- Check in host Hector was so helpful! Owner and breakfast host were fabulous too!Great spot for storing bicyclesDelicious breakfast with lots of options and coffee drinksWalking distance to everything in village
- We stayed for 1 night and we had a very good time. The house was old and somewhat neglected, in an neglected neighborhood, could sleep 7 people, had a functioning kitchen, not very well equipped in general, but it was still charming and had the best view in the village. We really enjoyed the balcony on the top floor, location was very good close to every site of interest in this charming village, quiet at night (we had a very good sleep). Staff was friendly and helpful and overall we would stay there again.
- The view was fantastic and the appartment was authentic like the rest of the city. Very friendly hosts.
Cons -
- For breakfast it is better to prepare something on your own, or buy something in the village, although it was served in an charming room.
- The bathroom could use some modern changes. Also, maybe to do something to reduce the noise that you can hear from the next rooms.
- Dark and un inviting room, the shower was very small a larger person could not fit to have a shower. Toilet was leaking and left a nasty smell

The terrance and location in the city were really good. The staff was nice and presented us everything we needed to know about the location and the city. I liked the old decorations and trying to keep it close to the old city.

The friendliness of the staff and the bereakfast

The location is excellent, and the accommodation combines charm with traditional design. Valentino was outstanding; we truly enjoyed his company during breakfast. We also want to extend our gratitude to Giuseppe at the front desk.
Historic CentrePleasant quiet atmosphere of the old town.View of the basilica.Good breakfast.
Small room with old furnishings.Bathroom with toilet and very small shower cabin.Accommodation is foldite to find and can be devided more houses.
We loved the different outside seating areas! Even though the owner didn't really speak English, he was very friendly and hospitable. The accomodation is situated in a very cute village with several nice restaurants.
The bathroom was a bit outdated and the breakfast was a little basic.
The view is very beautiful, a real romantic Sicilian small mountain village with narrow streets and Mount Etna
The breakfast had only sweet things, but apart from that, the owner was delightful, a true Sicilian
Breakfast was satisfactory thoughwe would have preferred a greater choice of fruit. This was not unusual. It seems that Italian breakfasts revolve mainly around bread/croissants and cakes!
There was no heating in our room on the first night and it was very cold. However, Valentino sorted this out quickly the next morning and the room was cosy after that.. The heater was noisy though but we recognise that this was a very personally run hotel and almost a home from home.
The room was very comfortable and in the town centre. Public parking was easy within 2 minutes walk. The breakfast was incredible - a full selection of Sicilian cakes and pastries, served in a beautiful traditional-feeling room. Valentino was super-friendly and helpful and even gave us ideas for Sicilian recipes and cooking.
Very friendly and welcoming and helpful staff..Lovely location. Pleasant outsde communal spaces.
Amazing Sicilian experience in small village. Building is arranged beautifully, in the center of the village. Room was confortable, with AC. It was clean and quiet. All the people are very kind and helpful. Very nice Italian breakfast. We received additional salami, cheese and olive oil.
Very bad smell in the room. Coffee to the breakfast with powder milk in paper cups.
Great stuff (he recommended us great place for dinner - restaurant President), comfy and cozy room, nice place with nice views.
There wasn't hot water when we arrived, but the staff offered another room with hot water. The bathroom was tiny, but for backpack travelers, it is enough. We would appreciate a higher temperature in the room.
Amazing authentic accomodation in a medieval town, excellent stay with amazing service. They even arranged an early breakfast so we don't leave with empty stomach for our Etna trip. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we really enjoyed our stay ?

Excellent breakfast, super cute location, friendly staff.
In the winter (Feb 2022), the room was either cold (if the a/c was off) or too hot and dry (if the a/c was on). No middle ground. Fixing the heating situation for the winter months would be a significant improvement.
Good breakfast (very tasty croissants!!!!!!!).Man with little dog was very nice.We liked here
Great view over the castle that dominates this hilltop town; excellent breakfast. The aircon can be for heating as well, which came in handy on a chilly night. The owner has been very helpful.
Breakfast was the standard Italian breakfast (sponge cake & crostata). 2nd morning we were also given very good Italian cornetto which were very close to French croissants (the best we've had in Italy so far). Our room was cute with attached terrace with a fantastic view of Castello Lauria. We sat there for our al fresco dinner picnic, fantastico. Tony was very helpful and accommodating at the Reception. Gave fantastic recommendations.
The bed was squeaky, perhaps the joints needed to be tightened. The handheld shower head did not have a place to hook it (it was broken). The stopper in the sink needs also to be fixed, it kept falling down and would prevent water from draining. Generally, some more maintenance needs to be done on the place. Which otherwise is very cute.
Host was very helpful. Breakfast was god.
Shower was a bit small.
