    • A very pleasant stay, thanks largely to the exceptional owner, Richard. who was warm, attentive, and truly welcoming both to his town of Zermatt and his hotel. The property has a traditional, old-school feel, but it is spotlessly clean and well maintained, which speaks volumes. Stellar views of the Matterhorn from the rooms, comfortable, cared for, and full of character.
    • Views were unbelievable!! Richard is a great host, very knowledgeable and helpful.

    Cons -

    • The hotel is a little ways up the hill so if you’d prefer not to walk or ride a bus to the chair lifts (especially with kids and skis) this hotel might not be the best option. It is located near a youth hostel that uses the same bus stop so sometimes the bus is very crowded with bigger groups.
    • Figuring out the trash! Very specific as to what trash goes into what bin. But I’m sure that’s a Switzerland thing and not specific to this hotel.
    • There’s a big hill you have to walk up and down to get anywhere, so it gets difficult after a long hike.

Amazing view of the Matterhorn, great host, cozy rooms from the cold and a comfortable bed.

The owner was great - super helpful. The view from our in room dinner table was outstanding - The Matterhorn.

I'm not a fan of showers in tubs. No shower soap.

I stayed in these apartments with my children and we really liked everything. The location is very good, there's a red line bus nearby that takes you directly to the lift to Matterhorn and other main ski slopes. Richard, the host, is a very pleasant person, always ready to help even beyond his duties, thanks to him for that. The complex has free games like table tennis and foosball; we regret that due to fatigue and other plans we didn't use them during our stay, only managed a bit at the end, it was very engaging. There is also American billiards for francs, which you can exchange at the reception if interested. The aparthotel has all the facilities for storing skis and other equipment, but we didn't actually use them since we rented everything near the mountain lifts. However, the technical provisions for these purposes at the hotel are excellent. We didn't use the breakfast service because we made our own, but overall it was available and looked appealing. The apartments have everything you need; the kitchen is small but fully equipped, probably has everything except a microwave, but you can easily use the oven to heat up food. The heating is adjustable, and I really liked the shutters on every window; you can block out the sun if needed at any time. The windows and balcony offer a beautiful view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding area, very picturesque. Some minor challenges - the aparthotel is located on an elevation and if you walk from the city center, be prepared for about 10-15 minutes of cardio, which we actually found beneficial. ;-) Next year, if we go to Zermatt, we definitely know where we will stay.

I never stayed in a place where the staff was so sweet and caring! Thank you Richard, he really made us feel welcome in every way! The view was amazing and the room was comfortable and clean.

Amazing stay with stunning Matterhorn views! Our host, Richard, went above and beyond, kindly fetching us to and from the accommodation despite icy winter road conditions. While slightly away from the main town, it’s close to a bus stop and offers peace and breathtaking scenery. Highly recommend!

A lovely apartment equipped with everything I needed for a week's stay. I stayed at the top floor with a view of the Matterhorn. Richard was friendly incredibly helpful, he was quick to respond to messages and sort out any problems. He also picked me up and dropped me off at the train station.

Location, view of the Matterhorn from our window, Richard (our host), spacious room with kitchen and all the necessary utensils one would need, facilities! We loved everything about this place!

Nothing we did not like ?

Met at the train station by Richard who took us up to our apartment showed us our lovely room what a lovely kind person even after our stay Richard took us back to the train station he couldn’t do enough to make our stay any more pleasant.

Nothing at all as it was perfect ?

    10JaninePosted on: 9-24-2024

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Richard was awesome and took our stay from great to exceptional. He made the check in/out process seamless and gave us rides to and from the train station.

    10JoannePosted on: 9-1-2024

Richard was a wonderful host. He collected us from the station in his electric van and was on hand to help us with anything that we needed. The room was clean, modern and in good working order. We had everything we could possibly need.

Quiet corner of otherwise very busy Zermatt. We had direct view of Matterhorn from our balcony. The proprietor was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Everything: great apartment, view, location, comfort.

There is nothing I did not like.

Lovely apartment with everything we needed. We had a fabulous patio with views of Matterhorn. Host Richard was really welcoming and helpful. A great place to stay and would certainly book it again.

It is just a short stroll down to the Spar for supplies. It didn't bother us but it is fairly steep back up if you are less able for inclines.

Nice town, position of the hous near down town, blue slopes...

    10AndreaPosted on: 2-11-2024

The location is great, only 7-10min walking to the ski lift (you can leave your ski equipment in the lockers from the rental company right at the lift, so you dont need to walk with them) very close by to the village center to multiple restaurant, bars, etc. Also, the apartments have all the necessary for a great stay and the host is super friendly and helpful! Very much recommended!!

The room is comfortable and the space is great. The host is very nice

There was no shampoo or shower gel in the room. When the three of us stayed for three nights, we were only given three small cans. We used them all in one day... I was too lazy to respond. Breakfast is not cheap. It is just a little bit of food. It is recommended not to eat it. You can see the mountain scenery very well, but it is very inconvenient to reach it on foot. There is a shuttle bus only in summer.
