Hotel Metropol & Spa Zermatt

The staff provided unparalleled personal service & made an already-great experience perfect. We visited for my mother's birthday and, on their own initiative, they prepared a special table for her, with a birthday cake & candle. Cannot thank them enough!

Staff at front desk and the dining room were incredibly pleasant to deal with. Breakfast was wonderful and the coffee the best!! Very convenient to transport and attractions. We had a room with a Matterhorn view and it was all worth it!

Nothing, it was a perfect stay!

All of the staff I met were warm, friendly, and helpful. The lady who checked me in was an absolute delight. I booked a room with a balcony and Matterhorn view and it did not disappoint. You can even see the Matterhorn from the pool. The sauna and steam room were a nice bonus.

Excellent in all. Shuttle from/to train station. Easy walk to city center. Close to bus stop to get to lifts. Has unobstructed view of Matterhorn around the property. Spacious room, closet & bathroom. Lots of windows that let in fresh air and views. Delicious breakfast. Helpful staff.

great small family run hotel right in the heart of Zermatt. easy walk from the train station. They kindly lent me some walking poles for my hiking adventures. The best part of this hotel is the SPA. Every day i used the hot tub, steamroom, and sauna after hiking. great view of the Matterhorn!

Very good location and also very clean. Stuff at the reception, both upon arrival and check out was extremely nice! Very big plus for this hotel. Amazing view from the room's window. Also just a 6 min walk from the train station makes it a very nice location. It was good value for money

No heating at 4th floor. I know it was early October, but it snowed during the night before we left. I was freezing in the room and slept with a hoodie under de duvet.Tried to call the reception, but there isn't anybody to pick up in the evening.

The hotel offers a very nice breakfast buffet, with an option to pay more for hot food. The view from the patio is gorgeous- be sure to enjoy it! The walk from the train station was easy, about 6-7 minutes. The hotel itself is a little dated, but they also offer a nice pool, hot tub and sauna. The pluses of location, wonderful staff, quiet location and nice breakfast included make this a great choice.

The facility could stand a little updating, but it was still very nice.

Everything was wonderful, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. They helped us with hiking plans and even loaned us some hiking poles. Very friendly staff. Can’t beat the view of the Matterhorn! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place for a stay in Zermatt.

The view of Matterhorn from our room. The neighborhood is a bit off from the center town, so, it was quiet, yet close to train station, etc. Our room was spacious with good bathroom. Dining room was very nice! We enjoyed breakfast there.

The hotel staff ware all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very delicious. We could see the beautiful Matterhorn from the terrace of the room.

Amazing location, wonderful stuff, I broke my leg first day, so I ended up spending next 5 days mostly in the hotel and all the employees were so nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good.I will come.back and would definitely recommend the hotel., Price was also very reasonable for Zermatt.

A wonderful hotel in just a perfect location, with the kindest most helpful staff you could hope you. The room itself was a bit small, but who cares I was on the mountain all day! The beautiful shared facilities, like the hot tub and the pool, were really great. I would stay here again without a second thought.

Relatively simple but everything worked ! No frills but great value for money.

The location is fantastic, the FO Stephanie was lovely, so are the other team members, driver, restaurant staff, very friendly, made me feel like home. The room was clean, bathroom spotless, nice welcome note too. Best part is the pool & love the jacuzzi, where you have a clear view outside, it’s snowing & you are in the hot tub :-) very relaxing after a day around the village.

My only feedback is more of my personal preference. Mattress is soft & pillow was too soft to my liking, thankfully I am able to use the small sofa cushion for a firmer pillow substitute.

Great location, nice views from the rooms. Very responsive staff. Nice small SPA with a pool, jacuzzi , hammam and sauna.

Our room was on the 4th floor under the roof. Hence the shower was next to the wall where the roof is lower. It was impossible to take a shower properly - neither standing nor sitting. Definitely not a 4 star hotel level.Interior of the rooms is like from the 60s but without charm.

the hotel is close to train station, just about 8 minutes walking, and also close to shopping area and restaurants. The view from our rooms are superb, we can see the Mattherhorn? The staffs are so friendly and helpfull. We love the view around the hotel ?
