    Pros +

    • Room decor, location, friendly staff, free internet.
    • The staff. Very nice and good comunication.
    • It was a perfect location for my purpose, tourist attractions, shops and restaurants within a walking distance. The room 24 was small, but comfortable (bed and desk) and warm. The complimentary apples in the coridor was a nice welcoming touch.

    Cons -

    • The mattress was a little uncomfortable; parking is free, but limited
    • It wasn't as clean as I expected. I found hair in the shower. Yuck! The room was smaller than shown in pictures.
    • There were two things that bothered me though. The reflective glass wall which I couldn't escape as whereever I was in the room I saw my reflection. I understand that it is a designer's solution to visualy expand the space and make the room more bright, and possibly without it the room would have felt a bit claustrophobic, but for me it just really destroyed any sense of coziness. The other thing was the lack of fresh air I experience in such small rooms. The AC had to be always on for the air to circulate as the roof window was not meant to be open. Also it would have been nice to have a small lamp at the desk.

    The room, terrace, free coffee…

Unattended, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Situated on a hill alongside a major artery, the driveway offered safe unloading and loading. Half hour stroll into commercial center.

Bed mattress was board hard. Hot water had 3-4 minutes delay. No lift, so stairs to reach any room.

Very good location. the rooms are spatious. it is perfect for short stays.

the room was close to the reception and it was a little noisy, also the windows do not provide sufficient soundproofing for outside noise.

Relaxing beds, comfy room, great shower

The breakfast is great however planing it is a bit difficult. Ask the front desk/ reception man for details

The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean and cozy, the internet was fast and the big screen smart tv was a nice surprise.

    Nothing comes to mind.

Our situation was so tense, that I can't fine any good things in it.

I was quite disappointed when we arrived, there was no information on the villa's page that the room (which we booked) is in the basement, with no proper windows! It’s against the law to offer an accommodation, which has technically no window. This was not the only room I think there were 3 more(!) like ours.I don't know how the process goes when You try to join the Booking.com community, but shouldn't be there an verification inspection? Or does Booking.com allow You to market this? The Host offered me to cancel the reservation, He agreed to waive the cancelation fees and return the money. We were Obviously stuck in the situation, because there was no way we could find accommodation, not on a national holiday weekend in Romania.

Loved how cozy the entire villa felt, the beds were sooo comfortable, and the room itself was very pretty and nicely decorated. We also had a good breakfast tailored to our preferences and were able to prepare coffee and tea all day long in the breakfast room. Location is great, right next to the botanical garden, and very quiet, although it’s on a busy road.

Didnt like that the entire bathroom filled with water whenever we took a shower, and also you should know the property is on a steep hilly street, so keep that in mind if you come carrying heaving luggage.

Easy and contactless check in/out, free coffee anytime (very welcome at our very early departure), clean and comfy rooms, very good location. We did not try the breakfast as we left early.

All was very good, except for the very intense sewage smell from the bathroom.

A great location, walking distance from the city center and the nice restaurants, quiet surroundings. An old villa refurbished with great design, nice and cosy interior, modern finishes. Friendly stuff, great guidance for access. Parking lot. Great value for the money.

The room felt a little bit cold because it was the transition between seasons.

Excellent building with very nice design and lighting, loved the style of the rooms and the breakfast!

Doors are not very sound proof ;-)

My room, #26, had a foul smell of old mops and mildew that greeted you as soon as you opened the door, it seemed to come from below the shower. I was very tired and it was late, so I closed the bathroom door and went to bed instead of insisting on a room change. There was a hole in the bathroom wall covered in tape. There is a 5-digit keycode system instead of keycards, so you are stuck if you leave your room without your phone. They only send you the code on WhatsApp, so if you arrive without international data service or have not yet purchased your SIM for the EU, you are really stuck. The manager is surly and brusque when you call for help with the code, and even if you speak Romanian (as I do), he speaks fast and with irritation even when you ask him to slow down.I asked for a kettle in the room but it was not provided. Instead, they expect you to descend three flights of very tall stairs to the basement, where there is a generous spread of coffee and tea 24/7, however, carrying that tiny paper cup of boiling tea back to your room is awkward. The breakfast system is weird, you won't get fed unless you fill out a request sheet and once again go downstairs to drop it on the desk -- they can't even be bothered to collect from your doorstep it at midnight or early morning like most hotels. The breakfast was ready at the time requested but I prefer an attended buffet as is standard in normally warmhearted, welcoming Romania. The place feels deserted. It doesn't feel safe to have not one live human being visible, and for an irritated man to bark at you if you call -- so you can't even ask routine questions. The mattress had some kind of plastic cover that resulted in my waking up covered in sweat at the middle of the night. The room was noisy, being right on the street with a small skylight the only window. And it smelled absolutely awful, intolerable. The location is pretty good but not amazing, and superficially the hotel is attractive.

The staff is absent, the place feels abandoned, the room smelled awful, the mattress had some strange cover that makes you sweat, and there was almost no window. Everything goes by a long keycode that you need data service on your phone to access. The manager is impatient, rude and surly and can only be reached by your own cellphone. God help you if you arrive from overseas without EU or Romanian phone service on your cell. Romania is famous for its kindness and hospitality, warmth and chattiness. You will see none of that here. And that man who answers the phone with irritation and not the usual Romanian politeness (this is a very polite and courteous country) is a big liability for a traveler who doesn't have the courage to ask for what they need. Also they depend on technical savvy, and not all of it works. They sent an online checkin link that didn't work. They expect you know to hit an extra button after entering your digital code on the door. The rooms have keycards but they are non functional. All of this requires resolution by calling the irritable, grouchy invisible guy from your cellphone that I hope has service. They don't even provide a landline at the desk where you might call him if you were stuck, or an intercom outside. No cellphone, no lodging.

    Windows facing road, quite loud

Position near the city centre. Good breakfast.

Room, humidity in the room, the bathroom was not clean and the bed was not comfortable

Great communication with the hotel staff. We aardiger in the middle of the night due to flight delays but everything went smoothly. Airconditioning in the rooms was an absolute plus. Free water, coffee and tea was lovely.

The location is perfect. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is easy to check in and enter the rooms with the codes. For breakfast we got exactly what we ordered the night before, and was very tasty, with traditional foods on the menu. The owner at the reception was absolutely helpful when we asked for some extra after-checkout time in the hotel to change our clothes after a funeral and he also helped with paying the parking when the parking app did not work on our phones.

Great location close to the Botanical Garden. Lots of restaurants nearby and friendly staff.

This is the second time I've stayed here and it was just as brilliant second time around. Our room was even bigger this time but just as comfortable with excellent amenities, air conditioning, and a spacious, well-equipped bathroom. Even though the room was on the main street, it has excellent sound proofing so we slept like logs.Breakfast remains the same as a year ago and just as tasty - a great start to the day with plenty of options to choose from. There's also a nice outdoor terrace to enjoy a coffee on. The location is ideal, just a short walk into the old town and city centre.I've no doubt that we'll be back again next time we're in Cluj!
