    • The hotel has the best views I've ever experienced from a hotel. The balcony was glorious. The rooms are simple but very clean and have comfortable beds. The restaurants served nice food with a lovely view over Ravello. Highly recommend.
    • I like how peaceful it was! And the view was amazing. Far from crowds. We walked to the bus and to Ravello. Luigi was a great host. The breakfast was offered on a patio with a great view.
    • Great view! Alao there is parking (important!), a pretty nice breakfast.

    Cons -

    • The pillows in the room were very uncomfortable. And the room was rather basic. But that was fine since we were outside most of the time. There were two weddings there during our three days stays, which is fine. The place is nice, but the pool was closed at 3 to allow for preparation.
    • Its not that bad but the place is built like a maze. Beautiful but hard to find the way there lol.
    • The rooms are well cleaned daily but we still found ants in our room most days The breakfast menu is quite limited The bed was firm and uncomfortable The hotel is small - which we liked - but for two of our three night stay, the pool area had been booked out for evening events and so the pool closed early and loud music was played until late disturbing our sleep

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Giuseppina in Scala! The hotel is family-run with about 30 rooms on the property. The staff were fantastic and provided exceptional customer service. Our room was located on the top floor with a balcony, so we had a fantastic view of Ravello, the sea, and the mountains. The food at the restaurant exceeded our expectations and was highly convenient on our first night when we arrived tired, jet lagged, and starving. The continental breakfast was served on a semi-open terrace with incredible views. The pool was open in early May, however, the weather outside was too cold for us to use it. The hotel is located in Scala, which is a VERY small town in the mountains. The scenery is gorgeous and perfect for a quiet getaway. There are a handful of restaurants in the town and more locals than tourists. It feels different from nearby Ravello (a must visit) and very different from nearby, touristy, Amalfi. The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the central square where the SITA bus picks up. We used the SITA bus every day to visit Ravello (5 min ride), Amalfi (20-30 min ride), and other cities along the coast. It is also walking distance Valle Delle Ferriere, if you feel ambitious to walk down the mountain to Amalfi. Highly recommend this hotel!

The finishes in the hotel rooms were a little dated. The bed was not super comfortable.

we got a room with a beautiful view..But the facilities could have been better.. There was no iron, no water boiler to make tea or coffee in the morning or evening while enjoying a beautiful view from balcony. There was a tiny toy size T.V. with only Italian channels..Breakfast area was great. Hotel located in cute tiny but beautiful village Scala. very near to Ravello..has enough Parking Place.

no Iron, No water boiler and no Tea or coffee sachet in the room...The T.V. with almost zero English channels.

On arrival the hotel did not have our reservation, either Booking.com did not forward the reservation or the hotel missed it. The host was very friendly and she showed us our room on the third floor. The room advertised on Booking site is supposed to be a superior room 25 m2, however the room we had was merely 17 to 18 m2 including the bathroom but had a large balcony (is the surface of the balcony included in the advertised area, if so it should have been clearly mentioned)Beds somewhat stiff and the bathroom very tight. The hotel is super clean whether the room or the common areas. We had dinner 2 nights at the hotel, the first night it was perfect the second night was acceptable. The hotel is set in a very quiet area with great view onto the valley as well as Ravello. It offers free parking. Breakfast is good and quite fresh food.

View of Ravallo from room, bar, and pool were spectactular. Pool was clean and well cared for. Breakfast buffet had the usual and expected european fare, and staff generally were helpful and friendly.

Room was very dated, TV was small and old with poor reception and AC was leaking water onto the furniture and TV. Fortunately we spent little time in the room so this wasnt a big problem but if you expect TV or AC this might not be the place for you. Once reported to staff they seemed to repair the leak, but then the AC did not work reliably for remainder of stay. A few staff members should consider another line of work as they seemed annoyed by our presence.

The views from our balcony and almost every area of the hotel was simply breathtaking. The manager and staff were wonderful.

The hotel is about a 20 min walk to Ravello centre and a five min walk to sleepy little town with bus links to Amalfi. Rooms are very simple, no tea of coffee facilities but the staff were always happy to make us drinks.

The pool, the friendly staff and the food at lunch and dinner

It was a bit dated but clean and comfortable.

The view and the common areas of the villa were clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast. Some fresh fruits and good homemade sweet items. Food servers were very polite and attentive.

Room was a big disappointment. Subpar for the description sent to me. Very worn, small, and an obscured view of the sea. The bathroom was small for two and the shower was moldy and very small with bad drainage. Also, on our first night, they didn't even have a room for us and put us up in an apartment... Although it was nice, it was about a half mile from the villa/hotel. The staff never offered anything as an inconvenience perk. In fact, no one ever even said, "Sorry."You were only allowed one cappuccino per person every morning,€4 each for more! The rest of the food was hit or miss. They had a nice little, more reasonably priced menu for lunch/room service, but they never told us. Found out by asking on the day of a big thunderstorm. But that was how most information was to be gotten...extra or nice was never offered. For example, we couldn't get a ride down to the bus stop with our luggage on our checkout day. It was approximately 1 mile! Not even for a fee!

The nice elderly lady during the breakfast, she was so nice

Very small bathroom, bad wifi. Very thin walls, you can hear everything. Smelled fumes one night. No warm blanket in october. It is really hard to get help from staff in english.

Traditional Italian hotel in an amazing location. The pool area is a highlight and the onsite restaurant highly recommend. Room was basic but comfortable with everything you need and the views of Ravello from the balcony was outstanding. Staff were helpful and friendly and the location of Scala is perfect if you want a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of the more popular Amalfi coast destinations.

On a positive note, the room and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast served was both good and tasty. They also offered a commendable dinner, which was a pleasant surprise after a long day.

Upon arrival, I found that there was no Wi-Fi signal in the room; it was only available in the lobby, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, there was no bottled water available in the room, making it difficult to stay hydrated. The location is quite far from the Amalfi Coast, which made it inconvenient for getting around. This hotel might suit those with their own vehicles who want to escape the crowds, but for someone relying on public transport, it was a challenge.

    Beautiful view and lovely staff

A little far away from Amalfi and a bit of a walk to the bus stop which isn’t very regular

    8NickiPosted on: 10-2-2024

Everything was great except my expectation was we’d have a beautiful view. We didn’t (room 15) we had a view of a roof and a party room which was holding a party that finished very late. Such a shame as everything else was wonderful, especially the staff.

    The view.
