Hotel Belvedere

Hard to find but the location was amazing. Located in a park at the top of a hill above the town center. Outdoor park restaurant and bar located next door. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Access to city center by park stairway.

The hotel seemed like something from the 1980¿s. (Maybe that¿s not so bad.)The refrigerator and safe did not work. Well maintained otherwise. Even with any drawbacks the location was worth a stay.

Location and Swimming pool

Very old furniture, breakfast is provided on plate, by request without too many options... like in Ceaușescu "Golden Age Era" ... should be renovetaed completed

Beautiful old school Romanian hotel in a superb location. 5 min walk to the old center with amazing balcony views. It also has a 25m pool and excellent gym

The price for the breakfast ( 10 euro ) is not worth in. Its probably not even worth 5 euro... keep your money and go have breakfast in town.

Excellent location with a nice view of the city. The staff is really great and eager to help and support with everything you need. Breakfast was good having a lot of options to choose from

The furniture is old and gives the impression of being back in time. The parking is chaotic and crowded.

The rooms were wonderful, elegant and clean. The views from above Cluj-Napoca were impressive and made our choice of Belvedere worthwhile.

There was no parking available. Ended up parking on the nearby street, on the sideway.

This is a hotel I've always wanted to stay at, the views from my room's balcony were incredible, the room was clean and quiet. The AC was quite and cooled the room perfectly. Wi-Fi was fast. What I liked the most is what others have called outdated, the furniture is real wood and actual has some character. Personally enjoy the daily hike back to the hotel and was an easy way to get some cardio in.

lobby, hall, elevators and room were clean; new and clean cloth shower curtain; new and clean sheets and pillowcases; furniture totally fits the room - dated and quaint; windows have great view over the city; can easily walk to town; could refill our water bottle; very quiet

air conditioning unit is behind curtains so you can't close curtains when using; we booked a room for 2 people and got one bath towel; shower head needs to be held to use - not convenient; walk down hill has many steps for those that need to know

Old-luxury style hotel, a monumental building on the top of the hill towers over the whole city, with a garden around, just next to the old town.

Excellent location with views of the city. Has on-site restaurant if you do not want to walk the stairs down to the city center. Lots of delivery options if you want food brought to you. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is not a negative for me, but consider that the hotel is on top of a hill. To get to the city center, you either have to walk down some stairs or otherwise call a Bolt or a taxi (or drive, if you do not mind spending your time hunting for parking spots.)

Very old furniture and amenities, bad matresses, pillows, empty minibar (even if you have a price list for it).The only good things are the view of the city and positioning, close to the city center.

Beautiful view, warm and clean room. Spa and pool not very busy.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Really nice view from the window, you can see the whole city!Location is great, 10 mins from the city center on foot, so if you come by car you can leave the car in their free parking lot for the rest of the trip.You have free wellness services - pool, sauna, gym...Breakfast is very tasty.Room temperature was just right.The bathroom had a hot tub.

The furniture in the room is from the 90s, not as modern as other hotels I've been to. Even so, the mattresses are new and I slept very confortably.

As always, location great, clean, good breakfast and swiming pool. Can not ask for more in the city center

The hotel is situated in a nice place with a great view, from which you can see Cluj Napoca. The breakfast was okay, not the best but not the worst.

The room looks quite old inside, the bed makes a lot of noise when you move in it, and the weather in the swimming pool is not as warm in other swimming pools.

The comfortable room, the nice staff, the tasty breakfasts - these are the positive sides of the accomodation. Climbing up the hill where the hotel is located was the challenge however the view rewarded the effort.

The room could be equiped with a kettle.

We liked the view from the hotel to Cluj Napoca.Big parking space. The New Year’s brunch was delicious.

The bed was noisy in every movement in it. We got up at night when the one of use turn around.The mattress was comfortable. Unfortunately the construction of the bed was not okay.On the other hand somebody started the fire alarm at night because he/she used firework on the balcony during New Year’s Eve.

Staying here feels like a journey back to the communist era, as the property hasn't been renovated yet. However, it offers decent comfort and good value for the price. The highlight is the access to the swimming pool and sauna area. Breakfast is acceptable but unremarkable. Additionally, the availability of parking is a significant advantage in Cluj-Napoca.

Reaching the hotel at night can be quite an adventure, as the stairs from Somes are poorly lit and in disrepair. The breakfast could also use an update and improvement to better meet guest expectations.

Uncomfortable

The room had a strong chemical smell from cleaning products. The thermostat was faulty and the room was super hot, we couldn’t turn off the heating and had to change the room at 2 am to another room that was again super hot. I’m never going back in winter, their heating system is ancient
