Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park

It’s a classical big hotel - many tourists, busy breakfasts, entertainment program. Our summary:There are some warm (truly warm pools), the must for kids. Well cared facilities (clean, spacious), rooms are just good. With tea, coffee cups, kettle and coffee machine. At every floor you can get filtered water for free. We only had breakfasts - and they are great! Diverse and fresh (including fresh juices). Your can get your own type of the omelette done, etc. Personnel was nice and helpful. Once they forgot to clean our room with no reason or excuse, but provided fresh towels when asked). In the same time, the other part of the team checked us in earlier, very nice of them.Ocean views from rooms are great

Room was very nice, breakfast and dinner was excellent always fresh fish on the grill and a lot of variety. Nice kids club with a lot of activities.

10 min from the beach, no sun ombrella available.

Star Prestige is a great option. Pay for the better rooms; they are definitely worth it!

Only disappointment was that the 'VIP reception' for Prestige guests was often empty and then took longer than the main reception.

Excellent tennis court if you like tennis, snacks and drinks throughout the day for prestige guests

Too much noisy entertainment that was difficult to avoid so not the best for a relaxing peaceful holiday

The room was ready by 1:30pm, which allowed us to get changed immediately after we arrived. The room came with a balcony that offered a great sea view. The hotel is well located, close to Playa Flamingo and not far away from the town centre.

As we came back after dinner (around 11pm), we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. We reported it to the reception (David and Jorge), who told us that it is NORMAL to see them in the room as the hotel is surrounded by gardens. I just couldn't believe what I heard and also wasn't convinced as we kept all doors and windows fully closed before we left. To solve the issue, they sent a staff to spray pesticide in our room. Due to hygiene concerns I asked the reception to change the room for us. They refused it at the beginning, claiming that there was no room available. Later on, as I insisted that I would not stay in the room, they finally allowed us to change to another room (apparently there were plenty rooms available though they were more expensive than what I paid for). During the entire conversation, neither David or Jorge expressed any apology. As we went back to pack our stuff, the room was full of pesticide odours, which smelled harmful to human health. Again, I couldn't believe that the reception expected us to stay in this room for the night. This is my first time of staying in an Iberostar and definitely my last time.Minor issues:1. A room only got two swimming towels.2. There is no hot water for shower next to the pools.3. We were directed by a staff to the restaurant for breakfast. 10 minutes later, another staff told us that we were not allowed in this restaurant. It seems that many staff here are not very professional.4. Too few parking spaces available, considering the number of rooms.5. After check-in, we got bracelets on our wrists, which would serve as keys (and indicate the room hierarchy through the colour, which we found a bit discriminating). It was not convenient to use it as they tied them so tightly that we could not easily point them towards the door lock. After we checked out in the morning, we were told that we could still use them before departure. Unfortunately, we were denied entry around lunch time.

What a wonderful wonderful place. Straight away you just know all of the staff are delivering a luxury service. The place itself is very well designed and feels opulent. The way they balance a very kid friendly hotel with 5 star luxury is excellent. The kids pool is so much fun and kept our daughter entertained all week. The fact a stunning (albeit small) beach is just down the road is a major bonus. The entertainment was really good and again our daughter loved it. Our balcony in our family room was huge and so nice to have as a base. Most of the food was great and there is so much choice. The spa was also fantastic. We will be coming back for sure

The family room was nice but not amazing, its quite small and they sold it as having sofa beds but they are just small sofas you could choose to sleep on not actual foldable sofa beds which is what we thought we were getting.I am really into my food and I felt they slightly go for quantity over quality. I think if they slimmed down the choices and refined the dishes they chose it could be next level.

Great location, friendly and kind staff, lovely breakfast, comfortable outdoor areas and pools, very close to beach and really nice room with sunny balcony

Staff often forgot to refill the coffee capsules in our room which got annoying.

Beautiful hotel, good food, great extras for the star prestige package. The staff around the prestige pool were all exceptional & friendly.

The reception team really were poor on this occasion and let us down. The communication on check in was incorrect, we were told we can upgrade to go to the restaurant any night and we were not made aware of the package(or it being sold out) literally until I asked the evening before what the menu was. It seemed as though external guests were prioritised over hotel guests and due to the short notice, lack of communication etc it meant there were no alternatives locally. The hotel team should have made us aware prior to check in so we could organise plans. I wrote to the team via the website, they did absolutely nothing to 1. Respond 2. Offer an alternative or 3.apologise. For this reason, the review is lower than it would have been and we are not sure that we can really recommend the hotel anymore, I also didn’t appreciate seeing non guests using the outside bars, given that there should be more security around rooms etc.

Truly amazing! From check in to the sad moment we came to leave. This is an excellent resort. Spacious, spotless and comfy room. Fantastic food and drink. Staff are wonderful and can’t do enough for guests.

There is nothing to dislike. We just hated having to leave!

Hotel is located very close to Flamingo’s beach and its buildings are designed to protect swimming pools from northern winds usually hitting the island at this of the year (April) which forms a cosy place for kids and families. Loads of entertainment for adults and kids happening throughout the each day of our stay

During lunch/dinner, if we’re looking for a steak l, chef can get you waiting for a reasonable time which can stress hungry kids at times. Hotel should have double beds as well.

The food is fantastic, the room is neat and clean, a nice holiday, a nice hotel, the staff is very friendly.

Maybe a little work should be done on new deckchairs and more umbrellas around the hotel pool, but all in all I have no major complaints.

The whole Star Prestige experience is excellent. It gives peace and quiet away from young children in an adults only environment and provides complimentary services. Loved the room position (3320) and the excellent shower.The breakfast choice was good and we loved the ability to have it cooked to order.

The food is top! Excellent breakfast and dinner. Staff are very supportive. SPA is very nice. Location is great.

Its not the best option for solo travellers. The hotel is very much about families with kids, even the evening programs consider the children. Pools are always busy with kids and their parents. The hotel has a prestige section, adults only, pretty expensive.

We picked Star Prestige adults only section. B&B. This included drinks and snacks until 6pm.

The snacks at the Star Prestige were the same everyday. And the sandwiches were always dried out because they were not covered.

The property was really clean, well maintained. WiFi worked great through out. Plenty of areas for the kids to kick a soccer ball or play basketball.
