Pousada Vila Real Santo Antonio

Absolutely beautiful rooms. They provided an amazing box of high quality dog food for my dog. The staff were both friendly and helpful. It rained a lot while we were there but the hotel was a lovely place to stay inside. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had. We also had a scrumptious dinner one night.

Nothing to not like. It was wonderful. Highly recommend.

We had a delightful stay at Pousada Vila Real. The location was absolutely perfect—right in the square—so it was incredibly easy to explore the local charm, grab a coffee, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere.The rooms were super comfy, making it a relaxing retreat after busy days of sightseeing. What truly stood out, though, was the staff: warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile.All in all, a top-notch stay that combined amazing convenience, comfort, and hospitality. Highly recommended!

Charming hotel in the center of town.

The parking is remote but not a problem.

Great location. Nice lobby and common areas. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was standard buffet with several options. We found free parking at a lot down the street.

The ambience scent sometimes was a bit too strong.

This property was a bit of a hit and miss for us, It’s a nice hotel, nice restaurant, it’s got a lot going however on arrival we had booked a superior room but when given our room, it was dark, cold, small, if u just step away from the edge of the bed, u would fall out onto the balcony, no kettle or coffee and then basically to top it all, the toilet (which was broken) and shower was on top of your bed, no door, it was very disappointing as I would hate to think what a normal Double room must look like, maybe this room is outside on the balcony? So I made a complaint and was given a much better room to which I would say was a superior room, so this unfortunately dampened our stay here as what is advertised is not given, after all this, generally our stay was pleasant but don’t think we will return sadly. It seems this management are very out of touch with there paying customers as what I observed. Something is amiss at this hotel sadly!

Really lovely hotel, quiet, very nice staff, good breakfast. In a historical location which is beautiful and quiet! Very easy to walk to the beach/forest from here.

The breakfast was superb ! Good quality, fresh and tasty.

The bedroom would have benefitted with more hooks and rails for towels, there was only one small towel rail for 4 towels so we had to hang towels over chairs and the bathroom door .. not an acceptable solution!

A most friendly and efficient hotel. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast was both varied and very tasty. Only complaint was the odour of visible mould in bathroom and several public area

Easy to find. A short 12-15 minute walk from the train station. Pousada can be found on the edge of Praça Marquêz de Pombal. It looks exactly like the front. They also have an auxiliary site across the plaza. Early morning breakfast is excellent and has some variety from day to day. The staff is very helpful throughout the day and night. Someone is always at the front desk. I was able to leave my luggage at the desk before checkin while I explored. There’s also Pickleballer for those actively inclined. However, it’s in a covered venue with 4 courts only 1.2 kilometers away. Ristorante Ernesto, just up the street facing the harbor, is excellent.

Very helpful friendly staff. Excellent location. Spacious room. Very good breakfast. We had a problem with the plug in the hand basin and reported this when we went to breakfast. It was fixed by the time we had eaten. Excellent service.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and we enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant. We would happily stay here again.

Hotel is in a good location but unfortunately there is no vehicle access so luggage has to be carried to hotel.

Central location, relaxed vibe and friendly staff. Marianne welcomed us with openness and a great smile. She is so professional and friendly. Breakfast was great.

The evening dinner was handy but very basic.

We loved our stay . We loved the quirky design within a fabulous building on a beautiful square . Our stay was made all the better with the welcoming and extremely helpful staff . In particular Mariana was wonderful and an absolute credit to the hotel . We can’t wait to come back and will hopefully stay in the room we did this time .

The hotel is in the best location making it easy to find good restaurants. The staff are very helpful and went the extra time to make our stay wonderful.

Every other Pestana pousada we have stayed in has a parking facility. But not Vila RealSanto Antonio! Clearly the hotel location does not allow for parking but a secure parking specifically for your guests should be arranged.

Great location, right in the centre of the town. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Good comfortable bed.
