Pros +
- The staff is very accommodating. I had a 2 day delay due to the airlines and they held the room for me as well as helped with discounting the day. Food is great. I ate there most nights. I needed breakfast before the buffet started and they would have a packed breakfast for me to go in the morning. Wonderful staff. Really spectacular views and right in front of the lake.

- First of all the staff is top notch. My five stars comes because of their attentiveness to detail. The staff went above and beyond in many ways. I'm a rock climber and often had to leave earlier than the 7:30 a.m. breakfast. They made me packed breakfasts every single morning when I had to leave early at 6:00 a.m. When I had time to do the sit down breakfast was very good. I also had a situation where I had a flight delayed for 2 days in Newark, I arrived a day late. This hotel could have charged me for my hotel room but instead accommodated the situation with extreme understanding. My negative feedback is I thought I was getting a single king size bed. Instead, two twin beds pushed together with a bar in between the two bed prove to be extremely uncomfortable word versus an actual king size bed.. The shower water pressure is amazing, but the setup was of sorts that water was all over the floor post shower and it's a little bit claustrophobic. Also for somebody who really was hoping to sleep in before change in hotels 10:30 a.m. is pretty early. Restaurant food is extremely delicious. Rooms for the most part are quiet except for local construction going on! which I can only assume is because of the Olympics. It is not the hotel's fault for the construction that's taking place anywhere near and around Cortina. So even if I chose to stay at a different hotel here in alleghe, there would be construction. Of the same kind.Oh no yes I would stay here again with request for a better bed. They also have parking.
Cons -
- My only complaint is if you request a queen bed mine was two twins pushed together and you can feel the frame of the beds in-between so it was uncomfortable.
- The dinner menu was not clear — it was difficult to understand what we could order and what needed to be selected between the options. The dining room staff did not speak English well enough to explain the menu, so I called the receptionist for help, and she was wonderful. The breakfast was very limited for us (we don’t eat meat), and no vegetables were served at all. When we asked for tomatoes, the staff was helpful and made an exception for us.

The location of the hotel is truly fantastic – right on the lake, which makes it very special. The staff were extremely friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.
As for the room, everything was fine except for an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom. It clearly needs some renovation. We also feel that the price is a bit too high for a room in this condition, even considering the wonderful location.
Little room since it was a room with a sloping ceiling. Could not even take a shower standing up.
aside from the nice people at the reception everything was BAD!
Just horrible!aside from the nice people at the reception everything was BAD!dirty, stuffy, no air circulation, it was an attic and the ceiling was hot and so low that we bumped our heads every time we got up from the bed and stood up, you couldn't even stand in the shower, the floor was super slippery and the shower head aimed toward the floor and the door to the shower, everything got wet and we had to use almost all of the towels, you couldn't open the door to the balcony to get some air because of the neighboring building and mosquitoes, the cooking smell from their kitchen was so strong it was disgusting, the mattresses were old and sunk, the room was suffocating. they gave us a small fan but it didn't help much. we were not able to sleep it was so hot.just horrible!!!!!!!
Location ; comfortable bed; quiet
WiFi was very weak and spotty often times
We liked the location, it's very beautiful location you have lots of attractions around this place. Breakfast is also delicious and staff is helpful
We did not have kettle in the room. it would be great to have it, as most places offer
Good breakfast, amazing location on the lake, staff were very kind and very helpful.
Small room, booking said we should have had a balcony but did not get one.
Hotel is in a very nice location, close to the gondola, and the transportation to the ski lift is also provided. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly, helpful, professional and warm.
The rooms in the attic are a bit cramped due to their smaller size. The single beds don't have headboards.
I enjoyed an upgraded suite on the southern side with a beautiful view across the town to the mountains. Big room, great shower/bath, comfortable bed. Quiet (except occasional generator noise). Breakfast great. In-house restaurant ok. Friendly staff. Location good.
Wifi pretty weak, and don’t try to have a hot shower at 6pm on a cold day. Fridge could be newer/bigger
Nice room with good view )
there was no kettle and other utensils in the room
location in the town of Alleghe is outstanding and the staff is always wo default and accommodating.
you can get a room that doesn't have a stand up shower.
Room:Nice deep tub to soak inGood water pressureGreat views from the balconySpa:Massage was lovely, though not having a real check in area or obvious reception made it a bit confusing. Location: Perfect spot to be for exploring the dolomites. Parking/accessible:While not on site, there was an easy access and elevator from the lower floor to make it easy to get to our room. A VERY nice plus with heavy bags.
Room:The bed was so soft it literally had you cocooned in a center divot. VERY bad for backsThe shower had a jacuzzi setting for a full body massage (I think) but it was not working. We bought Europe adaptors and they worked fine in Venice, however, we had to request an adaptor at the desk here as our adaptors prongs were too big? and there were 3 instead of 2.... so we went from having three outlets to be able to charge cameras/phones etc to only having one. Spa:The hot tub was basically just the kind you would have on your back deck, and the water was literally yellow/brown so was not something you really wanted to sit in. It also was not very warm, nor very strong. Floors in the spa area were EXTREMELY slippery. Steam room only had room for 1, maybe 2 people if you were willing to sit very close. Restaurant:There is no clear place to ask about a table and nothing was explained. We had to just wander in and ask how/where to sit for breakfast. turned out, we were assigned seats based on our room, and we just always sat in the same place. The restaurant staff were very...snooty? Pretty much ignored us, or were very brusque when we did make a request. We felt very put off for eating there at dinner, giving off the air that were were not fancy enough to dine with them. Should have more than one coffee maker - there was often a line up of 4+ people waiting for coffee.
Very kind staff and helpful for parking and check in though it was later at night
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Staff are super helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Brilliant place to stay
Great staff. Very friendly. Great breakfast. Great location
Everything about the Sporthotel exudes care and consideration. The well-ness facilities, the varied cuisine, the ideal location and above all the professional and conscientious staff.
Wonderful location by the lake, and in the centre of Alleghe. Close (by car) to many Dolomites hikes.Great fixed price menus for dinner, with a nice salad bar.Good breakfast, just missing some fresh vegetables.
Parking was free but sometimes tricky to find
Beautiful location and a wonderful view! The town is small but enjoyable to walk around, and the hotel is in a perfect position on the lake. Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and staff were very helpful providing us with an ice bucket, corkscrew, and wine glasses to the room. The restaurant also sells delicious ice cream cones which were perfect for a walk around the lake!
No air-con (and it can get quite hot in summer), but otherwise great!
