Wellness Hotel Alpenhof

The staff was absolutely wonderful! Hotel employee was a wonderful bartender, and hotel employee was a great host. We loved listening to the pianist at night. The room was very clean, and the soaking tub that came with bath salt was divine.

Nope- when we come back to Zermatt we will be staying here again.

Facility incl. Sauna, swimming pool etc. Massage was also good, and the masseuse was very friendly. Breakfast was also good with many options.The staff who handled our check-in and check-out was very nice and helpful? I think her name was Anja.

Just one particular receptionist, who was not professional and dragged down the whole service level.When I booked a massage, there was another lady with short blonde hair at reception, who was super unfriendly. At first, my husband talked for me in German to book. After it was confirmed, I wanted to double check one thing, then she stepped 1 step back and just stared at me without saying anything. I asked again, she kept her silence with little smirk. She nodded at the end, but the info she gave me was even a wrong info. If she didn’t know, she could have just said she doesn’t know, so that I could double check with masseuse.To me it seemed like, there is no standard in service, most of the staffs were very good and professional, and this one lady just dragging the whole service level down.When it comes to service, it is gonna be depends on whom you will be talking to.

The Penthouse was fantastic! Very spacious and comfortable. We could see the Matterhorn right from the room and balconies. The kids also loved the trampoline and pool. The staff was great, and they stored our luggage after checkout until we were ready to catch our train.

Only 1 family jacuzzi. Was crowded and we had to wait for people to get out before we could get in.

Beautiful place and fantastic location! So comfortable and loved the steam, sauna, etc. Really good restaurant and the breakfast buffet was fantastic!

Great location in lovely Zermatt! The spa and tea times are a nice touch and we loved the included breakfast each day. Staff were super hospitable and made the stay comfortable!

We didn’t realize there were nude and non-nude areas in the spa. There is really only a small jacuzzi and a pool for the non-nude area, and the nude area contains a stream room, a few saunas, and another jacuzzi. The nude area is coed which was the biggest disappointment. As a 20-something female I felt a bit uncomfortable with it. I was able to enjoy it once with my husband after he scouted it out and it was empty. He went back a few times and said some people were leaving towels on, so I think that’s an option too. We did enjoy the non-nude jacuzzi each day though!One other thing I’ll mention is that our air conditioning was dripping water the entire time we stayed. The staff told us it was normal and to just put towels on the floor, and they did send someone in to look at it a few times but it never quite resolved.

The check-in staff were neutral on my friendliness scale (4 out of 10). The reception could benefit from more smiling to increase the overall feeling of being welcome and hospitality.

Comfortable location. Clean rooms. Firm mattress. Nice hot tub and sauna. Good breakfast. All regular amenities included and more. Staff handled minor issues with room promptly.

The dining host/hostess at breakfast were not very friendly. The host seemed a bit hostile or impatient when handling allergen requests, which made the experience uncomfortable; however, the kitchen accommodated the allergies properly and without issue.

Beautiful property, great spa and the breakfast was excellent.

Had dinner there one night and although food was excellent the older waiter/ maitre’d was grouchy and unpleasant.

Gorgeous hotel combining traditional regional charm and personality with modern accommodation and facilities. Staff were helpful before, and during our stay - arranging station transfers and providing local knowledge. The spa ares is outstanding, and breakfast was 5*.

My second stay and becoming my favourite place to go! I LOVE this town and hotel. Breakfast and 5 course dinner is superb. Love the variety in the 2 Julen restaurants, love the lounge and rooms are perfect. I am a huge fan of the adult only spa area, though annoyingly now and again people try to ignore the sign… it’s adult because it’s naked! So best it’s kept strictly so :) it’s super relaxing after a day skiing and the hotel feels like a great sport/ wellness place. In sum: I love Alpenhof and I’ll be back later this year for sure! Thank you to their friendly staff for being such lovely hosts :)
