Pros +
- The room was not as advertised and a little small but did the job. The staff were very helpful and the food at night and breakfast were very good.
- Great staff
- The pool area was lovely and so were the grounds . The communal areas were a little dated . The room was spotless . The staff were very good .
Cons -
- size of the room
- The hotel is dated, old-fashioned and reminds me of a care home. Far too many steps within the building in random places. No ramps, and some steps are blind. Floor boards are very noisy and walls are so thin you can hear people in the next room.
- Certain areas of the hotel were not lit , meaning unable to use - for example the lounge where the pool table was in darkness .

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing and the hotel stuff was the friendliest and most helpful I've ever had in all my travels so far. I would defintely come back here.
The hotel was in a very lovely location the gardens and swimming pool excellent and Able to have our springer spaniel stay at the hotel the hotel is very dog friendly
The room could be updated but still very comfortable excellent
breakfast and room
evening meal/ poor quality and over cooked
The facilities were very good room was spacious and very clean, staff were very helpful Breakfast had many choices food was excellent.
I felt this Hotel could of done with a lift as many elderly guests staying there too many stairs for me as I was on top floor. Evening Entertainment could of been better
The staff were fantastic! The waiters/dining staff were exemplary, led by a gentlemen who exemplified professionalism. I could not believe how quick the turnaround was from ordering food, to it arriving on your plate. Fantastic.I want to make a special mention to a nice Irish lady on the reception. On my last day, I ordered a taxi which was significantly delayed. Noticing me still stood there waiting, she rushed out to offer to take me herself in her car down to St Helier to make my meeting. After politely refusing as I arranged alternative transport from a colleague, she offered me a coffee while I wait. What a lovely person! I've never had that level of customer service before which I will never forget. Thank you.
I felt the room needs a refurb. I've never been a fan of rooms where the sink is in the room itself, rather than the bathroom. However, this is personal preference.
Great grounds. Minibus to central St Helier ran several times each morning (10.00/10.20 and 10.40am if wanted). Staff were good too. Rooms comfortable.
Last bus from the main bus station left at 7.15pm. So we generally were back at hotel fairly early (some nights we ate at hotel). No lift (our rooms on second floor: so 42 stairs up to them.
Great hotel for the price. Basic but super clean and lovely breakfast. Staff were very helpful and the room was quiet and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was good and the staff very polite and informative.
The 'double bed' which was two singles joined together with two separate duvets that were not generous (gap in the middle).
Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Shuttle bus to town. Nice breakfast. Restaurant was lovely. Liked the swimming pool.
Sliding door to toilet not giving much privacy. Walls a bit thin, could hear next room talking.
Lovely pool & jacuzzi, but the latter n⁰ot always open. Evening dinner - could have 2 courses instead of 3, but I found it hard to eat even 2 courses. The snacks in the bar area were not good typical fast food.
The staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was good - breakfast and evening meal. Very fast service. The singers were good in the evenings.
Our room was a bit dated. Bed too small. Shower and toilet in a cupboard.
Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast good. Outdoor pool and hot tubs great. Any issues were sorted ASAP.
Rooms a bit dated, though functional.
The gardens and pool area were lovely
It was a little like a care home due to the age of the clientele and the food / restaurant atmosphere
This was one of the friendliest hotels that I have ever stayed in, I felt comfortable from the start. The hotel was cleaned to a high standard and facilities were good throughout. The pool and surrounding areas were kept clean and safe. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. They offered entertainment each night which was either film or live music. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I personally will be returning.
Everything. It was . Clean , Comfortable, Food was 1st class, Well prepared and Choices very good! Staff were Friendly & efficient, couldn't Fault Them at All. courtesy Bus was handy to Town in morning. ,Grounds Were Beautiful , The Avery was interesting , The pool and Pool / Barbeque Area was spotless .. Would Definitely Recommend it and Would Stay here again. Thank you for a very Enjoyable Stay.
Nothing !.. it suited My needs and I felt safe & Secure as a solo Traveller.
Lovely staff will go above and beyond .with great entertainment in the evenings .give the weekend bbq a go it's amazing
Could do with a little upgrading and a lift added.
The staff are amazing - nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel very welcome. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of seating available. Nice size pool. Good breakfast with plenty of options available.
The pool was a little on the cold side.
