The Monterey Hotel, BW Signature Collection by Best Western

The rooms were nice, spacious, and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was good and just a short bus ride away from the front.

The bathroom didn't have a walk in shower, it was in a bath.

Everything ,you get a lovely welcome on arrival ,one person in particular her name is Philistev she is always so friendly helpful and cheerful in her job not saying the rest of the staff not good they are all great just didn't get there names,had a nice large room,plus I had a lovely surprise when I had a knock at the door, and standing their was a member of staff handing me a complimentary bottle of wine, it was in a ice bucket as well, so it nice and cold ready to drink with a message welcoming me back to the Hotel it was lovely and the wine was really nice as well,I will definitely be back again.

The staff were amazing! So helpful and charming in every area of the hotel.

The room was very noisy - creaking floorboards and thin walls so quite difficult to sleep at night. The hotel did offer to move us, but only there for a few nights so didn’t bother.

Though they could do better with seating areas in bar and reception. Need better seating areas with comfortable chairs . Bar just had 3 low tables rest were tall tables with bar stools.

The room was a good size, was generally quiet, and was convenient for town. Thankfully the mattress was not rock hard.

* the WiFi wasn’t strong enough (room 105)* I was woken up every time the person in the room above walked across his room (creaming floorboards)* perhaps cleaning staff and other guests can avoid chatting in raised voices outside rooms with a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door. * the room was very expensive for a 3 star hotel (£160 a night!)

Good cooked breakfast and helpful staff throughout. Small indoor pool, with jacuzzi and towels. 20-minute walk from town. Plenty of off-street parking.

Dated and old-fashioned. Family room was large, but poorly designed with a very tiny bathroom. Poor value - better off spending more for a beach hotel in St. Brelades.

Air conditioning in the bedrooms would have been good.Fans were provided but not very effective.

Loved the staff, facilities, and location

Great hotel just 15 minutes walk from the centre of St. Helier. Staff were very helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely leisure facilities consisting of both an indoor and outdoor pool with a gym. Excellent breakfast. Couldn’t fault this one bit and would definitely recommend it.

Nothing to dislike

The beds were very comfy and beautifully made up. The pools were nice and cool for the hot weather and there was lots of seating on the patio beside the pool.The staff were all lovely and very attentive.

It would have been good to have air conditioning, we did have a fan but it wasn't quite the same but I know this probably isn't an issue for most of the year.Our bathroom was a bit compact but manageable, a shelf to put tolietries on would have been great.A few plugs around the beds would have been really helpful as well.

Lovely breakfast, daughter has Coeliac disease & staff were so helpful to accomadate gluten free options.

Perhaps some Gluten free pastries/ treats would be nice.

Staff were very thoughtful and well organised eg with provision for gluten-free diet. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools.Great range and quality of food in restaurant. Good weekly quiz night.

Dirt on outside plastic roof above the pool - needs washing down. A pity as it is a lovely pool.
