Hotel Sunny Hill

The hotel is in a very quiet area, on the edge of the city. Exactly what I was looking for. Very good breakfast, the staff is beyond expectations.

The elevator is old and defenetly needs to be changed or better maintained, from grown floor it shakes like crazy and it moves really slow. The room was not to my expectations for a 4 star hotel and for the price. Lot of things needs to be changes especially in the bathroom where it smelled like mold a little bit (around the shower it was dirty, the shower head was dirty, the cabin leaked). We found hair on the bed.. blond, I'm brunette and so is my husband. It was fairly clean but not to the expectations of a 4 star hotel. This is a 3 star hotel, and the price was way too high (415 lei a night with breakfast, which was not worth it(in the first day it was super fancy, probably food from an event they had a night before, second day not so great, not a lot of options; that sparkling water was not sparkly, the orange juice was really bad with pieces of something floating in it)). Both nights we were lucky enough that they had parties, for one with the music to a decent level, second night the windows in our room were vibrating(thank God we were tired and eventually fall asleep by 12). The restaurant next to the main building, Coquette i think, was really overpriced (again had big expectations) I ordered the carbonata (original) and the sauces was separated, I basically has omlet with pasta and guanciale. The waitress was not interested when I told her. The mini bar was empty, thank god we had the prices (10 lei for a 330ml bottle of water, again 4 stars prices, not 4 star anything). The view is good but just that.

The restaurant looked nice. Didn't eat there but it was beautiful.

There was mold in both bathrooms.

Dirt, cobwebs on the ceiling, mold in the bathroom, especially in the shower, and more…

Location was quiet and in the center of nature. Bed was comfy and clean.

Room was filthy. Shower had mould around the cabin as well as inside. A lot of dust was behind the curtains. From a 4 star hotel in Europe specialy in Cluj, I expect clean conditions and not such dirt that it makes your stay unpleasent. Also the restaurant has metal chairs for outside terrace, but given the dish prices it has, there should be comfortable chairs there.

I really like the location and the value for money. The receptionist is particularly smiling and helpful !!

Everything was ok, we had a room with an amazing view to the forest, large , with a great terrace. We were excited, and definitely we will come back.

The room had an excellent space for staying. I had the apartment. This place generally has some kind of charisma. Personell is flexible, nice, helpfull. I would definately come back.

The hotel is very clean and the room is quite large. Breakfast is very good and varied. The hotel is located in a quiet area and is highly recommended.

Found the hotel receptionist abrupt. I went down to ask about the heating as we were so cold had our coats on in the room. He just said the heating was okay, did not offer to check or suggest anything. Breakfast was nice. Main room clean other areas such as stairs not so good. All open areas such as 5he ‘lounge’ areas unheated. There were furries of snow so building was cold. Proof of this was the reception had a blow heater on!

It’s called Sunny Hotel for a good reason. It’s a nice green and sunny area, very different from the neighborhoods in the city. Totally worth the distance from it. Great and quick room service. Nice staff.

Breakfast was good, room was clean

The mattress was very soft and was moving with me, I could hear a lot of noises from the plumbing and other rooms.

The room is spacious and very clean. The bathroom, double the size of normal, offers everything you need to feel very good. The breakfast was surprisingly tasty and varied.

It’s a nice and clean hotel, a bit outside Cluj. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok.

In the middle of the night it started the AC, and the fan was loud. Really loud. Louder than being in the middle of the city, and having the windows open. The bed was hard. Almost like a wooden bench or something.

I always stay in Sunny Hill when I visit Cluj Napoca, for a good reason: I like this place!Large, clean room, comfy bed.Excellent restaurant, delicious breakfast.Good value for money.

The bathroom... could still be a bit cleaner.This time there was no mustard at all (even after I asked) during the breakfast in the restaurant. Come on... this is Romania, at a place where sausages are served for breakfast...Earlier I could pay at the end of my stay, listing the charges for the room and the restaurant on one invoice. Now they charge the room during check-in. This way I have two separate invoices (one for the room one for the reastaurant), which is less convenient to handle at home at the accountant. I would much prefer one invoice.

I like domestic animals like cats, but in the courtyard, not on the check-in desk, in the kitchen or in the dining room!

It was a nice, a bit overrated “old school” type hotel with a beautiful cat at the reception. Normally it is a well equipped three star rated accommodation.

Not renewed. Tiny details make it down.
