    Pros +

    • The owner is welcoming and you can see from the greetings that they truly care about your stay with them like brothers and sisters
    • We arrived late in the evening, we could choose breakfast time since we were the only guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
    • Location close to downtown and the train station. Breakfast was very good and with multiple choices. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. 24 hours front desk (not just a 24 hours check-in but an actual person available at the front-desk 24 hours).

    Cons -

    • The lock in our room was not working smoothly, we had to ask for help at reception desk.
    • The hotel is old and dated. The first room we were given reeked of sewer gas. The next one smelled strongly of cigarette smoke but was the better option. The rooms are dingy, the beds are old and uncomfortable, the pillows small, old and lumpy; breakfast was terrible, consisting of a few cold cuts and cheese plus cold, congealed fried eggs and cold sausages (we were there around 8:00, so not at all late). There was never any wait staff in the breakfast room the whole time we were there so we couldn’t ask for anything fresh. The hotel is next to a busy street with a traffic circle so it was noisy all night (may be better if you get a room on the back side). The location is only a km or so from the train station but is quite far from Old Town and all the historic sights of this beautiful city. We don’t understand how this property is rated as it is on booking.com.
    • Place was very moldy and not very clean. Hair in the shower. Pillow covers weren't changed. Very hard to unlock the door.

I’m sorry to say that we were quite disappointed in this hotel, but they do have lovely staff. A couple of other positives - the air conditioner worked well (though it appeared to be on a timer and shut off in the night), and the shower was ok, other than not having a door or curtain.

    Location, Price

Place was very moldy and not very clean. Hair in the shower. Pillow covers weren't changed. Very hard to unlock the door.

Quiet location, clean, pleasant staff, everything worked well, decent breakfast.

More sockets in the room would be good- extension cable would be fine. I had to pull out the cabinet holding the tv and fridge to get to a socket to charge my phone.

The room was lovely and clean. The beds were really comfy and the room had a lovely view of the hills. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money.

    No issues!

Friendly staff, Rooms are ok. Air con working ok.

Rooms could do with a bit more cleaning but quite good. No issues at all.

It's close to the train station but uphill. Bus stop practically next to the entrance.

At each floor, there's a small table at which staff smoke and eat meals, often leaving unfinished food.

The staff were very friendly and kind. I needed some assistance since I had mobility problems and they were very helpful. Their attitude was very positive. The location is pleasant, on a beautiful street leading down to the city centre.

The hotel is not very accessible if you have problems walking, there are many stairs. The facilities are quite old and could benefit from a thorough renovation. There was also a weird problem at breakfast since the hot water was not quite hot enough to brew tea.

Stayed here for one short night, arriving to Cluj by plane and catching an early train next morning. The hotel is located close to the railway station, which was convenient. My room was basic, but clean.

The wall mounted toilet felt like it was loose and sagged while sitting on it. Scary!

    7CorinaPosted on: 6-6-2023

    Good location and friendly staff!

Some renovation is needed. The TV channels are not working properly.

    9PerttiPosted on: 5-30-2023

Great location between the railway station and the Citadel Hill. Aircon was excellent. We had big windows towatds the seven-way junction, but our room was sound-proof and we slept well. The neighbourhood was quiet, and the street towards city center offered an enjoyable walk.

We could have made use of another chair in the room.

Close to the train station, in a quiet area. Easy access to the center.

Not very clean (there were leftovers in the fridge). Also, the smell in the room was unpleasant.

The location was perfect! We have been on music festival Untold! So for price and location We were satisfied. The Hotel has three stars it responds. The breakfast was good. Reception is open 24/7. The Personal were friendly and nice. We enjoyed a time in restaurant.

Good location not far from railway station, nice view , nice little handy fridge, helpful staff

a bit noisy street, blinding curtains are not that dark as wished

    6AnnemiekPosted on: 7-16-2022

Walking distance to th City, taxies were available on the side of the street at all times. Breakfast was very nice and the room was clean.

On booking.com is said that it has sound proof rooms and a hairdryer Available. This was both unfortunately not the case. But that was the reason for us to book this hotel. So I hope Booking will change this.

    6MihaiPosted on: 7-3-2022

    Pleasant

Room smelled from the bathroom toilet. TV channels were garbled, every second one was not working. No lift.

    9MartaPosted on: 6-29-2022

Air-conditioning (it really makes a difference in hot Romanian summer), the bed was ok

location on a hill climbing with luggage is no fun
