Pros +
- Everything was perfect, the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything you needed. The location was perfect, near the port and all the restaurants and the breakfast was enormous with everything you can dream off. Lastly the staff were all lovely too. Overall it was all so amazing I just wish I could spend more time there to enjoy it but the island needed to be explored.
- The layout of the rooms and pools, it never felt crowded. The proximity to restaurants was also good and we loved the promenade for walking or running! The breakfasts were great and the restaurant meals also good!
- Good location, great family rooms with separate beds for 2 children, good breakfast selection
Cons -
- Unfortunately out of the 4 nights we stayed we were only allowed to use the spa once even though I sent an email regarding the access before booking and I was told the access is open so I was very disappointed it was the deciding factor between this and another hotel.
- We liked everything
- Main pool is very cold. All pools need maintenance, but that is due to be done imminently. It would be nice if bar staff, especially at the pool bar, would come round and take drinks orders.

Location and nice staff
Sun lounges could have been more comfortable.
This was my 15th stay! I came with my mum- this hotel is fabulous, the staff are kind and helpful and they were lovely with my mum. Location is spot on- market on Wed and Saturday just through the gates of the hotel in the marina- hired a disabled buggy from Island Hire, dropped and picked up from hotel/ back November!
We love this hotel and it was our second visit within 6 months. We love the location and the ambiance, from the entrance via the church to the lovely pools and restaurant.
We were very disappointed with booking.com as we booked a junior suite which showed pictures of a lovely sea view, balcony, loungers and an outside eating area, none of which was available In room 454. It was a cold room with no outside seating and a just a pool view. I would not use booking.com to book this hotel if you want a good room.
Ideal location have stayed here on many occasions and will continue to do so. Room was perfectly positioned overlooking the main pool. Plenty of food choices
Location, rooms, staff, breakfast, evening entertainment all very good.
Sunbeds need upgrading. Maintenance of some public areas (eg walkways) could be improved.
The ambiance, the facilities and staff.
It was a shame that some restaurants and spa were closed during our stay
Nice location - lots of great places to eat and a short walk to a swimming beach
It’s a bit tired and staff aren’t well trained - simple things forgotten like not replacing coffee capsules and the adults only area for drinks and breakfast has no view and is inferior to main area. Reception never know if you’ve stayed before which we have.
Superb, comfortable room. Ingenious, if rather challenging, hotel layout. Excellent Club facilities. Good location. Huge choice of high quality food in the restaurant. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Wind in canvas covers did create some noise durlng the night, otherwise nothing.
Location. The design of the hotel everything well organized plus very comfortable rooms.Heated swimming pool.
Nothing to dislike.
Very comfortable bed, room cleaned every day with fresh towels. Walk in shower, Jack and Jill sinks, separate toilet - all excellent!Nice touch with free afternoon tea and alcohol sessions.
We must have had the only balcony that had no sun throughout the day! However the Club terrace and pool was only metres away!
Staff were very friendly and well trained.
Not 5 star. Just a bit too scuffed and worn down. Tacky. Not much to do. Everything middle quality. I would believe you if you told me this was a large 3 star package resort. Been to much better resorts in the canaries for the same price, felt a bit scammed, left early.
Very nice hotel, room had a great view and was cleaned everyday.
Breakfast (not food) was just warm, could have been warmer. Went for dinner on our first night and had the same issue.
Staff were super helpful, the church entrance with candles and music was wonderfully atmospheric, the Hotel is impressive architecture and design and located in a great area, near the Marina with good shops and excellent restaurants, lovely views of the islands. The Hotel Spa was free to attend (Swim, sauna and steam) The Hotel Room was quiet which was peaceful.
The Spa was tired and the sauna and pool water not hot enough. The outside Pool water was freezing and I did not go in because of this. It was hard to relax by pool as there were so many flies! The bed was very uncomfortable and very slim and high up for a twin room, one would expect a queen size bed for a 5 star hotel, they did provide a mattress topper but still struggled sleeping. The food in restaurant was below standard. There was a good variety of food but the Breakfast (sausage, eggs, bacon) were not hot enough so we just had toast. Nice bread and jam selection. We were told dinner would be discounted to 15 euros from 30 euros when we arrived as we were staying more than three nights. The receptionist wrote this on back of hotel map. We were still charged 30 euros as when we checked out we were told that information was wrong and you had to eat 3 nights consecutively to get discount. This was the hotels' error as the translation from Spanish to English was unclear. No apology or good will gesture to rectify which would have gone a long way, instead we got 'you are the only person to ever bring this up' and essentially it was our fault for not understanding. It is commonplace for hotels to run a restaurant discount for hotel guests, so we did not question it.The room card key was an issue and we had to get it re-set several times, which was a bit of a hike, especially as I am disabled. The hotel ground is uneven, and hidden steps everywhere that are a trip hazard. The gate to the Marina was broken so we had to cut across the gardens to get in/out until they fixed it. It was very windy, but that could not be helped. Will not go back to Lanzarote. Much prefer Gran Canaria / Tenerife!
Breakfast excellent
The spa prices were different in English ( more expensive) than in Spanish, German, and French. A different price for one nationality is discriminatory. I did not like that at all.
Beautiful hotel and grounds. Lovely spa.Extreamly helpful staff
Towels, we felt they were poor quality. No table service dinner restaurant.
Location and cleanliness
No wear to get coffee when you wanted one
Very clean Beautiful rooms. Ours was a mini suite with cave-like terrace, which we loved.Activities every day including jewellery making, which was excellent.Lots of very good entertainment including a concert by candlelight in the hotel’s beautiful church area. The breakfast was good and meals in the Yaiza restaurant were excellent.
We had a shower over the bath, which isn’t our preference. We prefer a walk in shower but I suppose other guests may like a bath.
