    Pros +

    • I was making plans for this trip late. There were very little options left for these dates in the area. The place looked OK in the photos so we took it. When we arrived, it turned out the we were upgrade to a suite. We were delighted. And it turned out to be a great room. Really large and having a direct access to the garden. We saw mild reviews of the breakfast. It turned out to be the prefect one for us.The access is an issue. The parking is outside of the old village, just a few minutes walk, but steep. After the first time we walked it, I found out that you can drive in the tiny village up to the hotel door. You can not park there, but you can pick up and drop off people and stuff. It all added to the authenticity of the place.
    • I love the design and the exquisite decoration of the hotel. The breakfast was Amazing, at one of the various very spacious terraces, overlooking the valley and the peaceful and quiet surroundings. We were pampered with all sort of breakfast courses:Juices, yogurts, fruits, cereal, granola, coffee and tea, almond croissants, jellies and cheese or croissant sandwiches with cheese and ham. The attendants very efficient and courteous.
    • The room was beautiful and clean. The people that work there were very helpful. Breakfast was abundant and delicious with fruits, yogurt and cold cuts. The view was amazing and the place very peaceful.

    Cons -

    • Have a sketch ready for how to access the parking place. The instructions were not very clear . Be prepared to arrive to a one way, narrow but stone paved medieval time designed and built street.
    • They no longer have their onsite restaurant. This village has no other restaurant either , with such a lovely and quiet spot, having to leave for dinner was a bummer, when I booked it showed they had one so that was a disappointment If you are a lighter sleeper and you are on a lower floor, being that its an old palazzo people just walking above you makes a lot of noise, just bring earplugs,
    • The WiFi is not available in the rooms and since the region has no network we were unable to make phone calls. There is also no considerate to help make reservation for the activities. The said activities on the website were not all available at the time of our visit. With no network we were unable to do any of the hotel specified activities. Also there is no food or restaurants nearby. Everything is a drive away.

The rooms and views were gorgeous, the linens and beds were perfect. The breakfast we did savory, was just perfect in the beautiful courtyard. The parking below was an easy walk up some stairs to get to the hotel.

The hotel facility was good. The bar was well maintained and the drinkers well served with a snack. The views were amazing and perfectly located for discovering the Tuscan country side. The breakfast was delicious.

Very beautiful, and a calm area. But it was hard to figure out it where to go with the car. There weren’t clear instructions for parking.

Parking instructions not clear. Got lost.

The hotel is in a unique location. The staff was helpful, the room was large and clean! Absolutely recommended.

The room was huge, with a nice view on the valley. Breakfast was superb. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Access from the parking requires climbing a short but steep road, and some stairs.

We had a spacious room that can accommodate a family, with 2 double beds and 2 bathrooms. Breakfast was simple but good. Hotel is very clean.

Parking is not in front of the hotel, so you need to stop on the street in front to drop the luggage, which made it complex with small kids

The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean, quiet, comfortable.

    It was all perfect.

We have the most amazing experience this summer in palazzo brandano. It is very peaceful and charming little village in Tuscany. Room was very clean and spacious, breakfast was beautiful and we recommand booking a room with hot tub.

Great location, very comfortable and good value for money. Pity the restaurant is not open

Except the fact that room was a bit cold I loved everything. I am a frequent guest at this property when I visit the area while working on the renovation of my property in vicinity and I would highly recommend the hotel

    10HanspeterPosted on: 11-8-2024

Fantastic views, very friendly staff. Very nicely renovated rooms, very comfortable and cozy, coffee machine and water and last but not least the jacuzzi bath ?…

Just be careful if you drive up thru the village with a "wide" car… better ask the front desk before your arrival where to park the car and walk a short way up.

Everything. The location, the privacy, the rooms, the staff. Even the quirky elevator! Breakfast outside was lovely.

The fact that there was no bistro or restaurant. We were very content to stay in the village of Petroio but there was no place to eat ..

Great breakfast for additional fee. Friendly staff and amazing views from the breakfast terrace

The location delightful in the lovely quiet town of Petroio. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We choose Savoury: Egg, granola with yogurt, croissant with cheese and a variety of fruit. A sweet breakfast is also available. The staff was excellent, very helpful, the rooms tasteful and spacious, the bathroom had a nice big shower ( great shower head) . I would highly recommend the Palazzo Brandano.

We wished there would have been a restaurant or even one to walk to. You have a perfect patio and I could look into a kitchen that seemed very well equipped for some simple evening meals ?

Excellent service from the hotel reception team. Always attentive, available and cheerful. Congratulations also to the team that prepared breakfast - fabulous! When we return to Italy, this will be the accommodation we will stay.

    Everything

The walls are thin and someone in the room next to us came banging on our door while I was taking a shower telling me to turn my music down. I was playing music on my phone in the bathroom with all the doors closed so not sure how they heard it
