to help with everything.

The location and view from thr breakfast area were about the only nice things here.

Very far from a 4 star. More like a 2-3 star depending on the region you’re traveling to. Rooms are beyond outdated. Beds not comfortable. It just wasn’t a room you were happy to return to or feel comfortable in. Shower easily clogs. The bathroom towels are stained. The towels at the pool look decades old. Hallway is always noisy with cleaning carts. The staff for breakfast are not always the nicest. People are on vacation and starting their morning, they should be more pleasant with the guests.

Centrally located on the coast! The charm and the history of the Hotel is evident from the entry way to the room. Absolutely the gem of Amalfi

The location of this property is exceptional.

The staff can be rude and the furnishings are old. Our room only had a bathtub with no shower.

I stayed at the Luna Convento in 2006 and always wanted to go back. It is still my favorite hotel on the Amalfi Coast.The location is perfect, the breakfast delicious. The views spectacular! The staff very attentive and eager to please.Already planning a return trip for next year.

Location is excellent, set apart from the noise and bustle of Amalfi bit only a short walk there. Staff was excellent; we arrived very late and they took care of us. Arranging transportation was easy and the pool and views are spectacular. Our balcony over looked two Med views.

The beds/pillow was not as comfortable as I would like it and in the bathroom there was precious little space to put toiletries. Also it was a big step up to the shower in our room.

Bathrooms small and a bit crowded

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Excellent. The views were first rate. The pool was nice and well maintained. Breakfast was great and pleasant.

The view of the sea from this hotel is magnificent. It is built into the cliff and looks not only onto the sea, but also the town of Amalfi. Our room, on the tippy top, was spectacular. We have stayed here many years -- beginning in 1997 (I think) and the staff has always welcomed us like we are family. The buffet breakfast is delicious and plentiful -- the the outside tables allowed us to begin our day with a magnificent view. The cloister in the middle is a peaceful and beautiful place to sit and enjoy cocktails. I cannot say enough about the staff -- each person bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and joyful. They were even kind about my American quest for ice. Whenever I asked, they brought me a little bucket of ice for my drinks and water.

The only challenging part of this trip was that the elevator was not working for most of our stay -- the number of stairs from the pool to our room was 262, so that was A LOT of steps -- especially for my husband who has Parkinson's Disease. But, we made the best of it and just allowed plenty of time to go up and down. We will still come back to the Luna Convento -- it's an exquisite hotel with the nicest staff in the world.
