Zermatt Budget Rooms at Alpen Resort, Spa & Dining

The staff were very friendly, and provided us with an upgraded room! The room and view were incredible. Their spa was lovely and had a lot of offerings. We also enjoyed the tea time they have in the afternoons, and the breakfast they offer.

We receive the upgrade. We have booked budget room but was given family suit and what a stay it was !! Terrific.The Hotel is located close to Zermat train station The hot water jacuzzi and big swimming pool are so relaxing.We had the best stay of Switzerland in this hotel...!!We as a family will book this hotel every time we visit Zermatt.

Location and breakfast

The rooms were great, friendly staff, great location, delicious food in the restaurant & breakfast included.Use of the Spa is brilliant with saunas, onsen bath, hot tubs & indoor heated pool, perfect way to end the day.We booked a budget room and were upgraded to a balcony room which was a bonus.

The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. Breakfast had many options. The spa was a wonderful perk, with an outdoor warm pool, sauna, steam room, and relaxation room. It was a short walk to Zermatt town center. This hotel had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Upgraded to family room. It has a seperate small bedroom. Spacious main room/living room. Complimentary tea, coffee.

Preferably harder pillows

At the breakfast buffet the bacon was soaking in fat, the salmon and salami didn’t look appetizing.

Everything! We were a party of three and we were upgraded. Thank you for the upgrade.

The room was spacious and clean... also had a great view. Very comfy bed. Staffs offered all the amenities and they were very easy to find.

Spacious room and the spa/pool. We ended up getting upgraded and I feel like we hit the jackpot! Well worth it and we didn't even have to book the Aspen hotel rooms but we got all the same amenities and treatment.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel and pool are lovely.

The breakfast staff are abrupt and impolite. Breakfast is supposed to run until 11am but when we came in at 10:30am they were already starting to take the food away. They said in English “I guess some people can’t read the sign” but the sign said breakfast served until 11am, not until 10:40am.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The microwave made our stay much easier. The river in front was so beautiful—we couldn’t get enough of it. The walk along the river was also amazing and a great experience.

I love the spa included in the facilities, it was really relaxing after a long walk. I could see the Matterhorn when I walked out to the yard surprisingly since I did not book a room with mountain-view.

There were two staffs at the reception desk, one was really friendly and kind, the other one was hmmm.. But anyway, the stay would be perfect if the pillow could be more supporting head/neck.

Lovely staff. Loved being welcomed with a glass of Prosecco! Nice breakfast. Within 5 minute walk from the train station. Got upgraded! The room was spacious, clean, quiet, comfy but very cold the first night; the issue was addressed by the team the next day. The pool is lovely, the saunas are nice, the outside jacuzzi was not hot.
