Cons -
- Nothing. Only that we wish we could have stayed longer. But we had travel plans.
- Bed was a bit small
- Beds were a little hard, hot breakfast was barely warm. Coffee machine took time which formed a queue. But these were small gripes compared to the rest of the stay.

Nice dinner with live music, nice spa pool
Bed was a bit small
Well situated in the city, ideal for getting around. The parking was good with plenty of spaces. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were warm, as it was getting a little chilly outside during our stay (late September). Didn't use the spa so can't comment. Room was clean and was checked up on to ensure up to standard. We ate in the restaurant most days and had breakfast, good food and a nice selection.
Beds were a little hard, hot breakfast was barely warm. Coffee machine took time which formed a queue. But these were small gripes compared to the rest of the stay.
I was upgraded to a fabulous room I had booked for a single rm but when I arrived to check in they told me I had been upgraded which was nice, and the staff are very friendly.
Staff were brilliant & room was as described.
Hotel was dated in places & a very bouncy lift.
The staff were very helpful and polite. The spa was a welcome treat after a long day travelling.
I think a few more breakfast options would be good, e.g. Egg's Benedict.
The hotel environment was exquisite to say the least. All of the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly, the food was delightful and the Ayush Spa facilities are some of the best on the island. Highly recommended. Thank you.
The breakfast and dinner were very good, which was surprising given the rather spartan surroundings of the restaurant, e.g. the tables had no tablecloths. A nice big bedroom though the air conditioning was out of order, seemingly for quite a while given the type-written notice on the wall. A fabulous pool, steam room and sauna. Excellent Wi-Fi.
The building seemingly showing its age with broken air-conditioning in our bedroom, while in the Spa the showers were out of action despite multiple signs telling guests to shower before using any of the facilities! If on foot, there is quite a hilly walk up to the hotel from the main road. Moreover, the Hotel's grand facade (seen in the pictures) is hidden from the road by a very ugly building (including multi-storey car park) located half way up the steep hill right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was amazing including food we had in the evening. Staff were approachable and polite. We had a fantastic and relaxing time at the hotel. My wife really enjoyed it as we stayed at the hotel for her 35th birthday
Don't think so we had a loads salad for breakfast
Quiet, nice dinner, good spa, great position
Breakfast buffet a bit limited - possibly not many guests this time of year
Friendly staff. High quality food and great swimming pool and spa.good singer in hotel restaurant
We paid extra for and had a nice large balcony room but bathroom felt like a disabled bathroom with wet room shower more changing room feel than hotel room . Returned from dinner in town and found Bar shut early before 12pm on a Saturday night. We wanted a nightcap so disappointed.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you.Even when we arrived late, and asked about getting a drink in the bar - which was just closing - the reception called the bar tender and arranged for him to pour us a drink! The hotel is beautiful - inside and out.The room - we had a large balcony room - it was so comfortable. Had a fridge and tea making facilities.Breakfast was great - you could ask for additional items to be cooked. We ate at the hotel every night - they were the best meals I have had in a long time. Spa area is beautiful and I loved spending time relaxing there.Hotel shuttle bus available and was brilliant for my dad who can’t walk far.I walked to and from town in 20 minutes, lovely walk.
It was one of the biggest hotels I have stayed. Fascinating high ceilings and big rooms.
Great location and beautiful hotel. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and fresh and had load of space and storage. Breakfasts had a fantastic range of food on offer. Would definitely go back!
My only slight gripe was that after the cleaner had been in with the vacuum there was a slightly stale smell - weird but it didn't last long!
Everything was fantastic - a group of six friends all agreed. Cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Highly recommend staying.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Fantastic Hotel fabulous facilities super helpful staff we had best time
In ideal world spa open til later
The friendly helpful staff, the breakfast and the facilities. You can have extras with the breakfast just look at the little menu on your tables. The minibus into and back from town, at certain times, was such a nice touch. I had a massage and it was brilliant. Thank you Mary!
Nothing really.
The majestic style of a world renowned hotel delivered exactly to my expectations. The architecture is impressive the modernisation undergone over the years is sympathetic and in keeping with the buildings genre.Truly a five star experience
The freeview channels on the tv were not accessible, leaving no alternative options during the evening when experiencing inclement weather. The room would benefit from a mini fridge rather than a trouser press.
